12/01/2024: Da Gelsomina is one of the best restaurants on the Island of Capri. Located in Anacapri, the other city on the island, it is a little further away, HOWEVER, the restaurant itself offers a free pickup service for its customers. They pick you up in the center of Anacapri, take you to the restaurant and drop you off when you return. This is excellent!!!
The restaurant is beautiful, located in a wonderful place with spectacular views. They have their own vegetable garden, from where they harvest fresh ingredients for their dishes, and a grapevine for their homemade wine. Everything delicious.
Don't forget to try the traditional and incredible RAVIOLI CAPRESE and my favorite, the green Gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce. Sensational! For more brasilecapri. with
22/12/2023: I have not encountered this restaurant in any of my research prior to coming to Capri but came on the recommendation from our host at our hotel who helped to book reservations. He told us that we would have an amazing experience at this restaurant in Anacapri but when I looked on the map, it was actually outside of town! I wondered how we would get there considering we only had bus tickets as tourists. It's simple, the restaurant offers a complimentary shuttle service from Anacapri to the restaurant and back.
Once we arrived, I knew that we were somewhere special! Thanks to our reservations, we were given a stunning table by the window where we could witness the magnificent Capri sunset as this restaurant is facing west and is famous for or their sunset views.
I can tell you that their food was just as impressive as the the setting sun! The service was top-notch and on point from the experienced wait staff. All of the food was expertly prepared and incredibly fresh especially the seafood. We ordered a local fish that was prepared with olives and capers and it was absolutely delicious. This was a truly memorable dining experience and one that we will not forget for a long time from Capri!

14/10/2023: An impressive place with azure blue water and rocks, small beach and unfortunately you can't visit the lighthouse, but worth a visit. The landscape is simply impressive!!

02/04/2024: Very nice discovery, meal in a garden of lemon and orange trees. The food is very good, with seasonal and local products. I recommend this place when visiting Anacapri!
01/04/2024: We tried the aperitif at their wine shop. We were greeted by trained, kind and helpful staff. The offer is very valid, both in terms of wines and food, on the menu you can find delicious dishes that are different from all the rest of the nearby offer (top tartare and focaccia with octopus water!). The only advice I can give is to personalize the location more with more particular furnishings, in line with their menu. For the rest, I think we need to reward the commitment of those who dare and believe in what they do, we'll be back!

16/02/2024: One of the rare restaurants open in February, the food is quite good, the service rather friendly, but the prices are quite high, allow €20 for a plate of pasta.
07/02/2024: The owner was nice and allowed us to charge our phone, so 3 instead of 1 star.
The pasta was over salted so 2 out of 3 dishes were tasteless, we got a €10 discount but we still paid €30 for dishes that we couldn't eat. The lasagne was even good, but not amazing. Maybe we were just unlucky. A total of about €60 for 3 dishes and two of us left hungry.

16/01/2024: Gradola is one of the best places to enjoy the Sunset on the Island of Capri!!! the bar/restaurant is beautiful, very quiet, nothing fancy! As it is a gateway to one of the public beaches on the Island of Capri, many people spend the day there! Enjoying the sun, taking a dip, having drinks and eating some appetizers and dishes! Again a local place!!! Where there are residents it's always good! In high season, every Thursday they have a sunset party! Gradola Sunset Party, it's delicious! a great DJ will play and the atmosphere changes, and then there is music, lots of people and the INCREDIBLE view of one of the best places to watch the sunset on the Island of Capri. 18/10/2023: We were advised by a friend to check this place out as it is very popular with the locals, which is always a good sign! It is a sun-lounging area,bar and restaurant situated on different levels of the beautiful cliffs in Anacapri. As we had arrived at a time when lunch had ended and dinner had not yet begun, the restaurant was empty and the staff were having a break. However, as soon as they saw us we were welcomed and they went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The chef himself came to our table asking how we would like each dish cooked and presented, and the fried sardines were impeccable! All the amazing dishes, flowing drinks and breathtaking view made for an unforgettable evening and we must have stayed for four hours! Thank you so much to each and every member of the wonderful team at Gradola :)

