Sicily is famous not only for its stunning sea and dreamy landscapes, but also for its extraordinary cuisine. During summer vacations, it's almost natural to search for the best restaurants to sample typical local dishes. After trying several places in Noto, Ortigia, Marzamemi, and other towns, I never imagined that my absolute favorite would be La Capannina. It's a family-run trattoria, passed down from generation to generation, where passion and dedication are passed down with it. Every dish we tasted was simply exceptional: authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and a cuisine that truly captivates. Even the pizza is amazing, so much so that it can compete with those of the best Neapolitan pizza makers. And then the cannoli... without a doubt the best I've ever had in Sicily: light, delicate, delicious, or perhaps indescribable, you have to try it!! A place worth the trip. I would return to Sicily just to eat at this extraordinary trattoria again.
