06/08/2025: Literally one of the best restaurants in Puglia and I’ve been coming here for many years. It’s the classic example of a true hidden gem. The owner/chef is a charming entrepreneur whose restaurant is clearly a passion project which he has worked from the ground up. Inventive dishes with powerful local ingredients - spaghetti all’assassina is amazing as well as the antipasti chosen by the chef. Great wine list - loved the sussumaniello red. Generous with extras and digestivi. Even the grandma was there to welcome us and offer her limoncello. Great fun; plus supporting local self-made restauranteur.

The appetizers were varied and delicious, with dishes that tasted of tradition but were clearly enriched by careful research. The first course was also delicious, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. The truffle was not only noticeable but also visible in abundance, which is anything but a given these days. All for a more than fair price. Last but not least, the quality of the service: the waiters were more than attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

25/08/2025: The Gallo Nero restaurant really surprised me. It's located near the beaches. The quality/price ratio is excellent. I had the opportunity to eat there twice during my stay in Monopoli and I noticed that this restaurant has fair prices, unlike the high prices of most restaurants here. They offer traditional dishes and more! The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The speed of the service is perfect; you don't have to wait hours and enjoy your dinner. The restaurant is also well-maintained, tidy, clean, accessible, quiet, and very romantic. I will recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting Monopoli!

28/08/2025: The King's Puccia is delicious, as is their beer (Baladin). They also have a wide selection of Puccias, and you can create various combinations to suit all tastes and needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous.
