17/04/2025: The place is very nice, spacious and the staff is very friendly. The quality of the food did not seem excellent to me, starting from the decidedly tasteless marinated tuna, up to the swordfish carpaccio, soaked in vinegar to excess. I didn't mind the pizza by the slice.

28/01/2025: What a fab place. We came and celebrated our 28th Wedding Anniversary here, walking in the dark from Salve, past the cemetery twice to a little oasis where they cook what they grow. Set menu of two offerings per course, with wine and water included for €25 per head. Lovely hostess Fabiana and her Freddie Mercury waiter (his words), cozy atmosphere in a small room with a fire keeping us all toasty and welcoming Italians who allowed a couple of English folks to enjoy a perfect evening. We shall be back and maybe we’ll get our photo on the wall 🤨

03/06/2025: Su indicazione di un amico del posto Abbiamo deciso di cenare in questo agriturismo. Sebbene il locale non ci abbia entusiasmato molto, la qualità delle portate è stata davvero ottima. Molto buono il polipo su crema di fave e altrettanto buona la seppia arrostita sul letto di piselli. Anche i primi ci sono piaciuti molto, sia quello di terra, le sagne con le polpettine di carne, e quello di pesce. Consigliatissimo.

17/05/2025: I only went for lunch and had the worst experience I've had in years of traveling. We arrived around closing time and were greeted very kindly. They offered us water, and after that, they brought us a cart with different fish and lobster dishes. The waiter explained all the ways each dish could be prepared and what he suggested: a first course with pasta and some fish, and a second course with another fish. He was very kind, and we didn't speak Italian, and he didn't speak English, so we more or less understood each other, and that's what he brought us. He never offered us the menu or explained the price of what we were ordering. When the bill arrived, it turned out the price per kilo of fish was 85 euros! And the total given by weight was 135 euros. A rip-off. We would never have spent that amount if we had known. We were naive; we trusted in the kindness. Why didn't they give us an option? A lunch on the way ended up costing us 185 euros in total. I do not recommend this place not because of the cuisine, which was ok, but because of the mistreatment of unsuspecting tourists. My suite, in particular, was a true sanctuary of luxury, culminating in the splendid indoor heated pool that transformed every moment into an oasis of relaxation and well-being. Imagine immersing yourself in warm waters with the sea breeze caressing your skin... a true dream! But what made this stay even more special was the exceptional welcome and professionalism of Ms. Germana and the entire staff. Each member of the team, with a sincere smile and impeccable dedication, went out of their way to anticipate our every need, making us feel not just like simple guests, but like true friends. Their attention to detail, kindness and helpfulness were simply admirable and added an inestimable value to the entire experience. It is rare to find a property of such prestige that manages to combine stunning luxury with such a warm and familiar atmosphere. Masseria Dei Monaci is not just a place to stay, but a complete sensory experience that regenerates body and spirit. A heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Germana and all the staff for making this weekend a precious memory. I can't wait to return to this corner of paradise!

09/05/2025: my comments are in the details below, I really liked the place but what really bothered me was the reception at 12:30 p.m. when we arrived only to leave the luggage, we knew very well that the room was available only from 3 p.m., twice in a row we were told (on the intercom and in person that the room will not be ready until 3 p.m.), the tone was neither friendly and even less hospitable. Likewise, the way a person at the reception shouted behind a customer on the patio that pool towels should not leave the establishment, this was absolutely not pleasant to hear. on the other hand, your establishment is magnificent, it is not worth everything, in my personal opinion THANKS

04/05/2025: We had lunch in this really well-managed farmhouse, it is family-run, everything is excellent from the raw materials to the management of the service, even in terms of prices they are in line with the mix of harmony that dominates the structure, we will return to Gallipoli just to eat at their place again!

13/04/2025: Prodotti a km 0 cucinati con cura, ampi spazi, pulizia, cordialità… cosa volere di più?? Abbiamo organizzato in questo locale un pranzo di famiglia (50 persone) per il quale è stato costruito un menu su misura, servito in una sala splendida con affaccio sul giardino e l’area giochi per i bambini, attrezzata e sicura. Un grazie speciale al proprietario, che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa.

16/04/2025: Lunch on Sunday 13 April for 4 people, only the very good wine was saved, the starters were scarce, mostly mini bruschettas to be divided into 2 then 2 first courses and 2 second courses which were not of good quality, in other places there is better and the place leaves something to be desired and I will stop here

10/06/2025: Il 25 maggio 2025 abbiamo scelto il ristorante *Malcandrino* per festeggiare un’occasione speciale: la Cresima di nostro figlio. Ci era stato consigliato, e possiamo dire di aver fatto una scelta davvero perfetta. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente accogliente, curato nei minimi dettagli, con un servizio professionale e attento. Il cibo è stato ottimo, ricco di sapori autentici e presentato con grande cura. Non possiamo non ringraziare in modo particolare il responsabile, Andrea, che si è dimostrato disponibile e comprensivo: a causa di un imprevisto di viaggio, alcuni ospiti hanno tardato ad arrivare, e nonostante gli impegni serali del locale, ha gestito il tutto con grande eleganza e senza farci sentire in alcun modo sotto pressione. Un posto speciale, che merita davvero di essere conosciuto e apprezzato. Grazie di cuore per aver contribuito a rendere questa giornata indimenticabile!
