02/08/2025: We have been coming to the Trovato family for over 20 years every 2/3 years, this is the 2nd time in the new restaurant. Everything is perfect, having done (the pre catelan, marcon, anne de Bretagne, the 3 kings, villa Crespi....etc...) the 3rd star would be deserved.

30/07/2025: We tried the meat menu degustation. Food was beautifully presented and delicious, however the accompanying sauces were rather salty and spoiling somewhat the experience. I have mixed feelings about the atmosphere - the venue is ultra modern, very impressive architecture and design yet a bit cold and stern for my taste; I did love the breathtaking vistas of Tuscany we could enjoy all along our meal through the huge glass facade of the building.

02/09/2025: Wonderful experience! Excellent tasting menu with traditional, quality dishes! Great attention and kindness towards the customers! Very beautiful location; we had lunch in the internal courtyard. I will gladly return ♥️

25/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic lunch experience! We had the beef tartare, Grilled pigeon and Tiramisu. All dishes were the perfect portion size, each with a unique and exquisite taste. The staff were very friendly, attentive and really made the atmosphere relaxing, refined and such an enjoyable meal. I cannot recommend this ristorante enough!

16/09/2025: Delicious cheese to start. As a vegetarian I ordered the potatoes without the pork cheek and the greens, and it was delicious. The montepulciano wine was lovely. The service was so, so welcoming - everyone who served was friendly and kind. If you are veggie/vegan then just tell them as they can make you other options!

03/09/2025: I honestly don't think this place is worth the hype. After reading so many good reviews we booked a lunch there. The reservation was not necessary because the place was absolutely empty. We had tartare and beetroot tartare and then pasta with truffles and pasta with yellow tomatoes (this was absolutely the worst of the dishes we ordered). Menu seemed interesting but all the dishes we had were just mediocre, nothing special, they lacked the twist, flavour, the taste was very boring. All of them required additional seasoning. So we left disappointed. I don't see how this place could get Michelin recommendation, maybe it changed a lot since then? We had plenty of better meals in Tuscany. Yet this place is more expensive than most of the places in the area. On the good note, the stuff was nice and very attentive. Overall, I think you can easly skip this place if you are in the area and look for something else.

18/09/2025: Nothing to complain about the place, the staff were welcoming, and the Chianina strips were also very good. I decided to order a 1.3 kg cut of Florentine steak. I was asked how it was cooked, which was inconceivable to me, and it was brought to me looking more boiled than properly cooked. Attached is the photo. I'm sorry about the rest, which I consider to be good. If I ever come back here, I'll definitely avoid the Florentine steak.

08/09/2025: We've been here a few times over the years, but not for the last seven years because we've gone somewhere else on vacation. It's lovely to dine in the beautiful garden. The menu has changed slightly over the years, but the food is still delicious. The steak Fiorentina was perfect. Delicious dishes and wine, friendly staff, and the tiramisu was still just as we discovered it there years ago: fantastic!! Grazie!

18/08/2025: What can I say... A special location, a village on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and Lazio, and the chef was on top of his game like never before in showcasing the local ingredients. The tasting was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish had something unique to offer, even the smallest bite. I would have said it was impossible to rank in order of goodness, because the extremely high quality of the suckling pig, the sea bass, and the scampi were all on par. But alas, all the courses had to capitulate in the face of the foie gras, an absolute masterpiece, an explosion of flavors, textures, and even temperatures, sublime, enhanced by the stellar pairing of the white wine we were offered... When you leave, the only thought is what the autumn menu will be like. Many thanks to the chef, the sommelier, and the entire team, young but truly knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet always present...

15/08/2025: Nestled in the Siena countryside, in a splendid castle. The dinner was perfect, every course an explosion of flavor, with attention to every ingredient. The service was impeccable, attentive, and never intrusive. One of the best experiences I've ever had. Recommended for a treat for the heart and soul.

13/08/2025: In the historic center of Siena, in a building dating back to 1270, the Gallo Nero restaurant offers a particularly interesting atmosphere, featuring modern pieces elegantly combined and perfectly contrasted with the brick vaults and resin floors. The food is top-quality, perfectly cooked, with surprising twists, creating a harmony of refined and carefully balanced flavors! We enjoyed the truly excellent five-course tasting menu. The wine selection is highly refined, with a focus on local produce and small, niche producers. The dining room staff is knowledgeable and empathetic, attentive to every detail, making guests feel cared for and pampered! Highly recommended!

25/08/2025: Look, this is a proper osteria. The kind where, when a friend from out of town asks me where to eat, I send him straight here. Here, they focus on substance, and what substance! The first courses are serious fare: some incredible pici cacio e pepe, creamy like you'll never find anywhere else. And as for the meat, there's little to complain about: tender and perfectly cooked. Caterina and Marco, the owners, are down-to-earth people who make you feel at home without too many frills. The place is small, welcoming, and on one of those streets that smells of history. There's always someone who nitpicks, but when Sienese themselves return and bring friends, there must be a reason. If you want to eat well, this is the place. Make a reservation, otherwise you'll be left out.

25/08/2025: Outstanding Osteria. Simple food properly prepared and full of flavor. Marco’s interpretation of Cacio i Pepe is unique but superb. Let Katerina choose your wines — she knows what she is doing. I ate there twice in 6 days and was very satisfied both times.
