06/07/2026: This restaurant is mainly frequented by locals, the food is excellent, with fantastic pizzas and very friendly and helpful staff.
For weekends, it's advisable to book ahead as Italian families go out in large numbers and the restaurant was fully booked.
The only slight downside is the noise. We went on a Saturday night and the place was extremely noisy with children running around and shouting. It's often like that in Italy, you just have to be prepared. 😜

09/08/2026: An unexpected, typically Sicilian return
A very comfortable beach, with deckchairs and sun loungers at a very reasonable price. Compared to other beaches, this one struck us for its authenticity.
It has showers and a simple, traditional restaurant.
Mrs. Carmelina welcomed us with a smile and kindness.
Crystal-clear water and a peaceful atmosphere.
We also ate very well and will definitely return. I recommend it!!
21/07/2026: We arrived from Hotel Bel Soggiornó by transfer. The price of 18E/person includes a sunbed and umbrella as well as the round-trip transfer. The beach has a beautiful view of the open sea. This is a quieter, calmer and less crowded stretch of beach. There is also a shower, which you don't have to pay extra for. The restaurant has very delicious pasta and fish dishes, salads at a reasonable price, between 10-20 Euros. Panini is 6 Euros. Espresso is 1 Euro! I couldn't believe it! The service is courteous and polite, fast. We remember the time spent here with fondness!

09/08/2026: We ordered two pizzas, a roasted squid, a dessert, and two coffees. The pizzas were truly excellent, but it's a shame the same can't be said for the squid, which had the top skin and parts of the inner bone left on; it was also particularly chewy. The dessert was a commercial tiramisu, which I imagine must have been frozen beforehand, since it was partly warm and partly still frozen when served. It's a shame because the pizzas were truly excellent, and the staff was also very friendly.
08/08/2026: The waiter informed us that the kitchen would be opening in 20 minutes, and we waited. It started in 45 minutes! So, practically Italian! :) The toto arosto was nicely served. Unfortunately, the grilled squid was bitter, meaning it hadn't been cleaned properly. I didn't eat it, and the staff didn't do anything about it, despite my warning. The carpaccio di pesce spada was good, but presented carelessly. The olive oil, not Sicilian but Develey, was served in disposable sachets, in Sicily! Shame on you, gentlemen.

09/08/2026: We spent a few days in Palermo, and this restaurant was a real find. The service was exquisite; I think one of the staff members was the owner. It's located in the city center, in a very rustic setting, and the food is a fusion of Greek and Sicilian cuisine.
We loved the flavors and freshness of the food. I'll definitely be back on my next trip.
23/07/2026: Great place - if you are looking for something local, and need a break from Italian food. The restaurant is small, but cosy, the owner greeted us and guided us through the menu but also the options of the day. She gave me a fan to fight the heatwave and explained the story about the place. The food was good and tasty, you will find Greek classics like souvlaki, tzatziki, eggplant meatballs, moussaka etc.. the watermelon salad was superb. Would definitely recommend.

11/06/2026: We hadn't been to this place for a while, and in the past we'd eaten really well, but now it was a bit disappointing, starting with the house appetizer. Before, we were spoiled for choice, but now we found very little to choose from, and most of it was from the previous day's cooking, and it was only 8:00 PM and there were only 6 people seated. The horse meatballs tasted good but were very dry, the one with Philadelphia had a really bad taste, as if it had been kneaded for days, and the sausage was completely raw. The only good thing was the fillet, but we paid quite a bit for just 4 small slices: €55.
03/06/2026: A place where you could fill up with such a wide variety of appetizers, the first courses are plentiful, and the grilled food—I dare say, out of this world—is something you can clearly feel when you're 40 years old in front of the grill. The price is undoubtedly affordable, a moral endorsement for the taste and price. Try it and believe it.

The prices are more than reasonable, the service is impeccable, and the cuisine is incredible without compromising what we love about Italian food. They don't cut corners here, and you'll find tomatoes (of the highest quality!), fennel, anchovies, and pistachios on your plate, whether it's in the appetizers, main courses, or desserts. Wine lovers are certainly not forgotten either.
A wonderful time in a beautiful setting with wonderful people!

20/06/2026: We had a lovely evening meal with great service and a beautiful roof top views.
We booked that morning at the reception downstairs and were welcomed by the very professional concierge and maitre D.
After some complimentary amouse bouche our meals were lovely and well prepared.
The Maitre D, Sergio was in point. Polite and efficient and helpful.
We finished with a local cheese board and some excellent Sicilian wines.

21/07/2026: Torre Alta was, without a doubt, the best restaurant of our entire vacation in Italy. We ate at many wonderful places in Rome, Venice, and Palermo, but honestly, no one even came close.
From the incredible quality of the food to the beautiful atmosphere and outstanding service, everything was absolutely perfect. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and made with true passion.
Torre Alta gave us more than just a great meal it gave us one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. This restaurant is truly special, and we cannot recommend it enough. If you are in the area, do not miss it!
Simply the best. Five stars are not enough!
20/07/2026: A welcoming place, with a simple atmosphere and a refined yet friendly approach... you immediately feel at ease. The owner's helpfulness in explaining the menu and the dishes' characteristics is admirable and demonstrates expertise and great professionalism. You're immediately able to choose what to eat. The skill of the chefs does the rest. The wine list is extensive, as are the beers, liqueurs, and other spirits. The wait staff is always smiling and ready to satisfy your needs.
