18/05/2025: As far as I know, it's the only Michelin-starred restaurant you can visit with your dog. It's been one of the best restaurants on Lake Garda for many years and has rightfully been awarded a Michelin star for many years without interruption.
05/05/2025: Ho festeggiato il mio compleanno in questo ristorante e l'esperienza è stata fantastica! L'atmosfera è accogliente e calorosa, con una vista davvero spettacolare. The best were the courses: colourful, aromatic and delicious. The only note concerns the choice of 10 courses which, unfortunately (or fortunately), left us full before the end. The duration was a little long for us, but we were the ones who chose the menu. However, an unforgettable experience!

24/05/2025: Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend mit exzellentem Essen gefreut. Tisch reserviert, damit nichts schief geht.
Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zum vorbereiteten Tisch geführt.
Die Weinkarte der Hammer……da fällt die eigene Wahl schon schwer, insbesondere wenn man zwar gerne Wein trinkt aber sich nicht als Weinkenner bezeichnen kann.
Wir wurden gut beraten.
Für die Essensauswahl war das nicht nötig, wir entschieden uns für Antipasti mit Spargel, einmal gebraten mit Speck und einmal mit Bozner Sauce. Beide Varianten Neuland für uns.
Die Variante mit Speck war nicht gut verarbeitet, der Spargel schlecht geschält und somit nicht gut zu essen. Geschmacklich auch eher verhalten von den Aromen, lediglich der Speck gab ein Minimum an Geschmack ab.
Unter der Bozner Sauce hatte ich mir auch etwas anderes vorgestellt, ich erhielt jede Menge gehacktes Ei mit etwas grünem ( vermutlich Schnittlauch) und etwas Balsamico darüber geträufelt….leider ohne irgendwelche Gewürze und daher recht trocken und fade….schade….war insgesamt wohl keine gute Idee gewesen.
Als Hauptspeise war einmal das Rinderfilet mit Bratkartoffeln mit Rosmarin bestellt und Tagliatelle mit ragu von der Ente.
Und da zeigte sich doch der Meister der Küche.
Das Filet war qualitativ hervorragend , gut gewürzt und perfekt zubereitet und auch die Beilage war sehr gut, ebenso die Nudeln mit diesem Entenragout waren deutlich besser als unsere Antipasti…..
So hat der Abend doch noch einen guten Ausklang gehabt….
Ob wir wiederkommen? Wahrscheinlich nicht, denn dazu gibt’s hier so viele gute andere Möglichkeiten, aber es war schön die Erfahrung gemacht zu haben und wir würden anderen durchaus dazu raten es mal auszuprobieren, vielleicht waren es einfach
nur die falschen Vorspeisen für uns.
21/05/2025: Sinceramente non ho trovato nulla che non andava! Bellissima location del ristorante e bellissima l'architettura del locale. Belli e curati gli ambienti in stile rustico. Piatti della tradizione di ottima fattura. Servizio cordiale e preciso. Il conto è in linea.

Sono una ragazza affetta da disabilità, mi sono recata per prendere qualche trancio da asporto e mi sono resa conto di essere presa in giro e imitata nei miei movimenti. Ho fatto finta di niente magari ho sbagliato ho pensato. Ma poco dopo il titolare nuovamente mi ha fatto ancora i gesti. Proprio tutto sotto gli occhi nessuna vergogna. Sono rimasta esterefatta e profondamente offesa. Non tornerò mai più. Pizza buona ma un comportamento del genere non me lo sarei mai aspettata.

29/05/2025: An Utter Disappointment — Unworthy of Any Stars, Let Alone Three
As seasoned diners who have had the privilege of experiencing virtually all of Italy’s 3-star Michelin restaurants, we were genuinely appalled by our recent experience at Casa Perbellini – 12 Apostoli in Verona.
From the moment we entered, something felt amiss. It took an inexplicable 12 to 15 minutes just to be offered an aperitif — a wait that would be questionable even at a provincial trattoria, let alone at an establishment purportedly at the pinnacle of global gastronomy.
The amuse-bouche — typically the chef’s moment to spark anticipation and delight — fell embarrassingly flat. Bland, unimaginative, and utterly lacking the finesse one expects at this level. But worse than the food was the service: indifferent at best, negligent at worst. The staff appeared disinterested, with an air of aloofness that bordered on contempt. Not once did we feel welcomed, valued, or engaged.
The sommelier, in particular, was astonishingly disengaged. Her lack of passion and initiative stood in stark contrast to the vibrant, knowledgeable sommeliers we’ve encountered across Italy’s finest restaurants.
After enduring this cold, uninspired atmosphere for far too long, we made the decision to leave — something we have never done before at a Michelin-rated establishment. It simply wasn’t worth any more of our time, nor of our appetite.
What was most disheartening, however, was the complete absence of what makes Italian dining so unique: warmth, spirit, hospitality. This was not a culinary experience; it was a lifeless procession.
We strongly do not recommend Casa Perbellini – 12 Apostoli to any genuine aficionado of fine dining. In our view, it does not merit its place in the Michelin guide, let alone its prestigious star rating. This was not merely a bad lunch — it was an affront to what three-star dining should represent.

