22/02/2026: An excellent traditional trattoria; we tried both first and second courses, as well as a pizza. Everything was excellent, definitely among the best restaurants we've tried in Naples. Ask the waiters for recommendations, as not everything is on the menu, and they'll be able to help you choose.

16/12/2025: The place is very large, the decor a bit run-down. It has a shabby feel, perhaps because of the low season. I ordered an octopus salad, a bit cold but not bad, but it was sparse; there was no celery, a few cherry tomatoes, nothing. Then came the scampi linguine, which was neither praise nor infamy, and a pre-packaged sorbet. Beautiful plating isn't enough if quality doesn't support the whole! Overall, I didn't have a bad meal, but the service was truly lacking and unprofessional. The quality-price ratio was very poor: €50 for a beer, an appetizer, and a first course; €6 for a commercial sorbet that costs less than a euro at the supermarket. And it doesn't end there: the bill was given on a slip of paper with no fiscal value, without a receipt. I don't recommend it.

Pay attention to the excellent gluten-free option! A special mention for the spaghetti with sea urchins, memorable! Extremely kind and welcoming service. Fairly priced for the quality of the products. Well done!

06/12/2025: My group stumbled across the most unassuming little hole in the wall restaurant and ended up having the best pizza of my life. No exaggeration. From the moment I walked in, the place had that authentic, no frills charm that tells you they care more about flavour than flash. The aroma alone should win an award. The pizza was perfection. The crust had that rare balance of crisp on the outside and soft inside, the sauce tasted like it came straight from a family recipe that has been guarded for generations, and the toppings were fresh and thoughtfully layered. Every bite was the kind of moment that makes you pause and appreciate what real food is meant to taste like. What made it even better was the staff. Friendly, genuine, and proud of what they serve. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every detail. If you ever want a reminder that the best meals often come from the most unexpected places, you need to visit this spot. Hidden gem does not even begin to describe it. I’m already planning my next trip back.

09/02/2026: I had lunch at Caronte on Saturday with my wife and four-year-old daughter. We chose the place primarily for its lakeside location, because the little girl wanted to see the ducks. There's nothing to complain about: a charming location, quick service, and courteous staff. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. The place has remained virtually unchanged since it was twenty-five or thirty years ago. This can be a plus, as it gives a sense of familiarity, but unfortunately, here it becomes more of a sign of inaction. The kitchen is open to the public, with no filter whatsoever, meaning that once you leave, you carry the smell of frying with you until the evening, including your coats. Moving on to the food: for the little girl, we ordered a chicken cutlet with fries, both frozen (as indicated on the menu). The fries initially seemed to be sold out, but then they "magically" appeared: a kind gesture from the waiter, but the fact remains that we're talking about an industrial product. I ordered fried anchovies, but they weren't anchovies: large, dark, bitter-tasting, more like a poorly prepared mixed seafood platter. I only ate a couple. The octopus appetizer was acceptable, nothing memorable. The fried calamari, also frozen, was the biggest disappointment: selling industrial rings for €18 in a seafood restaurant is frankly hard to justify. The two spaghetti "alle vongole" were the final blow: no clams, just lupini beans, pasta immersed in a sea of ​​yellow oil, parsley sprigs added as a last-minute garnish. The pasta wasn't very good, at least it was well-cooked, but €15 per dish is way too much for this result. The final bill: €97 for almost entirely frozen cuisine, flawed or mediocre dishes, and no real attention to the quality of the ingredients. I hate to say it, but these days a place like this seems to be supported solely by its lakeside location. With all the competition, that's no longer enough. It wouldn't take much: cook better, choose decent ingredients, and tidy up the space (the paper tablecloths taped to the ceiling to cover the room's imperfections give off a shabby look). I don't like leaving negative reviews, but paying almost €100 for bad food is too much. The location is splendid, but everything else definitely needs updating.

The atmosphere was familiar and informal, pleasant. The location on the lakeside is beautiful, better when less crowded, otherwise the noise is guaranteed. 📌 Negative note: Let me start by saying we're animal lovers, but seeing cats at the tables eating leftovers from the plates of departing guests wasn't a nice sight. They'll even be washed in the dishwasher (I hope!), but it's unacceptable... I'd probably go back; but not because of the cat issue, which poses a risk of food contamination.

08/09/2025: I was on vacation with my mom in Sant'Agnello at the end of August, and we stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant at the end of our stay. The value for money is excellent compared to the surrounding restaurants. A pizza Margherita for €7? A dream! The staff was also very friendly; one of the waiters immediately made an effort to speak German after learning where we were from. Highly recommended!

15/09/2025: My mum and me had a great lunch here while in the thermal baths. The restaurant is part of them. Our fish (catch of the day) with olives and capers was just what we needed, the aubergine parmigiana and provolone stuffed pepper too. we even got an extra stuffed pepper with provolone cheese, very tasty.
