11/08/2025: Nice seafood restaurant in Avola. Parking: More or less, it's located in the streets near the restaurant. Location: Very nice, new, modern, on several floors, clean. Food: Good, nothing to complain about, although they misread our order and brought us the wrong dishes. Area for improvement: The air conditioning is too low; we asked for it to be turned up, but it didn't improve the situation. It's embarrassing; you can't dine in that incredibly cold weather. QR code to order: Aside from the fact that no one told us it was there (we wasted 20 minutes waiting for the menus), in a "chic" restaurant like this, it's more friendly and polite to have paper menus, to avoid the "pub" effect. Honestly, I wouldn't return, even though the food is very good. Kudos to Mattia, a friendly waiter who always looked after us with tenacity and professionalism, and a touch of humor when needed! Well done, Mattia!

26/07/2025: We recently stayed here and were truly impressed. The warm welcome, the perfect room with every comfort, and the spotless cleanliness. The breakfast was delicious, varied, and plentiful. The entire staff was excellent: friendly, helpful, and always smiling. You've stayed in our hearts... we hope to return soon!

26/08/2025: Beautiful and very welcoming location. We reserved a table just an hour in advance and had to wait half an hour for it to become available, but while we waited, they seated us on comfortable chairs in the garden adjacent to the outdoor dining area. Fast and attentive service, with very friendly and helpful staff. All the food was excellent, but a special mention goes to the Pizza Pistacchiosa: a true delight! We hope to return soon.

19/07/2025: We were at this restaurant yesterday, the second shift, and I don't recommend the fixed fish menu. 1. The appetizer was poor and flavorless. 2. The first courses, mainly the seafood risotto, were watery and in some parts almost tasted plain. 3. The second courses, the fried fish and mussels were good. The calamari with its sauce was COLD and tasteless. I don't know what went on in the kitchen, but I'd heard good things about it. If so, I strongly advise against it.

12/07/2025: U Palangaru, renowned and now famous in Portopalo. One of the busiest restaurants, for sure. The strong points are definitely the atmosphere, which I've always found very relaxing, and the Chef's appetizer: Una Bomba. The only flaw? The overpriced first and second courses. In Portopalo, I still haven't found a restaurant that stands out from the crowd. The usual first courses with cherry tomatoes, pistachios, shrimp, etc. No one ever stands out. I recommend trying something new, the potential is there. The combination menu idea is also nice.

31/07/2025: I thought a seafood risotto should have a completely different flavor: more succulent... that the fish shouldn't be mixed with the rice without blending the flavors. A bit of a disappointment. The service was attentive, however, and the sea view was pleasant. We'll try the pizza next time.

10/07/2025: Delicious Dubai spaghetti. Delicious local wine. Delicious pizza, as requested, with a generous amount of tomato sauce.

02/08/2025: Local, authentic, and very tasty food, generous portions, very fast and efficient service, friendly, professional, and welcoming staff, all in a quiet setting just a few meters from the seafront. Recommended to everyone, as a Sicilian who loves good food!

29/07/2025: Unfortunately, I have to give this place a very poor review. Starting with the good things, the service was okay because the waiters were kind, but the food was awful: two miniature tartares for €25 seems excessive, and by miniature I mean about 100g each, max. Two octopus tentacles for €18, and by 2 tentacles I mean TWO... (I'm just now seeing the photos of the octopus al mattone in the other reviews, and there weren't two, so I guess our presence wasn't appreciated given the time of day), but that wasn't the problem. The real disappointment was the owner (easily recognizable because he's the Bald Gentleman who appeared on the TV show "4 Restaurants by Borghese in Ortigia"), who started complaining shortly after our arrival about seating people too late and other unpleasant things to hear as customers. We humbly asked if there was a table for two at 9:45 PM and were told, "OF COURSE, PLEASE SIT DOWN." But shortly thereafter, this was the treatment we received: a €117 dinner consumed in half an hour amid loud complaints from the owner, who wasn't even working, but was just sitting at the table chatting. You decide. We definitely won't be returning, and I don't recommend it. I can imagine the owner's peremptory response to this review, but trust me, I won't waste time negatively reviewing a place that doesn't deserve it. TO ANSWER YOU: WE WERE THERE YESTERDAY EVENING AND I TOLD THE WAITER OVER AND ABOUT WHAT I WROTE HERE. I PROVIDE PROOF OF THIS WITH THE RECEIPT YOU PROVIDED. I'VE ALSO REVIEWED MANY PLACES, AS EVIDENCE FROM MY PROFILE, AND YOU REALLY DESERVE A BIT OF MY TIME FOR A NICE, NEGATIVE REVIEW. I'LL LEAVE THE READERS TO ASSESS.

01/06/2025: If you go early and the Chef has some time to spare, he may offer to serve you a Sicilian specialty dish (not on the menu). Just do it, you will not be disappointed! The best pizza we had in Sicily and not to forget the very friendly service. Highly recommended!

08/08/2025: Close to the center, very nice place. Parking is available on nearby streets. The entrance is a small courtyard where you can also eat outside. Excellent service: friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable value for money, good pizzas. The only downside is the restrooms: they're next to the pizza chef, and there are steps to access them, making it difficult to access the restroom because it's very narrow. Other than that, I highly recommend this pizzeria.

The parking is very convenient, close and spacious. Big variety of food in the menu, especially pizza. Also gluten-free options and vegetarian friendly. It's really worth it to come here for dinner!

28/06/2025: This was the definite food highlight of our 10-day stay in Sicily. It is important to note that you have to make a reservation, which is easily done via WhatsApp (details on their Facebook page). As a result, the only people in the restaurant were my husband and myself, and Guiseppe, the chef/owner. He cooked and served everything himself, explaining the dishes and the stories behind the ingredients and recipes (in English). He served us a sumptuous 6-course fish menu, demonstrating exceptional talent with an innovative flair. All of this, plus a bottle of local wine, for a total of €120, all in. Given the prices charged by some of the tourist traps in this area of Sicily, this is incredibly good value for what is essentially a Michelin star quality meal. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone staying in the area to treat themselves to this incredibly special culinary experience.
