04/01/2026: An enchanting place, we stayed there for one night. We had dinner, lunch the next day, and breakfast; we had a wonderful time. They reserved a very welcoming and comfortable chalet for us, the bathroom had recently been renovated and even had a towel warmer. The food service is excellent; Mr. Salvatore, who looked after us, is a very courteous and friendly person. To give you an idea, we sat down at 8:00 PM and got up at 10:00 PM, enjoying everything from appetizers to dessert. I highly recommend it and, of course, we will return. It's a key location, given its rather elevated position. I wanted to point out that they put Coca-Cola directly at the table without even asking, which is something no one ever does.
27/12/2025: The perfect place to unplug, immerse yourself in nature, and enjoy pure relaxation. The owners are extremely kind and helpful, the rooms are exquisite, equipped with every comfort, and they accept pets. The food is excellent. The location is superb for exploring the entire northern slopes of Etna. Overall, everything is top-notch, I'll be back.

30/06/2026: After an initial aperitif at lunchtime, we returned in the evening for our booking. The service is excellent, and Carlotta in particular was a really lovely waitress.
For starters, we had the swordfish carpaccio and the mixed starters. We were also very impressed by the spaghetti allo scoglio that followed, and the swordfish in tomato sauce with baked potatoes. We can definitely recommend this trattoria.

"A real Italian family trattoria, exactly the kind of place I was looking for. Simple, welcoming and authentic place, without unnecessary pretensions. The owners and staff are very kind and make you feel at home. The food is traditional, carefully prepared and has that authentic homemade taste that you look for when visiting Italy. We prefer such family trattorias instead of sophisticated restaurants, and this place won us over. We highly recommend it to everyone who wants to discover authentic Italian cuisine!"

A place where true traditional cuisine continues to live, maintaining its identity intact over time. 2 people: a trio as an appetizer: a pasta alla norma, a mixed roast fish, fish meatballs, a lemon sorbet and two small cannoli accompanied by almond wine 90 euros
26/05/2026: The food was unimpressive, with blue fish, anchovies, and sardines. The bill was incredibly expensive, and obviously, without even a receipt. Three sardines alla beccafico cost €18 (not listed on the menu), a glass of white wine €10, and six breaded anchovies €12. The bill, handwritten on a piece of paper and without a receipt, came to about €50 per person. Only later did we understand why the place was so empty; there were only three of us, clearly customers are running away. Carlo

03/07/2026: We wanted a table with a sea view, given the terrace, so we chose the marina at 8:00 PM. They told us the terrace was completely reserved, so we could sit in the internal room overlooking the jet ski, covered by a black tarp. We refused, and then a place for two on the terrace randomly became available. Most of the tables remained empty until 9:30 PM. In the end, we ate frozen lobster, which was cooked well, frozen seafood salad, and... bagged mashed potatoes flavored with lemon and at least fresh parsley (they serve with the octopus).
The wine list was disproportionate to the menu. Highly prized wines not supported by the menu.

17/05/2026: Calm and beautiful place, great owners, yummy breakfasts , exceptional dinners, good proximity for start of the great hikes to explore mountains ( you'll need to use car 10 min drive up, also to get to the forest outside the populated area) . Place to return. Thanks!
26/12/2025: We just got back and I have to say I already miss it. We only stayed one night and it was a wonderful experience, everything was unique. To those who say it's not well-maintained, I say you're talking because you have to talk nonsense, the stove... the carbon monoxide is already in your brain. Laura, a very sweet person who instills calm and sweetness, and Giuseppe, very nice, the mirror of happiness. In short, my family and I had a wonderful time, we will definitely return.

04/07/2026: The pasta with olives and tuna was awful, full of sauce and cheap oil. But they managed to do worse with the ice cream: the pistachio tastes absolutely nothing, and the Lotus, peanut, and cheesecake tastes 90% cream, with that bitter aftertaste they should taste like.

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.
09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive!
We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.
