02/11/2025: Very nice place, friendly staff, and considering it wasn't crowded, we waited an hour for the pizza. As you can see from the receipt, it's not cheap, it wasn't good at all, and it arrived lukewarm. Since they have two ovens, it might be worth using both.

13/10/2025: A traditional and welcoming trattoria, with authentic, fresh fish and traditional dishes just the way I like them, all delicious. The friendliness of the family management is very welcome. It's a great place to stay and enjoy delicious fish and meat dishes. The fish is incredibly fresh, as in Marano, fishing boats arrive every day with freshly caught fish. Every dish is delicious and cooked with excellent recipes and according to tradition. The price is good and reasonable. I recommend this trattoria, located just a few steps from the center of Marano Lagunare. 😊😋

08/11/2025: We were seated at the "osteria," which is essentially the bar where people from outside came and went for coffee. The first course arrived after almost an hour, cold and undercooked, sparse, and served in a bowl. The foie gras was good. They tried to charge €4 for the cover charge instead of €3.50, which is still excessive for a placemat and a paper napkin and the setting in which we dined. Four pieces of turnip and a greasy, tasteless sage leaf didn't qualify for the entrée. The owner was completely indifferent to our complaints. Despite the excellent wine list (even though the one we chose wasn't chilled), I wouldn't recommend it.

10/05/2025: Tremendo. Potessi gli darei 0 stelle. Prezzi super gonfiati per delle pietanze che di qualità potevo ricercare al supermercato . Non sto scherzando. Un'insalata dell' Lidl buttata dentro una ciotola direttamente dalla busta: non condita, con appena un po' di frutta secca. Buoni i gamberetti, ma seriamente 5 di numero x 15 euro? Per non parlare della paella. Mai neppure vista. Appena sedute (siamo arrivate alle 19:10), ci dicono che avremmo dovuto aspettare mezz'ora. E va bene. Aspettiamo aspettiamo e aspettiamo, e alle 20:30, chiediamo della pietanza per due e ci dicono che bisogna aspettare un'altra mezz'ora/40 Min. E il locale era pure semi vuoto. Ora capisco il perché. Ci siamo alzate e siamo andate via. Mai più.

26/04/2025: A very welcoming place in Trieste's historic center. I opted for the Valencian paella with sangria. Excellent selection of ingredients.

06/12/2025: - The ambiance and everything around it is really lovely. - Our room faced the street, which was a bit inconvenient (unfortunately, this meant walking past the other guests' terraces). - The staff's helpfulness is incredibly wonderful. - There is free parking. - There's an on-site restaurant that I can highly recommend.

16/11/2025: We stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful property. The terrace overlooking the sea is a real treat. We enjoyed a rich, high-quality breakfast in the restaurant. We will gladly return. Thanks to all the staff.

30/11/2025: I had to think about it a bit before writing as balanced a review as possible, partly because I was recommended by friends who had warned me about the prices, and partly because I never like to write reviews on the spur of the moment without thinking first. That said, I can say with complete confidence that the products used (scampi, tuna, cod, pink shrimp, prawns, blue shrimp, scallops, and baby squid (and not calamari as indicated)) are of excellent quality despite having been frozen some time ago... The cuisine, in my humble opinion, is nothing so exceptional as to justify the €270 spent (without even knowing the cost details) for two people with 10 small dishes of appetizers only, 5 raw and 5 cooked! Let me explain... minus the estimated €40 for the bottle (we drank a Trentino seafood mix, a bottle that cost €15-18; I hope I didn't pay more than €40), plus dessert (four slices of Sacher Torte, really good, but I don't know the price), two bottles of water, and the cover charge, the remaining €200-210 for the two menus is truly excessive, both for the quantity and the quality of the presentation and cooking! I'll definitely be back for some good wine with some friends, but I doubt I'll order anything else to eat again without a menu and the prices on display, given how good everything was! The price is Michelin-starred, but it isn't, and in my humble opinion, it's very far from becoming one! The owner is very kind and introduced himself even though he'd just undergone surgery, which is worthy of applause, but unfortunately, I repeat, the price is way too high! Finally, a major lapse in style with supermarket pink salt, supermarket bread, and pairings with bitter, out-of-season zucchini and a Garda olive oil that, in my opinion (given the fantastic olive oils from the Carso region), is truly of extremely low quality! I'm sorry to say this, but unfortunately, Trieste and the Carso region continue to lag far behind the rest of Italy in the restaurant industry! Yet we have plenty of good products! What a shame!

15/12/2025: A welcoming restaurant serving seafood. Service could be improved, not so much in terms of speed as in terms of attentiveness. Quality food, well-prepared.
