29/12/2025: ENCHANTED EXPERIENCE Etna Palace was a delightful discovery, truly splendid. The location, with its park, outdoor spaces, large fountain, and covered and uncovered verandas, is truly delightful. The interiors are well-kept and very welcoming, as is the staff: Maria Rita and Angela, as well as their brothers in the dining room and kitchen, were excellent hosts. I had the Christmas lunch, which was excellent, from the entrée with a welcome cocktail through to all the other courses. The fried cocktails were delicious, as were the hot and cold appetizers we received (anything but ordinary in their combinations, with a simple yet impeccable potato basket with Russian salad!). The two first courses were exquisite (and I had seconds of both): both the fresh pasta with a delicious Sorrento-style tomato sauce and the asparagus and speck risotto were superbly cooked, textured, flavorful, and savory (and risotto is notoriously difficult!). The second course (a thin rib-eye steak with mushrooms and an exceptional roux: I had seconds of both), accompanied by a baked potato, a treasure trove of delicious broccoli and prosciutto filling, was truly delicious. I would have loved to have had seconds of the desserts, especially the cream puffs, but I managed to restrain myself. The non-alcoholic drink to start, the Montepulciano served at the perfect temperature for eating, and finally the sparkling wine at the end were perfect pairings for the various courses. Add to that the quality-price ratio was absolutely in favor of the quality (elsewhere, at least, the price would have been about twenty euros more!), and I can only recommend going, and returning!

08/03/2026: The staff were incredibly unfriendly. They served us one dish and then fifteen minutes later, my husband's dish arrived. They're clearly overwhelmed, and the staff is very unpleasant, especially the young man who served us. They make no effort to understand us. They only gave us forks for eating meat. We had to wait another ten minutes to get a knife. We received extremely poor service from the staff.

16/02/2026: A very average experience. While the pizza was decent, the Aglio Olio pasta was a disaster. It was completely flavorless and lacked spice.

13/02/2026: Having had the experience at the Cyclope, which we didn't know was under the same management, we were looking for a place to eat well. I must say the food was decent, but the tiramisu was terrible, so much so that we vomited all night. I remind you of one fundamental thing: a second course must be served strictly cut on a flat plate. Perhaps because there was a group and they didn't have plates, it was served on a very deep plate. It was poorly cooked, a shame.

10/03/2026: The restaurant has two rooms, and as tourists, we were the only ones seated in the area facing the street. The pasta was fine, but I wouldn't return for it. The service was excellent. We didn't try the fish dishes.

12/02/2026: A really nice restaurant, very clean, and the service is quick and helpful. There was one minor drawback, though: we would have liked a wine cooler to go with the bottle of white wine. The pizzas were delicious and generously topped. Afterwards, the owner even joined us for a pleasant chat. We highly recommend La Piazzetta.

The owner and all the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. A place where you can experience true Sicilian hospitality. Highly recommended.

03/02/2026: Culinary excellence in Ortigia. The menu is absolutely top-notch, with a selection of fine dishes and wines. The location is original, vintage, elegant, and above all welcoming.

18/01/2026: The sea view while eating is something special in itself. And the pizza (also available for takeaway) is one of the best here in Marina di Ragusa. But the "Baked Mussels in Pizza Dough" with spaghetti for the sauce is perfect if you're really hungry. We come here almost every week and highly recommend it.

14/02/2026: On our road trip through Sicily we spent a day in Palermo and wanted an authentic dinner spot in the evening. We found La Staffa and it was honestly perfekt. We came in a great season with good weather, warm but not too hot like peak summer, and the city wasnt overloaded with tourists (even if we are tourists too). La Staffa feels like a real family restaurant. The food was super tasty and the team was very friendly. They chatted with us a bit but also gave us space to enjoy our dinner, which I really liked. The chef has worked abroad before and now is back home, you can feel the passion. And the limoncello... wow, really a dream. I would come back for sure.

07/02/2026: We arrived at our hotel quite late at night and were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat. Luckily, this lovely restaurant nearby stayed open for us until almost 1 a.m. 🌙 and even prepared special pizzas for takeaway 🍕✨ We were so touched by their kindness and willingness to accommodate us so late in the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming 💛 Their positive energy and warmth immediately made us feel comfortable and cared for. The pizzas were absolutely incredible — truly some of the best we’ve ever had 🤩👌 We were so impressed that we later came back to dine at the restaurant, and once again everything was perfect. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the service were outstanding 🌟 No one has ever taken such good care of us before. They truly made our trip to Sicily unforgettable 🇮🇹❤️ We are so grateful for their warmth and hospitality — it was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. 24/01/2026: My boyfriend had BBQ ribs, and I chose tagliatelle with a cheese sauce and pepper. The food was absolutely delicious 👌🏻 For drinks, we had an Aperol Spritz, which wasn’t on the menu, but the staff prepare it for us. There is a beautiful view of the sea and a nearby lighthouse from the restaurant. Overall, the experience was great, and the service was excellent as well. 😊🙏🏻

21/12/2025: 2 stars that could have been 5. It's a restaurant that strives for quality. You can see it in the menu, the dishes, the cooking style, the service (attentive and professional), and even the ambiance, but... It's NOT possible to attract a certain type of clientele and simultaneously have an 18th dinner with blasting music! You ruin everything you're trying to build with your restaurant and those waiters so suited to that kind of restaurant! The ambiance often makes up 50% of the restaurant's value and represents 50% of the chances that the customer will return. Now, let's pretend I've been to this restaurant before, enjoyed it, and consider it suitable for an important business dinner for... 6 people. "I'll take you to a nice place in Augusta." I book.... And find the 18th dinner playing loudly all evening???? But no way. Too bad. I would have talked about the food; that would have been a good review.... That's not how it's done.