Il servizio e' professionale ma anche amichevole e simpatico. I piatti al di sopra di ogni sospetto: raffinatissimi e saporiti, con sapori molto naturali: una lavorazione delle materie prime semplice ma non per questo facile, anzi! Quando vuoi esaltare il sapore del singolo ingrediente e unirlo armonicamente agli altri, senza lavorazioni complicate e snaturanti, non ti puoi permettere il minimo errore. E' un lavoro di precisione che fa l'ottimo chef!
Il posto e' mozzafiato. Il costo elevato ma assolutamente commisurato alla offerta!!!
29/09/2023: Abbiamo scelto questa splendida terrazza per festeggiare il nostro anniversario di matrimonio, abbiamo fatto un aperitivo sulla terrazza, un moito e un negroni accompagnato da un misero snack tre coppette con olive, mandorle e lupini che si addicono piu ad uno chalet di mergellina che ad un hotel di lusso al costo di 44 euro! La cena buona, tagliolini fatti in casa con là bottarga e un antipasto con tartare di tonno , ottimo il dessert all arancia , un flan delizioso, vino molto caro un fiano ad 80 euro la bottiglia!Ci ha servito un cameriere un po troppo invadente che quando ha saputo del nostro anniversario ha detto a mio marito “anche lei ha la palla! Inaccettabile per un ristorante elegante!

21/01/2024: Tutto perfetto. Staff accogliente, gentile e mai invadente. Cibo di altissimo livello e, a mio parere, per ciò che si vede in giro, anche il prezzo è adatto alla qualità del prodotto.
Vastissima scelta. Squisiti gli antipasti così come i vari primi che abbiamo provato. La stanza finale dei dolci è stata la ciliegina sulla torta di una splendida esperienza.

19/10/2023: Posto bello ad Anacapri ma non di sera perchè non era visibile il panorama. Qualità buona ma assolutamente nulla di eccezionale che giustifichi i prezzi stratosferici (un esempio di antipasto: insalata di mare € 85,00!) e sproporzionati anche per Capri. Bella la sala dolci ma non dovrebbe essere consentito l'accesso a gruppi numerosi di persone per una ovvia questione di igiene che, infatti, non è assolutamente garantita! La sera che ci sono stata la sala dolci era invasa da un gruppo di giovani industriali che gridavano e sostavano all'interno senza rendersi conto del luogo pieno di cibo e con la compiacenza del personale che consentiva tutto ciò, rendendo inaccesibile il luogo agli altri clienti. Noi, infatti, abbiamo perso il gusto dell'unica cosa carina. Il personale gentile e disponibile. Non ci tornerei assolutamente.

05/12/2023: Posto incantevole dal panorama bellissimo. Abbiamo fatto sia aperitivo al tramonto che cena: buona cucina,piatti tipici della tradizione caprese. Posto consigliato soprattutto per la possibilità di usufruire del loro servizio taxi per raggiungere il ristorante.

As soon as you step into the restaurant you feel a sense of calm and the warmest of welcomes from all the staff. start with great cocktails served with fun and delicious taster dishes in a lovely relaxing garden. we could sit here all evening but then we would miss out on a fabulous dinner. We have been 5 times now in the last year, Capri is a very special place and this restaurant is also a very special place. We hope to return soon. your efforts and attention to detail to make this such a lovely welcoming place are greatly appreciated. we are very pleased we found you. Emma and David.

19/11/2023: Locale sporco disordinato da segnalare alle autorità.Sembrava di stare nei peggiori bar di Caracas…carne immangiabile servita su un piatto sbeccato è filato chissà da quanto tempo…lo sconsiglio a tutti.

13/10/2023: We ordered 3 different pizzas and had a bottle of water. The service was pretty fast and good, also the price and taste for pizza.
On Thursdays evening the place was not too crowded, so it was pretty easy to get a table.
Everything was good, but no wow or something like that. Just usual meal.

21/10/2023: Per essere precisi, vorrei dare un 3 e mezzo: ci sono pro e contro sulla nostra esperienza, per
Per la location, ubicata al centro di Anacapri, possiamo dire che è ottima. L'operatrice che ha preso in carico la nostra prenotazione al telefono, è stata molto cordiale ed educata.
Al nostro arrivo al ristorante, ci accoglie l'addetto alla sala in maniera molto amichevole ed ospitale. Bella la sala, un po' ambiguo per gli spazi interni avere adiacenti le scrivanie della reception.
Io e mia moglie abbiamo ordinato due primi (agnolotti con totani e patate e mezze maniche rigate con gamberi), molto buoni; poi per secondo abbiamo ordinato due porzioni della ricciola alla carta, di cui abbiamo apprezzato il sapore, un po' meno la porzione, tuttavia nel conto finale ci è stato "scontato" rispetto al prezzo del menù. Per concludere, due dolci deliziosi, una rivisitazione del tiramisù e ed una mousse ai lamponi con gelato al pistacchio.
In conclusione, la nota dolente è il prezzo, un po' troppo caro e privo di giustificazioni se proporzionato alle porzioni di alcuni piatti o di altri servizi.
Ciononostante, il ristorante era agli ultimi giorni prima della chiusura stagionale, e quindi voglio dare un augurio per il prossimo anno, con qualche miglioria a qualche piccolo difetto.
