02/04/2026: It had been about three years since I'd eaten at this restaurant. The last time was terrible, and I'd promised myself I'd avoid it like the plague. But since one of my friends had made a reservation there and it was a beautiful sunny day, I decided to be more relaxed and join them. I've never made a worse decision. The order was easy: a portion of potatoes and four dishes. The potatoes arrived half an hour later, followed by a plate of pasta. Another thirty minutes later, another dish arrived, and at the same time, they told us the other dishes ordered by the other diners were sold out (they only realized this an hour after ordering). We decided to order more, but after an hour, the other people still hadn't received their dishes. After another 35 minutes of waiting, they bring the cold and inedible dishes (worthy of hanging in the chef's face). All this with lost waiters who seem to be passing by by chance, dirty tables everywhere, and dozens of doves feasting on the tables, truly embarrassing, grotesque, and unhygienic. We order coffees just to hurt ourselves and wait there too, obviously they arrive cold. Dejected, we go to pay the bill, but at the register there is a brawl from customers at other tables who have had a nightmare lunch (a bit of everyone, to be honest), all while the boy at the register is looking for the manager or the owner, unable to handle the situation anymore. When our turn comes to pay and we point out the absolute inadequacy of the service and the kitchen, we hoped that they will come to their senses and that they will at least not make us pay for the cold dishes that arrived an hour after the first ones, but nothing! THEY EVEN MAKE US PAY FOR THE COFFEE. SHAMEFUL. A place that thrives on location alone, with exorbitant prices and gourmet portions, inexistent service, and cuisine that mimics haute cuisine with woeful results. Absolutely avoid.

02/04/2026: Big dogs that with their tails end up hairs on the plate, narrow spaces, high prices and commercial food, shame, beautiful and typical place and area full of good and very fresh fish and instead they use there, poor but the prices are of an extra luxury restaurant

08/04/2026: The best restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life! The food was incredible, I strongly recommend the pasta with swordfish and eggplant. For starters we had grilled oysters, delicious. The service was incredible, proffessional but at the same time personal and kind-hearted. The atmopshere was incredible as well. The plates and cutlery are elegant, there are a lot of locals eating, enjoying the food in peace, without a rush. The staff also perfectly understand English, so don’t feel afraid to go there if you don’t speak Italian. If the staff working at the restaurant are reading this: Mille grazie! //Henrik

08/03/2026: As huge Harry Potter fans, we decided to dine at Flumen Alley. We were greeted by a truly Harry Potter-esque atmosphere. The place has a magical feel, worthy of a Rowling book. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As for the food, it was a very standard stube, certainly nothing special. The beer was truly excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone who, like me, is a fan of the series.

08/04/2026: The interior is quaint. Unfortunately, the outside is a spartan structure with awnings, plastic tables, and chairs, with barely adequate lighting, which could use a makeover. But the real problem is the staff: unhelpful, they don't make customers feel comfortable. I ordered a plate of spaghetti with sea urchins, which was literally drowned in oil. Remembering the glories of the past, I expected much more. I'm unlikely to return.

19/04/2026: It's a beautiful place, with an endless cellar and background music that invites you to linger. The service is appropriate, and the food... Lots of delicious dishes, revisited traditional dishes, fish and meat, cooked and raw (that's the advantage of large tables, you can try everything!). I really enjoyed it, I would go back, yes!

29/12/2025: ENCHANTED EXPERIENCE Etna Palace was a delightful discovery, truly splendid. The location, with its park, outdoor spaces, large fountain, and covered and uncovered verandas, is truly delightful. The interiors are well-kept and very welcoming, as is the staff: Maria Rita and Angela, as well as their brothers in the dining room and kitchen, were excellent hosts. I had the Christmas lunch, which was excellent, from the entrée with a welcome cocktail through to all the other courses. The fried cocktails were delicious, as were the hot and cold appetizers we received (anything but ordinary in their combinations, with a simple yet impeccable potato basket with Russian salad!). The two first courses were exquisite (and I had seconds of both): both the fresh pasta with a delicious Sorrento-style tomato sauce and the asparagus and speck risotto were superbly cooked, textured, flavorful, and savory (and risotto is notoriously difficult!). The second course (a thin rib-eye steak with mushrooms and an exceptional roux: I had seconds of both), accompanied by a baked potato, a treasure trove of delicious broccoli and prosciutto filling, was truly delicious. I would have loved to have had seconds of the desserts, especially the cream puffs, but I managed to restrain myself. The non-alcoholic drink to start, the Montepulciano served at the perfect temperature for eating, and finally the sparkling wine at the end were perfect pairings for the various courses. Add to that the quality-price ratio was absolutely in favor of the quality (elsewhere, at least, the price would have been about twenty euros more!), and I can only recommend going, and returning!
