25/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience. We ordered an appetizer, a first course, and a bottle of wine from Mrs. Anna. She forgot the bottle, and we had to ask another waiter for it after 10 minutes. The appetizer arrived twice, the wrong one, and on the third occasion, Mrs. Anna came over to rudely explain that we had ordered that one. I explained that wasn't the case, but she insisted I was remembering incorrectly. In the end, to avoid a fight in the middle of the restaurant, I kept the appetizer she wanted, a mixed seafood appetizer with smoked salmon (I imagine locally sourced...), rubbery octopus, shrimp, and fried anchovies—perhaps the octopus was a local product, but it was still very poorly cooked. Now, aside from the 1980s-style appetizer with a mishmash of ingredients, it's shameful that a restaurateur would dare use such a tone and, rather than admit her mistake, insist on convincing me that I was wrong. Even if that were the case (and it isn't), you can cash in and bring me the appetizer I wanted—the customer is always right. Aside from the incident, the location is beautiful, on the seafront overlooking a quiet beach with a beautiful sunset view. The prices are outrageous, especially considering the menu includes so many frozen products and only fresh mussels and clams—there are no fresh fish options for the main course, which is a bit embarrassing for a restaurant overlooking the sea. The appetizer was inadequate, as mentioned above, and served in such a large portion that it left us hungry for the main course. I wouldn't recommend it.

06/06/2026: We ate well. The panzanella was good. The risotto was delicious. The grilled octopus wasn't particularly tasty, although the potato mousse was sublime. The dessert was average. The location is very beautiful; let's just say the price was a bit out of line for what was on offer.

03/07/2026: Arguably the best restaurant in Forio! Delicious food, great prices, and incredibly friendly staff—they really work hard! The mussels are fresh, juicy, and tender, the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta are wonderful, the steak is juicy and delicious, and the calamari frittura—tender in a crispy batter—are superb! The menu is varied, with seafood, meat dishes, and appetizers (in Italian, English, Russian, and German). We had lunch and dinner there, and we will really miss the delicious food and warm service.

02/07/2026: This is a must if you are near forio, the food is outstanding and the staff are amazing . I've been a couple of times now, I wanted to try the linguine with lemon which was off the charts so on my last day I came back for some seafood. Has the seafood gnocchi, so good, the gnocchi is perfect and the fish is amazing. Very chilled atmosphere, have space in and out which is useful for a day like today where there were storms. Easily one of the 5 stars I've given

20/07/2026: Bella Napoli Restaurant in Forio is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants on the island of Ischia. For over 13 years, I've been returning to eat here every time I'm on the island, and it's always a guarantee. My favorite dish is the Mosaico Mare: a true specialty, prepared with the freshest fish and the highest-quality ingredients. Each course is meticulously crafted and showcases the flavors of the sea to the fullest. A special thanks goes to Leo and his wife, exceptional people who welcome each customer with kindness, professionalism, and a passion for their work. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and you always feel welcome. If you're looking for a restaurant where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish and have a wonderful culinary experience in Forio, Bella Napoli is a must-see. I highly recommend it!

07/07/2026: Searching online for a place to eat, we came across Gisella's. What can I say? It was the perfect choice! A family-friendly atmosphere, attentive and caring staff, truly excellent food, and...a breathtaking view! Highly recommended.

01/07/2026: We came back to this restaurant because it left a lasting impression on us… 10 years ago. The only thing we clearly remembered? The portions. Absolutely, ridiculously, almost scientifically oversized. 😂 Happy to report… nothing has changed. One plate of pasta is easily 500g or more. If you leave hungry, it’s probably your own fault. Inside, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. It’s genuine Italian kitsch, with a décor that seems to have ignored every design trend of the last few decades. And somehow… that’s part of its charm. The food, however, is in a completely different league. We had 4 primi (first courses, pasta), 1 secondo (main course), 1 contorno (side dish) and 5 Fiori di zucca ripieni di ricotta (zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta)… and those stuffed zucchini flowers deserve a standing ovation. Simply spectacular. The bill came to €160 for 5 people. It isn’t cheap, but considering the quality and the portions, it’s very fair value. Come for the food. Stay because you’ll need an extra hour to recover from the portions. We’ll definitely be back… hopefully after we’ve digested this visit. 🍝😂

15/06/2026: We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Bella Vista and it was a wonderful evening. The setting is stunning, with beautiful sunset views over the sea, but what really made the experience special was Francesco. He is a gracious and charming host who made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was very good throughout, the recommended wine from the family vineyard was excellent, and the tiramisu was one of the best we have had. Some chatting with a young honeymoon couple at the next table, added to the warm and relaxed atmosphere. For us, Bella Vista was more than just a restaurant – it became part of a very special memory. If you are visiting Ischia and looking for a memorable evening with great food, wonderful hospitality and unforgettable views, we highly recommend it. Five stars.

12/06/2026: I recently discovered this wonderful restaurant in Foriano. We ate there for lunch and were treated wonderfully by Francesco, who was extremely helpful and attentive. The view is stunning, encompassing the western part of the island. The food was delicious, as per tradition, with all local ingredients.

24/07/2026: A traditional restaurant with generous portions. I had a tender tagliata, and my wife had a grilled sea bass, which was cooked well and cleaned to perfection. I recommend it.

23/07/2026: Very nice and relaxing location, excellent for both a dinner with friends or an intimate one. The waiters are professional, welcoming yet discreet, and the food is good. We booked through The Fork and they honored the booking conditions. Parking is limited, even though they say there's a convenient spot, but you can't have everything.

27/01/2026: Pleasantly surprised by the coffee with my feet in the water for €1.50! The prices of the dishes are also very reasonable for planning an afternoon at the beach in a small cove of blue water including a hot spring.

10/10/2025: Sorgeto a wonderful bay, the restaurant has few dishes but the service is fast and the staff are kind, excellent bruschetta and I ate a very good plate of octopus gnocchi.
