14/01/2025: I stayed in this hotel for two nights in an economy room. Cozy hotel with a lobby with fireplace, clean and tidy. The economy room is basic in terms of furnishings and bathroom but with everything you need for two nights. Average breakfast, friendly owner. Excellent location to reach the center of Volterra on foot without moving the car.

02/03/2025: Nice environment, we had dinner accompanied by live music (perhaps the volume was a little too loud), the dishes served were good enough but quite anonymous for the price paid per person (€55) for 2 courses, dessert (cheesecake perhaps not very fresh, I didn't like it) and wine. Service a little confusing but very nice place.

26/02/2025: Very nice place, with two internal and two external locations, one indoors and the other under an umbrella. Young, kind and approachable staff, excellent cocktails (Bloody Mary and Hugo Spritz) were able to satisfy me even though I am a vegetarian and have various allergies, not with the usual bagged chips. €20 for two drinks and two generous aperitif platters. I will definitely come back.

18/03/2025: Mi esposa y yo fuimos a cenar dos veces en Masó durante nuestra estancia en Florencia. Nos gustó mucho el servicio. A diferencia de otros lugares con personal no calificado, nos atendieron aquí los camareros agradables y experimentados. La comida y el ambiente eran muy agradables. Los precios son muy razonables en comparación con otros restaurantes en Florencia.

23/02/2025: La mejor comida en Florencia. Situado a poca distancia de la estación de tren principal. Personal profesional y amable. Asequible también. Es imprescindible.

Personale e servizio gentile, attento e curato. Pietanze ottime, costata eccellente. Peccato per l’assenza di tovaglia ed un babà da migliorare

28/12/2024: Partiti dal piemonte per tornare qui a mangiare il peposo: strepitoso!! Il proprietario è fantastico e super accogliente. Il menù è ottimo e i prezzi sono super competitivi. Consigliatissimo!

17/02/2025: Ho fatto altre recensioni a cui ho dato punteggio più alto ma tutto è relativo e qui si parla di un ristorante di livello con una stella Michelin. Non dò il massimo perchè non mi ha entusiasmato rispetto alle aspettative, alcune cose non solo buone, ottime, altre meno ed un servizio attendo ma non preciso, tanto personale ma la posata che casca, casca una pietanza, insomma cose che non devono succedere, piatti spiegati di fretta che non capisci e non apprezzi. Due coppie al tavolo scegliamo il menu degustazione di pesce, ripeto alcune cose eccezionali altre meno, alla fine della cena esci sazio ed il prezzo vale il lavoro, il locale, il servizio quindi a mio avviso del tutto accettabile. Almeno io non potrei mangiarci tutti i giorni ma tornerò per provare il menu di terra. Comunque bravi

19/01/2025: Ambiente molto bello e intimo. Cibo al di sotto delle aspettative per un ristorante di questo livello. Molto delusa dal pesce duro e gommoso. Sono venuta qui per le recensioni positive e sono rimasta insoddisfatta. Non lo consiglierei,Peccato.

04/01/2025: Esperienza culinaria più che pranzo. Tutto buonissimo, tutto di alto livello prezzo ovviamente non basso, ma adeguato a quello che abbiamo mangiato vista la qualità elevata. Consigliato.

05/11/2024: We went for a snack with friends after leaving the stadium. Very nice environment, attention to detail, informal, smiling and very welcoming owners. Quality local products, refined, very limited but very good selection of craft beers. Ideal for an aperitif, where different tastings are served on small platters. Not much seating space in winter, because the place is small. The only disappointment is that the price is a little above average, for two pieces of focaccia with cheap cured meats €6 is too much. I recommend going every now and then, but it cannot become a constant point of reference for eating, because you risk filling your stomach too little and emptying your wallet too much

04/11/2024: Haben hier reserviert, mehr zufällig da auf der Durchreise. Von allen Restaurants die wir in der Toskana besucht die größte Enttäuschung vom Service bis zu den Gerichten, hervorzuheben die fiorentina welche komplett kalt serviert wurde, selbiges gilt für die Teller. Werden wir in Zukunft weiträumig umfahren

23/10/2024: Gran restaurante, realmente disfrutamos. Nuestra familia de tres tenía un menú de tres platos con una botella de Chianti, dinero bien gastado!

22/02/2025: ¡Un hallazgo maravilloso! Nos topamos con esta trattoria mientras exploramos Florencia y nos encantó tanto, que comimos allí dos veces durante nuestra estancia. La señora (creemos que ella era el propietario) era amable y acogedor. El ambiente era perfecto y la comida deliciosa. Mi compañero estaba dispuesto a probar el filete florentino y él lo disfrutó mucho! Tenía la oferta especial de una copa de vino, bruschetta, bistec, patatas por 30 €, que era una gran oferta. Disfruté de la bruschetta como entrada y también de los raviolis de espinaca y ricota y la próxima vez el risotto. En ambas ocasiones tuve el cantucci y Vin Santo - que me encantó! Un toque maravilloso fue el pan con la botella de aceite de oliva para comenzar! Realmente disfrutamos comiendo aquí!

19/03/2025: I had the beef stew which was spiced with really fresh peppercorns, though the meat could have been more tender. The marrow bone is nice and tender. The tiramisu is great! We were served a lovely digestif at the end of the meal.

10/03/2025: CASH ONLY!!!! CASH ONLY!!!!! CASH ONLY!!!!! Please be aware, this is a cash only restaurant. There are no signs that will tell you otherwise. Owner was very nice and the food was great. Just make sure you have cash or a debit card to grab some out of the atm down the street

04/04/2025: I have been there I have to say that the owners are special people, the husband is a professional in the kitchen while the wife is the best in the details of the whole place and the other is very kind and nice. If you pass by there stop and enjoy a good day

24/12/2024: Attentive and competent staff. Buffet breakfast served on the terrace in the shade of the cypresses. The swimming pool is also beautiful. We relaxed for a couple of hours before tackling the journey back to the car. Free parking available to customers

18/12/2024: Genuinely cannot understand how this place gets so many good reviews, because it is absolutely disgusting. It's overgrown and dirty, broken glass around the pool that went uncleaned for days, a room that smelled like something died there, a king bed that was literally two broken singles pushed together, and the most unfriendly and rudest staff we dealt with in 6 months in Italy (the receptionist even flicked her smoke butt onto our patio). Don't ruin your holiday - book somewhere else

01/04/2025: Locale intimo a sapiente conduzione familiare in un borgo medievale dal panorama mozzafiato, con prodotti rigorosamente del territorio, patria di olio, carni e vino di qualità eccezionale. Sono andato a colpo sicuro e mi sono lasciato consigliare dal ruspante e gentilissimo Albo: pici ripassati nel pecorino di Pienza e peposo di secondo, accoppiata spettacolare. Tappa obbligatoria in una scampagnata consigliatissima.

22/03/2025: Das Essen war in Ordnung, der Wirt sehr auf sich selbst bedacht - am Nachbartisch sollte jeder einen Video drehen dass man auch sieht wie gut es ist. Zu uns sehr (!) unhöflich. Das kenne ich von keinem italienischen Restaurant, da ist sonst gelebte Gastfreundschaft. Wir können als Touristen eben nicht fliesend italienisch nur ein paar Worte und wurden zurechtgewiesen. Traurig, man ruht sich auf Lorbeeren aus.
