11/04/2025: Typical cuisine and an excellent wine list (it's a book!)!

07/04/2025: An unforgettable dinner! The place is simple, nice and welcoming like the staff. There is a vast choice of local wines and beyond. We took the cannellini and black cabbage bruschetta as an appetizer, a delicacy, followed by the Pici which were truly exceptional with both the ragù and the garlic sauce. The dessert was very good. I highly recommend because we have rarely eaten so well!

06/04/2025: Discovered by chance, I went there for dinner with some friends out of curiosity: we were excellently rewarded! At the first opportunity I returned more than willingly. Friendly and friendly staff, you feel at home. The service is fast, the portions are generous and fill you up but don't fill you up like an egg; good choice of wines. The place is very clean, simple but not shabby, on the contrary: it is still very well looked after (the paintings are beautiful). As soon as you enter you immediately feel at ease. The menu has a good choice. I took anchovies poor style as an appetizer, gnocchi with sea bream as a first course and mixed fried fish for a second course: everything was perfect. The anchovies had the ingredients dosed to perfection (often the vinegar tends to prevail), the gnocchi are heavenly, the frying is crunchy and not at all greasy. Really low prices for a fish-based dinner (a complete dinner €38). Also on the menu are pizzas and meat (although little choice of the latter, obviously: but you go there for the fish! Very fresh!) A highly recommended place, both for dinners as a couple and for dinners with friends at tables. Last positive note: at dinner the place is frequented by true Livornese D.O.C. once upon a time! ❤️

12/12/2024: I would have liked to share my experience in this restaurant, given the nice reviews, but since the opening times on Google (evidently) had not been updated, I found myself in front of a place that was closed at the time it should have been open. Sin.

14/03/2025: Hotel La Bussola is part of the Punta Ala golf resort. In a beautiful setting of flowering bushes, fragrant pine trees and a sandy it offers modern, air-conditioned luxury suites with massage pools, spacious terraces... The staff is very friendly and tries to meet every guest's wishes. The parking lot has well-maintained canopies, and they also have their own charging station for electric vehicles. If you are a golfer, the course is about 5 minutes away by car. There are also tennis courts right next to the hotel. I definitely highly recommend it!

20/04/2025: We went one evening in April based on the reviews. I thought it was an excellent restaurant but I think unfortunately a lot of people don't know how to eat. We enter and I already understand that it will be like a nightmare kitchen. Meanwhile, no one greets us. He makes us sit at a table with a dilapidated menu from the 80s, untidy waitresses who are not very attentive and not even with a smile. We take a sautéed lobster dish. Inedible spaghetti not cooked well with no flavour, no taste at all, total disappointment plus I think the lobster was frozen. I pay and I leave with the bitterness that I will never come back, and even when we are about to leave not even a greeting And as the good cavanacciulo says ADDIOS

06/04/2025: Just left this restaurant and I have to say the worst dinner of my life. A lobster spaghetti to put your hands in your hair. Plus, let's forget about the service. I had to ask for a spoon four times. And what's more, a waitress complained to herself at a request from the next table. I will never go back and I absolutely don't recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy. And I should have already understood it at the entrance from the terrible smell of garlic in the room. Let's hope we don't feel bad

28/02/2025: The product offered is not bad, I have tasted a lot worse in my life… The PROBLEM is the Service but above all the Arrogance and Rudeness of Owner (Husband) is very shabby… Asking several times for the ingredients of what was inside the Rice Fritters (Neither the book of ingredients nor the wording on the label is displayed), I was told that there was a 'Dead mouse', then 'Saffron' and finally 'I'M NOT TELLING YOU' and he stopped speaking to me... N.B: A positive note is the kindness of the sales assistant behind the counter… I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE

22/10/2024: For French tourists, I do not advise you to take the lasagna because it is really not worth it. They are not well presented, a little lukewarm and not even really good. I recommend pasta like “con Ragù Toscano”. Otherwise the service is good and the atmosphere too. Just for good Italian lasagna, we were definitely on it!

02/10/2024: Visited for a late lunch, nice small Ristorante with friendly staff and an interesting menu with lots of home made dishes. The Ravioli was very good, as was the lasagne, reasonably priced too.

03/03/2025: Picked up 2 Amazon packages today. The environment is clean and the friendliness is excellent, I can't rate the food and the service but the good morning starts in the morning........

31/01/2025: Per il rituale pranzo di famiglia, prima del Natale, abbiamo proprio scelto questo locale, il quale, ci sembrava il posto giusto per tale ricorrenza. Il cibo offerto non è niente male, a me personalmente, sono piaciuti in modo particolare i secondi piatti, anche se tutte le altre portate, sono state degne di nota. Mi ha colpito la bontà del filetto di manzo al pepe rosa e lime, nonché quella del maialino arrosto. Il locale si presenta in stile rustico, ho apprezzato molto la scelta, del resto, nelle campagne toscane è risaputo, che si mangia bene ed a buon prezzo.

31/01/2025: Quest’anno la tradizionale reunion di famiglia, prima del Natale, è stata fatta scegliendo questa trattoria. Locale in stile rustico, personale alla mano e cibo squisito. Impeccabile il maialino arrosto e gli gnocchi di spinaci con fonduta di radicchio e taleggio. Porzioni molto abbondanti e prezzo nella media.
