21/03/2026: Sicily is famous not only for its stunning sea and dreamy landscapes, but also for its extraordinary cuisine. During summer vacations, it's almost natural to search for the best restaurants to sample typical local dishes.
After trying several places in Noto, Ortigia, Marzamemi, and other towns, I never imagined that my absolute favorite would be La Capannina.
It's a family-run trattoria, passed down from generation to generation, where passion and dedication are passed down with it. Every dish we tasted was simply exceptional: authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and a cuisine that truly captivates.
Even the pizza is amazing, so much so that it can compete with those of the best Neapolitan pizza makers. And then the cannoli... without a doubt the best I've ever had in Sicily: light, delicate, delicious, or perhaps indescribable, you have to try it!!
A place worth the trip. I would return to Sicily just to eat at this extraordinary trattoria again.

02/05/2026: What can I say? Sicilian flavors in a sandwich, pani cunzatu, pizzolo, or bruschetta...all superb. Kudos to all the girls. I return to Noto often and will always eat at your place.

12/05/2026: A truly positive experience. We had lunch overlooking the sea, a stunning location, excellent food, and total availability.
The price was absolutely in line with what was offered.
Recommended, and I'll definitely be back.

06/05/2026: This was our final restaurant whilst in Sicily.
We were driving back to Catania to fly home and stopped off in Fontaine Bianche.
The restaurant adjoins the beach from an elevated position giving stunning views of the ocean and cliffs.
We were seated quickly and made our order of Pacheri with mixed shellfish. Which was delicious with a sauce to die for involving pistachios and tomato's.
All this was enjoyed in lovely bright modern surroundings.
A truly great find.!!
You must visit if you are in the area.

In Marzamemi, personal taste, the best.

13/04/2026: A wonderful culinary experience: fresh, well-cooked fish, tasty appetizers, and delicious grouper parcels. Everything was delicious. Compliments to the chef. The welcome was also excellent.
07/04/2026: Not a suitable place for those looking for places to eat fish. The portions of the house appetizer are 90 percent condiments such as onion, potatoes, vegetables and 10 percent stale, non-fresh fish whose rotten flavor is covered by the condiments. The first courses are poor, always full of tomato, spices and no fish. The second course was not taken so I cannot comment. The location is cramped and old-fashioned. I do not recommend the place and we will not see each other again.

12/04/2026: Restaurant: The service was exhausting, even though there were only a few of us; it took us over two hours. The quality was good, the wine list was good, but the portions were too small and the prices were exorbitant.
11/04/2026: Never again, we order a mixed fried fish for 18 euros and they bring 3 prawns and a squid...never again...we weren't foreigners to be made fun of...shame on us
