22/03/2025: The chicken is delicious and comes apart gently, the chips are the only ones not soaked in oil like in many other places. And not expensive. Indeed, less than others. Try other places before speaking and then see what a difference! And the tradition that has lasted for 50 years!

28/05/2025: We were tourists….and we really lucked out on this restaurant. We don’t like going to the tourist traps. This is a gem! I would recommend the pistachio pesto pasta! Amazing! The panelle palermitane, and the mini Sicilian Fritte were to die for….and in our second visit we ordered the Tuna tataki ….and again simply amazing! Definitely a must if you are in Catania

26/05/2025: Reading the menu you get the impression of high ambitions, unfortunately the kitchen can’t quite deliver on those ambitions. The food is almost there but needs that last bit of QC that only a great chef can deliver. I think that the restaurant would do itself a favour if it reduced the menu to 1/3 of the dishes and focused hard on getting those right. The service is impeccable and the wine list is fairly priced. All in all an ok experience but there is room for improvements.

16/11/2024: Palermo aveva bisogno del ritorno “a casa” del Charleston, nel cuore del centro città dove i ristoranti di questo livello si contano sulle dita di una mano. La nuova sede dell’ex bar Mazzara è elegantissima e la cucina è straordinaria, frutto degli studi dello chef Verde che si percepiscono in ogni piatto. Continuando così è certo che arriveranno tantissimi riconoscimenti. Ma la cosa più gradita del nuovo Charleston è l’incredibile clima, una coccola per il cliente: si respira davvero l’affiatamento tra tutti i componenti dello staff e da un ambiente del genere non possono che nascere cose altrettanto belle.

22/05/2025: The place is very special. We felt at home. We went for dinner with a group of friends and were treated like royalty. The food is wonderful, the people are extremely charismatic and attentive. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back soon and highly recommend it.

16/05/2025: Dinner was simply fabulous. Service was top and the dishes were superb! I can highly recommend this restaurant.It's located a bit outside the busy center, so very quiet and relaxing to have dinner outside on the terrace.

12/05/2025: The waiter should seriously consider calming down his mood. We don't go to a restaurant to get yelled at just because we sat at a table without waiting to be seated, and we immediately apologized when we realized that the restaurant didn't work like that. There was really no point in complaining about us and waving loudly.

06/05/2025: I think it's the best restaurant in Sicily and the restaurant of my life. The Trapanese couscous served with fish broth and the marinated prawn fish soup were so delicious that I went there twice. There are many wine pairings and the staff is very friendly. I think I will miss you a lot.

28/04/2025: Had dinner at this place, questionable experience. Poor couscous, fish seen through binoculars and drinks prices in my opinion excessive (13 euros for a half bottle of wine seems really a lot to me...) I wouldn't repeat the experience.

29/04/2025: Unpretentious pizzeria that masters fermentation techniques to make airy and tasty pizzas. The cold meats and cheese are more than correctly matured, there is all the tradition and taste of Sicily. Some slight defects such as slightly burnt pastry while the dessert seemed below the rest and was not a necessity.

13/10/2024: I was in this place on Saturday evening, you immediately noticed the dated interior furnishings, the bathrooms were also clean and above all with toilets for disabled people, everything was a bit old.. On the other hand, the dinner was good, the hot appetizer although small in quantity was good, the pizza was delicious and seasoned. Excellent service, very attentive to customer needs. Average prices.

21/05/2025: Beautiful view of the sea, always very busy, service sometimes a bit overwhelmed but otherwise ok.

17/05/2025: Beautiful small beach, not too busy, not as many beds as other beach clubs but we got there around 10:30 and didn’t have a problem getting a bed. You can rent towels for a fee. The food and service were great.

17/10/2024: Ho scoperto questo ristorante grazie alla segnalazione di un mio collega. Io e mia moglie abbiamo passato una splendida cena in un locale accogliente con una bella atmosfera. Abbiamo cenato con un menù degustazione incentrato su una cucina del territorio che strizza l'occhio alla contemporaneità. Se passate dalle parti di Caltabellotta non perdetevi questa perla!

07/10/2024: Our resort recommended lunch here for an authentic Italian meal and boy did they deliver! We had wine and the tasting menu. The starters and pasta were amazing. The meat was good. Cannolis were delish. We also had the best service of our 2 weeks in Italy. Decor is adorable as well. It used to be an olive oil factory and they have some old machinery displayed. We even bought some olive oil to bring home as that was tasty as well. You must go here if in the area. We were staying in Sciacca and it was worth the drive.

21/05/2025: I went to eat at the sole, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, kindness and courtesy Piero is an exquisite person, quality/price more than good, I recommend anyone with a good palate to go there, you will be 100% satisfied thanks to all the staff

17/05/2025: Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente, considerando la qualità degli ingredienti e l’attenzione ai dettagli in ogni piatto. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque desideri vivere un’esperienza gastronomica di alto livello. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci!

27/05/2025: Very atmospheric place with delicious pizza. The selection is big enough to satisfy everyone. Pizza in typical Sicilian style. There is a queue in the evening, but the service goes quite quickly. I recommend it!

21/05/2025: Believe it or not. This was a former bordello established by Musselini. After the war, it was converted to a restaurant that is still run by the Calvino family since 1946. Everything in Sicily has a story. The pizza is famous far and wide. A must try!
