13/06/2025: The cooking is still done by hand and with a lot of imagination. The prices are fair and absolutely reasonable. I had tortelloni filled with pumpkin and amatetto filling. My wife had catfish dumplings with polenta. The starter, a perch fillet with dried zucchini, was free... Also free were the faces of the Teutons who expected something different on their plates.

29/06/2025: Unfortunately, a cloud of dust hung over the mountains the entire day, so the mountains couldn't show off their beautiful beauty. The hotel is a lovingly run family business. Rekardo, who spoke good German, helped us a lot, e.g., (helped us jump-start our motorcycle), explained things, and gave us tips. A great hotel team. Thank you for the lovely, full breakfast.

29/06/2025: Very friendly manager and staff. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the money. Our corner room had a somewhat small bathroom with a bathtub. Everything seemed newly renovated, and we had a small balcony with a lake view. Right on the street. Unfortunately, the street noise was a bit loud at peak times. But nothing that wouldn't stop us from booking again. Very animal-friendly. Our small dog was very welcome, even on the pebble beach. Water shoes are recommended. Sunbeds with umbrellas and towels were free. The town of Stresa was about 3 km away. Easily accessible on foot along the road. Not advisable due to the narrow streets. We recommend this small, friendly hotel. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Several German TV channels and free Wi-Fi (only available in the hotel)

24/06/2025: We celebrated our wedding in this wonderful place on Lake Orta, and we can only say beautiful words about that perfect day. Enchanting and suggestive place, impeccable service, superlative food. There was not a detail that was not taken care of to perfection. We thank Il Giardinetto infinitely for making our wedding unique, and we recommend it wholeheartedly. I would add that we have attended it on other occasions, both for our son's baptism, and for dinner and aperitif and we can only confirm the same satisfaction every time. 23/08/2025: Wonderful experience! The staff is welcoming and makes sure their customers are satisfied. The food is wonderfully well presented and delicious! A special thank you to the chef who came out of his kitchen to explain each of his dishes to us in French! A must try!

03/08/2025: Very nice restaurant. Although it may seem expensive, the quality of food is very high! The veal and mashed potatoes were incredible!

26/08/2025: The place isn't very big, so reservations are definitely recommended, but it's very nice, and it also has a welcoming outdoor area, which was perfect when we were there in mid-August.

14/08/2025: Supermarket meat, sliced with arugula, arrived without arugula (it was out...), overcooked (even though I'd asked for it rare). Side of cold baked potatoes. Interminable wait. I don't recommend it.

17/08/2025: The room wasn't very clean, with no air conditioning. Access was a steep process. The person who checked us in was very cold and inattentive. Checking out was absurd, leaving the key in the locker, considering the neighbors (a tenement building) are quite shady.

11/08/2025: I can't comment on the room, only on the food. I went to eat, I liked everything, I didn't find any pasta, which was the reason for my visit.

12/07/2025: Basic room but spotlessly clean, with a super comfortable double bed and pillows for a great night’s sleep — all you need after a long day of trekking. The half-board option is incredibly generous: a hearty yummy dinner with three courses of your choice from several options — and they often offer seconds without even being asked! Breakfast is all you can eat, varied and high quality. All of this for only €75 — a price that’s nearly impossible to find in Italy for the quality and service you get. Definitely an amazing place you’ll want to come back to. Thank you.

05/07/2025: This albergo was an unforgettable, even cinematic experience. We arrived from our GTA tour and entered into what for us was an eccentric, somewhat chaotic, but ultimately heartfelt, sincere and intense world. A group of 50 italian hikers were staying there too, feasting, making speeches, laughing, holding a banquet of dionysian proportions, for which the owner of the Albergo was responsible, and for which she received loud applause. She, a sovereign, brusque, but warm and genuine woman, works day and night and manages a motley troupe of young international workers. The food was of excellent quality, plentiful, surprising, and local. There was too much of everything, but nothing went to waste. This means that the variety one receives might sometimes seem unusual, but it's always delicious so I didn't care. Everything was done with generosity and care. The room was also very good. I would definitely recommend the place, but also advise travellers to be open to local and cultural differences. The customer is not king here, but he is also not neglected.

31/07/2025: Bergolo is a beautiful town and 'l Bunet fits in it perfectly. I had dinner and breakfast and I stayed the night here. Highly recommended. The food is extraordinary and the room was very good.

13/08/2025: Antipasti melanzane €20, a pure provocation at its worst with a childish approach. Tajarin al ragu with matching barbera, spot on. But everything is overpriced, the best food experiences in the region are local specialties, these are best eaten at trattorias/osterias where the price is a third - it's a food experience worth remembering!

09/05/2025: Locale che parla da solo appena ci mettete piede .. ad attendervi c’è la super Simona .. una cameriera bellissima e molto efficiente.. locale curato nei minimi particolari anche il bagno profumato .. mai sentito una cosa del genere .. attesa giusta e poi si parte con dei piatti che non si possono descrivere ma c’è solo da provare .. eravamo in 4 abbiamo preso 4 antipasti e 4 secondi .. dolci 2 vini e acqua .. poi grappe e caffè .. tot. 82,50 a testa .. prezzo onesto per la qualità e il servizio offerto .. simpatica anche la titolare che si è fermata x qualche minuto a parlare con noi … provatelo perchè qua si mangia da dio .. ovviamente accettano carta e fanno fattura..
