I found it a bit disappointing. The food had too much cheese and was just mediocre for a real Italian place. We also had a bit of difficulty communicating and reading the menu because it was Italian only

The staff wasn't very knowledgeable. We had to ask for the wine list because it wasn't brought with the menu, even though we'd ordered dishes, not pizza. It wasn't served because they didn't have any of the wines we requested. So we asked what they had available; they could have told us right away. The Primitivo del Salento we ordered was good. The dishes were good; all six of us ate a different first course.

A modest, yet elegant and clean place. The cuisine offers excellent dishes, and the pizzas are quite good. Perfect service. Friendly and helpful staff.

Hotel Elefant

19/01/2026: I was with a group from Poland for New Year's Eve. We had a wonderful time, the food was delicious, the rooms were modest but comfortable, some had balconies. The views were of the mountains, which were illuminated by the rising sun in the morning. The service was great. I recommend it.
03/01/2026: New Year's Eve spent at the Elefant Hotel was fantastic. Friendly service and amazing food, at least for New Year's Eve. Totally amazing. The town is quiet but well-organized. They issue free transportation passes for everywhere on buses, coaches, and trains. I recommend this place.
