29/07/2026: I returned to Crocefisso Restaurant after my first visit in 2021, when I was deeply impressed. This time, I wanted to share the experience with a friend, and I'm delighted to say that my expectations were not only confirmed, but pleasantly exceeded. We chose the "Once upon a time..." tasting menu, a journey that takes guests through authentic and refined flavors: from the welcome aperitif to pane e panelle, through savory cappuccino, tortelli, grouper, and finally dessert and pastries. Each course is meticulously crafted, with a perfect balance of technique, local produce, and creativity. The chef's welcome entrée is, like the name suggests, a book you recognize by its cover: an olive seemingly placed on a small glass dish that leaves you perplexed, but once in your mouth, the delicate shell releases an intense, fresh liquid breeze that envelops the palate. Alongside it, a cherry tomato puree immersed in a drink that evokes the flavor of the classic ciabatta bread with rubbed tomato that our grandmother used to make for us as children, a bread that never turned out the same no matter how many times we tried! The table setting is also noteworthy, highly refined and never boring. A special dish is the savory cappuccino, served in a creamy cup, like a simple zabaglione, accompanied by a revisited brioche made with a soft, warm pastry, warm on the inside and crispy on the outside. A deliciousness that's hard to describe, and clearly this moment also reawakened a cherished childhood memory! One of the aspects I most appreciated was the chef's presence in the dining room. With discretion and elegance, he passed between the tables several times, explaining the philosophy of his work and the method behind each dish—obviously just a few moments, but important ones! It's an added value that makes the experience even more authentic and engaging. The location retains its charm, but what really makes the difference is the service: an extraordinary staff, knowledgeable, smiling, attentive to every need, always present but never intrusive. A welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not just a customer. Crocefisso is one of those restaurants you'll gladly return to, because every detail reflects passion, dedication, and respect for those who sit at the table. Kudos to the entire staff; an experience I highly recommend.

Leaving aside the food, which is truly excellent, there's so much history in this place and so much hard work and passion. We'll be back as soon as we're there again. 18/07/2026: Nice location, terrible service (after an hour and a half of waiting, they still hadn't brought us anything). The final portions were plentiful but incomplete. The price was fair.

17/08/2026: If I could give zero stars I would. I called the evening before for the following evening at this pizzeria, specifically asking if they also did gluten-free cuisine, given my niece's allergy, and booking two tables given the number of people, 23. I was advised to do the pizza round so that everyone could eat at the same time and mixed fried foods as an appetizer. The boy arrives, and first premise... I ran out of gluten-free dough for the pizza. To which I replied that I had called the evening before to book and that same evening and I was not told anything about this, his response? You should have reminded me by calling the morning of the same day. The truth? You didn't have the dough the evening before but in order to collect 500 euros to seat 23 people you said yes, as if I, the customer, were the one who had the task of reminding those who work in a restaurant to leave the leftover piece of gluten-free dough. His response? Well, then it means that the mistake is mine. And I'd like to see it. Of an arrogance, rudeness and conceit beyond the ordinary, and waiters who take the plate from under your mouth put you still have to finish eating. In conclusion? The little girl ate pasta with tomato sauce before us and stayed to watch us eat pizza, congratulations. Fried? A plate made only of chips, two olives and two croquettes, two plates at a table of 12, the same thing for the other table with the same number of people. Pizza round? 16 pizzas served in total for 23 people, 6 of us felt like they hadn't eaten, basically not even one pizza each, for a total of 500 euros. It's not a question of price, it's what they made us eat in proportion to the expense, but the most annoying thing was the lack of respect and the great rudeness of the boy, and the lack of care to have a consideration for a celiac child. Congratulations again. Having said that, never again. A piece of advice to the owner, choose your collaborators carefully, people like that undo everything that one builds over time. Oh and I'm not the Roman passing through, I have a holiday home there, I go down every year but NEVER AGAIN to you.

07/08/2026: A small but well-organized place, a little corner of Peru in Rome. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The prices are a little high, but everything costs money these days, and if you want to eat well, you'll have to spend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
