25/08/2026: We discovered this "restaurant" because we were attracted by the numerous signs saying "Porceddu" in all languages. Unfortunately, once we stopped, we discovered that the porceddu is by reservation only. Ample parking. The location is quite familiar. It's a butcher shop with a veranda and a few plastic tables, extremely informal. We decided to stop for something to eat anyway, as we had just disembarked from the ferry. We ordered a "mixed" grill with fries and salad. (There was nothing else to choose from.) We waited almost 60 minutes... the mixed grill only featured three different cuts. The meat was extremely marinated and made on site (they say). Myrtle offered on the house to apologize for the delay. The bill was €50 for a mixed grill and two salads/fries. Considering there's no menu, it's clearly a place to snare a few tourists who aren't Sardinian.

05/08/2026: We booked a table for four, and unfortunately, because I hadn't expressed myself well on the phone, there wasn't any porceddu available for dinner. However, the chef (Mister Michele), very helpful and kind, prepared half a piglet for us anyway (it was 10 PM). Furthermore, to entertain us while we waited for the piglet, he prepared some delicious meat and chicken skewers, complete with fries and carasau bread, of course. The porceddu was delicious, and so was the pork, accompanied by fries, salad, and carasau bread. Since it was a friend's birthday, the staff was willing to hold the cake for us and wait until midnight with us, a pleasant reminder of this birthday spent in the company of Mister Michele and Caterina (his right-hand man). We'll definitely be back.

12/07/2026: We came to this restaurant as tourists because it was described as authentic and had excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We ordered appetizers (shrimp) and carbonara for the main course. The food arrived after about an hour, and despite the wait, half of our order was still missing. Furthermore, the appetizers were served with the main courses. Only after we pointed out the mistake did they begin preparing the three missing dishes. Even then, the service was confusing: they brought other appetizers along with the main courses, and one of the three carbonaras we ordered arrived much later. In total, we were at the restaurant for about two hours for a meal that should have been much simpler. When it finally arrived, the carbonara was also undercooked. No member of the staff spoke English, and while we understand that we are in Italy, we would have appreciated at least a minimal effort to communicate or a more friendly attitude. In the end, we spent about €200 for four people, and the experience did not live up to the price or expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

12/07/2026: They speak only Italian. Waiting for 30 mins for the order and more than one hour for the food. They served only the half of the ordered food, in addition main course first. We had to wait more 30 mins for the appetizer and side dish. That was crazy. Sardinia is a beautiful place and we enjoyed it fully. We did not miss this bad experience on our last night. Not recommended for tourists at all.

18/08/2026: The food was a big disappointment, the prices did not match the quality, the penne pasta did not taste at all, it resembled a semi-finished product...the service fee at the table where you slowly lean your back against another guest at another table...for such service and below average food it is impudence. I definitely do not recommend.

18/08/2026: We ordered mussel soup, which arrived half an hour later, and fried calamari an hour later, without even clearing our dirty plates. We asked for bread three times, but it arrived after the soup was finished. I'd say they should have at least had the decency to deduct 10% of the service charge from the bill. The waiters were inexperienced.

08/06/2026: We only went to the Skybar. It's highly recommended. The drinks are great, the service is very friendly, and the view is amazing. Small snacks are included with drinks. Tips cannot be added to the bill by card.

07/06/2026: The owner is very kind and the food is good, both meat and fish. Location facing the sea.

21/04/2026: Ten minutes passed between the fish of the day (€25 for sea bream with no sides and not cooked at all) and the pizza (far too salty, I couldn't finish it...). A long wait, very inefficient service.

21/04/2026: Nowhere in all of Italy do you pay 16 euros for kids' penne with tomato sauce. Certainly not in a restaurant without electricity where you have to use a flashlight to go to the toilet.

21/08/2026: Horrible service, they looked like air. It's a shame for the restaurant, we didn't go more often because of these unfortunate people.

07/08/2026: We had a truly delicious pizza! The best in ages. The host was very friendly. The kitchen was supposed to open at 7:30 PM, but we arrived an hour earlier and said we wanted to eat pizza. The host arranged for us to get a pizza at 7:00 PM! Top-notch service and delicious pizzas. Highly recommended!

02/10/2025: The restaurant presents itself with great ambitions, but the reality failed to live up to expectations, due to a completely unsustainable quality-price ratio. The cuisine, rather than surprising, left an impression of small-scale and lackluster character, with offerings that are unjustified by such an ambitious menu. The service, courteous and attentive, remains the best aspect, even if not impeccable. In the end, one is left with the feeling of having paid for the idea rather than the substance.

14/07/2026: Kindness is not the norm in this bar. The service is unfriendly, with cold and aloof waitresses, no smiles, just expressions of annoyance and irritation at the presence of their paymaster. The gentleman at the cash register doesn't even acknowledge your payment, and neither does the lady. Avoid this place. Sassari is full of bars where you're treated with kindness and courtesy.

08/07/2026: I'd like to give the waitress some advice. Change jobs, put her off even going to the bar. She's rude, arrogant, and haughty.

09/08/2026: Terrible experience, table set in the dark, spaghetti allo scoglio inedible, long wait, and service never arrived... We called the owner who never arrived at that point and we were told that we could leave without paying.

25/07/2026: A dream restaurant with a breathtaking view of the sea. We were welcomed by the owner with the highest levels of kindness, courtesy, professionalism, and politeness. The cuisine is top-notch, from the delicious pizza to the more elaborate first and second courses of the freshest fish and meat, all accompanied by exceptional side dishes and desserts. The wine was excellent. Every bite was a delight. I've never eaten so well in a restaurant (I frequent many restaurants, but L'Ostrica stands out above all others). Excellent value for money; in fact, considering the quality of the dishes and the speed of service, the prices are actually too low. We had a wonderful time and, above all, we ate not just well, but very well. Extremely satisfied. Highly recommended. We will be back to eat at L'Ostrica as soon as possible.

24/11/2025: Food was average, service dreadful and atmosphere was agonizing. Would recommend avoiding these tourist traps with fancy doors.

16/08/2026: The food is pretty bad and expensive and it's such a shame,because the area is great and it could be something really good. I've had some carbonara pasta, which in Italy is something basic,but it was really greasy.

13/08/2026: I absolutely do not recommend going here, the food is terrible, the service is terrible, there is no atmosphere whatsoever, and under no circumstances should you order the carbonara.
