24/04/2026: Friendly, helpful, and polite staff. Quiet atmosphere with pleasant soft music. Very good food, really good, but prices are higher than average. The fish-based first courses range from €20 to €25 (since I travel a lot, it seems a bit excessive, after all, we're in a small southern town). Most desserts are €10 (again, a bit excessive for a family of four; €40 for dessert alone seems too much). If they lowered the first and dessert prices a few euros, I think people would come back more often. I'd be the first to say more. Obviously, I'll give my opinion. The chef is very skilled, knowledgeable, and kind.

06/04/2026: The food is all very good. In the "city of bread," it's a paradox that bread isn't included in the cover charge, but is served separately, as an item on the menu. I understand not wanting to waste, I understand wanting to stand out, and I also understand the added value they want to provide through the price, but it's not a choice that promotes hospitality and customer service. Even in Michelin-starred restaurants, bread is served and refilled at no additional cost, and I'd say without skimping on quality. It's a shame. Furthermore, the savory Colomba cake was served without a drink, while at other tables it was also served. In short, the idea is there; the service and the experience need to be refined.

Every dish was delicious, from the appetizers to the main course with gluten-free options, not to mention the meat that melted in your mouth! Everything was grilled right in front of us. 26/04/2026: Terrible experience: lack of organization and poor service ​The restaurant is structurally pleasing, with a wooden mezzanine housing an additional dining room, but the atmosphere is ruined by excessive and unwelcoming lighting. Unfortunately, aesthetics are the only positive aspect. The staff proved unprofessional, welcoming us with condescension and obvious disinterest. ​The real disaster was the organization: despite having agreed on the menu for a birthday party days in advance, the owner forgot every detail of the agreement. After an exhausting hour and a half wait, drastically reduced portions were served in a haphazard manner. The appetizers were mediocre and flavorless (vegetables in oil, corn, and low-quality cured meats), while the pizzas were rubbery and undercooked. ​We made a terrible impression on our guests due to a completely improvised management. The only successful moment was the cake cutting, which was only because we ordered it from outside. A venue can't afford to neglect its customers like this just because it's counting on a full house thanks to its low prices.

11/05/2026: Sale e Pepe Restaurant is one of those quiet restaurants where service is warm and friendly; it's definitely a good choice for those seeking a quiet meal. The menu balances traditional and innovative, offering traditional dishes adapted to the concept of a fine-dining restaurant. The restaurant also offers a daily menu (with two dishes) to offer regulars a bit of novelty and variety. The service is meticulously maintained by the waiters, especially the Maître d', who resolves any issues with extreme professionalism and speed.

09/05/2026: I had an appetizer of 6 mozzarella balls with eggplant and shrimp tartare: microscopic, frozen mozzarella balls, no discernible flavor. The first course was bavette with mullet bottarga: the pasta was very good, but the sauce was undetectable. The dessert was: cream puffs with dark chocolate ganache; on the plate, a ball of shortcrust pastry covered in icing... this too was tasteless. In short, a pretentious, expensive place, with food far below the price and expectations!

21/05/2026: I didn't like the panzerotti because they're small and the dough is thin, but they're easy to digest because they're not greasy. The panzerotti's seasoning isn't noticeable because the cured meats (e.g., salami and mortadella) are diced (except for the panzerotto with capocollo). Prices are reasonable (a panzerotto averages €3-4), except for the panzerotto with capocollo and stracciatella. The latter, ONLY because it was filled cold and served open, costs €8 (basically the same as a pizza). Service is poor because you can't afford to pay a €3 cover charge for: 1) the table is so close to the others that you can't move (we were in the outdoor dining area); 2) paper placemats like the ones in the cafeteria and napkin holders like the ones at the bar downstairs; 3) A waiter (a very young man who perhaps didn't want to work) first asked us what we'd ordered (is that our business?), then took away our dirty plates and cutlery but didn't give us clean cutlery for the other courses. Generally, the waiters were helpful but unsmiling. I usually check reviews and prices before choosing a place, but unfortunately this time I mistakenly followed other people's advice.
