06/01/2026: Love this restaurant. The pizzas are spectacular, the service courteous and efficient and a wide variety of choices.
06/01/2026: A decidedly negative experience. The pumpkin pasta and the zucchini pesto pasta tasted exactly the same, a clear sign of poor quality or a lack of attention to detail.
We also opened about seven mayonnaises, and they all had an unappealing color, definitely not reassuring.
Overall, the food was very bad. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.

26/12/2025: We just got back and I have to say I already miss it. We only stayed one night and it was a wonderful experience, everything was unique. To those who say it's not well-maintained, I say you're talking because you have to talk nonsense, the stove... the carbon monoxide is already in your brain. Laura, a very sweet person who instills calm and sweetness, and Giuseppe, very nice, the mirror of happiness. In short, my family and I had a wonderful time, we will definitely return.
15/10/2025: We stayed just one night, it was beautiful, the property is immersed in a forest of chestnut and apple trees, everything is cooked by the owners, it feels like being in a fairy tale!

12/04/2026: Unfortunately, there aren't many alternatives in Acicastello's main square... Each one is worse than the last, boasting a charming location but lacking in service and food! I wouldn't return...and I wouldn't recommend it at all!

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.
09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive!
We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

I've been a customer for a few years and never had any problems, until a very rude person at the cash register, not only didn't know how to do his math, but also called the customers liars. Shame on you.

15/02/2026: On Sunday 15th February, after a snowshoe hike on Mount Etna, we stopped at a restaurant in Fornazzo. We ate very well. The restaurant was well-furnished and the quality of the food was truly excellent. I recommend the strozzapreti with mushrooms and the pistachio tortellini prepared by them. The chef deserves 4/5 stars for the quality. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and welcoming.

28/03/2026: After six years, we revisited this wonderfully authentic restaurant. They offer beautifully fresh fish and seafood, which you can select yourself from the display. The team is incredibly friendly, and we had a fantastic evening! Not to mention the almond parfait prepared by the chef himself – simply delicious!

18/02/2026: We ordered pasta with white pesto and mussels and pasta with sardines a la Palermo – definitely some of the best things we ate in Catania. The location, right on the main square but slightly hidden, gives it a great Sicilian vibe. The older gentleman who served us didn't rush – which also gives it the perfect Sicilian feel, where you can sit, chat, and eat in peace. I highly recommend it.

31/03/2026: Once one of the best-known and well-run bars at the foot of Mount Etna, sadly now it's at an all-time low...
They don't offer table service, the quality of the food has declined significantly, and it's easy to sense poor management that's causing one of the area's most famous bars to decline. What a shame!
15/03/2026: This bar doesn't take the customer seriously. I ordered a pizza, which was inedible...the cheese was so thick it fell off the pizza completely, and there was way too much tomato sauce. It was served cold. I complained and returned it. No one apologized, and, incredibly, it was listed on the receipt along with the coffee (the only thing worth mentioning). I paid €2.80 for a pizza that was awful. Shame!
