The atmosphere blended casual and upscale in the best way, and the service was excellent — warm and attentive — with a small but well-curated menu. We ordered the house-made ricotta ravioli with a buttery, creamy pistachio and almond Parmesan pesto, and it was outstanding — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed the pasta with clams, the true treasure of the sea — unforgettable in every way. Overall, a memorable dining experience and absolutely worth a return visit. Saluti

15/12/2025: Reservation for pizza with colleagues. The place is very nice, even more so in the summer with a lovely outdoor area. The pizzas are very good, with a wide variety. Excellent service. Good price.

They immediately complimented me on the restaurant—beautiful, welcoming, and elegant—and then they were thrilled with the pizzas and desserts, and with Gianluca's hospitality, always available and smiling. 11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

08/12/2025: I'll start by saying that there's nothing to say about the quality of the products, of course, but if you raise the prices and decrease the quantities, little by little the customers who have always preferred you for years (like us) will change destination. It's normal for those who come from out of town and are just passing through not to know the first place and therefore it seems normal to pay a lot and the dishes seem endless. But those who are used to coming specifically and know the place, comparing today to last year, can say that everything has changed. However, since now everything is projected towards self-interest and they don't take into account that there are customers who travel miles and there is no minimum consideration, it's better to change because always the same old soup paid triple the price becomes indigestible in the long run. It was nice while it lasted, but it's better not to come back because fortunately there are even better places. We are all useful and no one is indispensable, so greetings and kisses 😘😘

30/11/2025: We had an extraordinary time at Casale Drinzi in Collesano. We stayed for about three hours and enjoyed every minute - the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely exquisite—beautifully presented, made with high-quality local ingredients, just incredibly delicious. Every dish was served properly and with care. Prices were definitely reasonable for the quality offered. The restaurant is located a tad outside Collesano and is very easy to reach, only a short drive up from Cefalù. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.

23/08/2025: We went to this place for dinner and had a really good time. Everything we ordered was delicious, with generous portions. The woman who served us was very attentive and professional. The price was more than fair. A truly excellent place.

22/10/2025: We were disappointed. The portions were small. One of the pasta dishes was not really cooked. We had to pay 3 Euro coperto per person, also for the children. The fish and seafood were very fresh. The service were friendly but could not guide us to a good wine in english. The location of this restaurant is of course very good, right in the city centre.

28/11/2025: Very good restaurant, very friendly service and not expensive. Does not feel touristy but very original. I think we were the only for foreign guests that day. This is where you should do your lunch break when travelling on A19 Palermo-Catania!

20/10/2025: The food is absolutely delicious, the best that we had in Sicily. Waiters are very helpful, polite. We are traveling with 20 month old toddler, the stuff helped us to arrange the food for the kid. Pizzas are outstanding, second dishes very very tasty. The waiter Joseppe was absolutely the best, very friendly, polite, and helpful!

13/11/2025: We have followed the recommandation of the guide book once again and it was very nice. We had these delicious typical flat sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. A very good place to go for lunch!
