08/05/2026: They accepted us for dinner at 9:30 p.m. The food was very good, mainly vegetables, salad, pasta and potatoes. The meat was average, good. The service was very friendly at all times, they welcomed us to the cafe and brought us a bottle of limoncello. All for 20 euros per person. A place to repeat on the next visit to the town, recommended!

02/05/2026: As soon as we entered, we were asked if we had a reservation; when we said no, they seated us at a table for two anyway, but the welcome was rather cold and uncaring. We ordered an appetizer of raw and cooked fish, but the dishes were disappointing: small portions and, even worse, sand. After pointing this out to the waiter, the response was even more disconcerting: we were told that "sometimes they don't wash properly." A truly unprofessional excuse. Unfortunately, the first course, a calamarata, also had the same sand problem, rendering the dish inedible. The experience was made even more unpleasant by the owner's attitude, who remained standing for quite some time, insistently observing the room. I felt uncomfortable, almost under scrutiny, rather than welcomed. When it came time to get the bill, the disappointment was complete: the prices were decidedly too high for the quality and attention to detail of the dishes served. A very negative experience, from every perspective. We won't be returning.

30/04/2026: I dived into the flavors of Il Porticciolo in Capomulini... If you're looking for an authentic fresh seafood experience in Sicily, Il Porticciolo restaurant in Capomulini is a must-see. I came here with a group of friends during a motorcycle tour of Sicily. For many of them, this place has been a regular stop for years, and now I finally understand why! It's worth a stop because the quality of the food is high. The fish is incredibly fresh, and every course exudes the authentic flavor of the Mediterranean. You can taste the carefully selected ingredients, not to mention the atmosphere and the view: eating with a sea view completely changes your day. As you savor the dishes, you can smell the sea air and hear the sound of the waves: total relaxation. Impeccable service: The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They made us feel at home right away, even though we were a large group of bikers. Versatility: It's the perfect place for both a lunch with friends and a family dinner. The space is spacious and suitable for all needs, with indoor and outdoor tables. There were even musicians playing traditional Sicilian music. My verdict: I had a wonderful time and I can confirm that it will become a must-visit for my future trips to the island. If you're near Acireale or Catania, treat yourself and stop here. I highly recommend trying their seafood appetizers! I'll definitely be back.

26/12/2025: We just got back and I have to say I already miss it. We only stayed one night and it was a wonderful experience, everything was unique. To those who say it's not well-maintained, I say you're talking because you have to talk nonsense, the stove... the carbon monoxide is already in your brain. Laura, a very sweet person who instills calm and sweetness, and Giuseppe, very nice, the mirror of happiness. In short, my family and I had a wonderful time, we will definitely return.

08/05/2026: The cook of the restaurant is a master of seafood. Order any of the seafood dishes and you will be blown away by the balance flavors. We had the whole restaurant for ourselves on a thursday evening. It doesn't get better than that. Thank you.

Those who find it don't simply enter a restaurant, but rather a space that feels more like a collection of lived memories. Via Raddusa appears unassuming, yet behind the door unfolds a world of objects, relics, and found items, seemingly gathered from diverse times and places. It's a place that breathes stories – not primped or staged, but idiosyncratic and personal. The space itself feels less curated than organically grown. Among antique furniture, old photographs, and curious objects, one almost loses one's bearings, yet it never descends into chaos. Instead, the impression arises of moving within a private cosmos that reveals much about its owner. On this particular evening, he was present himself, a host of quiet presence, far removed from the usual bustling restaurant atmosphere. Perhaps taciturn, but by no means inattentive – more like someone who observes rather than imposes himself. Mid-February doesn't seem to be a time for large crowds. For long stretches, we were the only guests, which lent the atmosphere an almost intimate, almost otherworldly tranquility. Only as we were leaving did two other visitors arrive. This emptiness, however, didn't feel strange, but rather underscored the character of the place: unhurried, a little out of time. The food was pleasantly down-to-earth. The cuisine is clearly rooted in Sicilian traditions, with carefully prepared classics and ingredients that reflect freshness and regionality. So, in the end, it's not so much a single dish that lingers in the memory as the overall feeling: a place that doesn't try too hard, that is unique, and precisely for that reason, resonates. We felt comfortable, well cared for, without any fuss – and perhaps therein lay its special charm.

21/05/2026: I'll share my personal experience: the owners aren't very friendly, the mixed fried food is huge because it's filled with only French fries, and very little variety. I wouldn't recommend it for the atmosphere or the food. The only positive is that it's located across from Ursino Castle.

The fireplace creates an intimate, pleasant, and familiar atmosphere. The dishes are excellent, featuring quality ingredients masterfully prepared. The staff, led by Paola, are friendly, helpful, and provide impeccable service. A final word on the impeccable cleanliness, including the restrooms, which I also find pleasant as a setting.

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.

09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive! We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

But unfortunately, of the entire list of products they were supposed to offer us, only a small portion was served. I was disappointed. This is called false advertising in my hometown.