Update:
Following our initial experience, I received an unexpected phone call from someone identifying himself as the chef/owner of the restaurant. Instead of showing empathy or any intent to resolve the situation, the call was aggressive, accusatory, and deeply unprofessional. My wife and I were both on speakerphone and found the tone extremely distressing — she felt particularly threatened by the exchange.
This only reinforced our impression that this establishment lacks not only hospitality, but basic respect for its guests.
What should have been a special celebration turned into a disturbing and regrettable experience. We have since submitted formal complaints to both the Michelin Guide and the Verona tourism board.
24/05/2025: The modest entrance on the narrow Via Antonio Tirabosco doesn't give us a clear idea of where we're about to dine. In this case, to celebrate the gastronomic and oenological joy of an unforgettable meal. Nor does it give us any idea of what history has seen fit to preserve beneath what is now the space that houses Gian Carlo Perebellini's restaurant. A chef who joined this establishment at the age of 18 and remained in charge of the restaurant.
A tour of the facilities allows us to admire the collections of pens from illustrious guests, which have earned the Mondadori Award, or the Roman ruins that speak of the centuries of history that gave rise to the space that today houses a delicious space that demonstrates how a pastry chef has paved the way to become one of the greatest exponents of 21st-century Italian cuisine. The experience of the Chef's table, a delightful space that allows you to contemplate the long menu as you eat, the silent work of a well-coordinated team of 12 cooks, plus the Chef, who passes notes and constantly approaches the table to check that everything is running smoothly.
The room has class and youth. The sommelier knows the risk of having to incorporate new pairings every day for a menu that constantly transforms, where flours, cheeses, and vegetables mark the backbone.
Freshly baked breads, crispy edible crusts. We can't deny that the pastry chef rises in the kitchen to offer bites where textures define tiny, sequential universes.
Gifts like caviar with a mini passion fruit sorbet (zabaglione & caviale affumicato). Or the delicious grissinis with slightly smoky notes. They return, time and again, to be refilled when you barely have a couple left. If the wide assortment of mini bites that open the menu isn't a sampler of what we can enjoy, the second offering after caviar comes with a crispy bouquet of green asparagus and crayfish.
Flavor, textures, freshness on the palate. They go even further with the tomato, celery vinegar gel, and a lovely béarnaise foam. Simple and effective. A gift for this first part of the menu, where the sea bass is somewhat lost in a tartar with goat cheese and licorice extract. Perhaps the lightest of the dishes, but one that captivates with the crunch that serves as a millefeuille.
The dentex is impeccable, also with a good combination of mascarpone and Cantabrian anchovies, which are very popular among the greats of transalpine cuisine.
The combination of the goat's milk ravioli with pea water and red shrimp is delicious. Although I admit that domestic peas are sweeter and have more flavor. I smile. The pasta, fusili with clams, is accompanied by a creamy anduja, a sobrassada from southern Italy, accompanied by a shellfish bisque. An outstanding dish, as everything else we tried has been.
Two meats round out the menu: lamb and veal with pigeon breast.
Desserts are extensive in the first bites: a chocolate sugar, and more sweet treats.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to follow the world route of all three-star restaurants that offer so much happiness at such a reasonable price. About €350.
Coffee, grappa, laughter, and conversation are reserved for private dining.

11/05/2025: It's the first time I've eaten in this restaurant, it was a very pleasant surprise, very good food, then the boiled meat with pear, an exquisite Veronese dish, then the waiter who followed us was very kind and helpful, we asked if he could put us at an outside table, we had two little dogs, he satisfied us straight away, when we left we wanted to give him a tip for his availability but we weren't able to, if we return it will be done.

06/06/2025: Le cadre est très agréable, quel dommage de louper une pizza !!! Quel intérêt d’ouvrir une conserve de champignon de Paris et de la mettre sur le jambon blanc bref c’était écoeurant. Même la pâte était décevante. En France elles sont meilleures !!! Ils se sont rattrapés en nous offrant le limoncello du supermarché bref la totale …. nous sommes très déçus en général ! À éviter car pas cher pas bon comme dans la pub

02/06/2025: We decided to have lunch here before going to the nearby Sigurtà Park and it was a good choice.
We ordered a mixed appetizer of cold cuts and the tongue carpaccio with green sauce.
For the first course we ordered a mix of house tortellini (they change based on seasonal products)
If I remember correctly they were:
- meat
- cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella
- nettle
- pumpkin and amaretto
Everything was really delicious 😋 I will definitely be back.

13/05/2025: Location carina, molto ariosa, menù di tutto rispetto, eccellenti il bollito e la pearà. Meno bene il servizio (o la linea in cicina?): dagli antipasti al caffè siamo stati serviti in tempi completamente diversi e per ultimo dopo quasi un'ora è arrivato il carrello dei bolliti. Un pranzo durato dalle 12.15 fino alle 14.30 inoltrate.

Recently renovated, well-kept and welcoming environment. The service is fast, attentive and thoughtful, with a staff always ready to satisfy every request with courtesy. The menu is rich and varied, with many delicious proposals that make it really difficult to choose: every dish seems like a temptation! The food is simply excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and great care. Only regret: not having tried the meat cooked on the modern fireplace, which promised to be a real treat. It will certainly be the occasion to return!
