03/03/2026: A must to go go place when in Verbania, better call for a reservation especially over the weekend. The menu offers a variety of well crafted dishes for all tastes and a wide selection of wine. The interior is decorated with personalized touches from the friendly owners and the outside patio is in a beautiful small piazza. Good for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner.

24/01/2026: It's always a pleasure for me and my family to come back here! We came back a few nights ago to eat there, and the next night my parents wanted to try their pizza! That was EXCELLENT too! Flavorful, tasty, and light (which is very important!). I had the pleasure of trying it a while ago through the convenient home delivery service. Very good! This evening, we're returning with two couples of dear friends, and I'm sure they'll be satisfied! The staff is always very courteous and professional! The products used are high-quality and carefully sourced! The owner is a very pleasant and helpful person, and his passion for what he does shines through! Which is very appreciated! 07/01/2026: Family lunch with a pre-arranged set menu, very disappointing. The appetizer consisted of low-quality cured meats and little else. Everything was freezing cold straight out of the fridge. The risotto was the only dish that was adequate. The main course was cold and rubbery and tasted only of microwave. I was hoping to finish with Pinin's famous dessert, featuring gelato and various toppings, but this was also a disappointment: industrial-strength gelato full of ice cubes and frozen fruit. All this in a freezing cold dining room, despite being fully booked. Never again!

25/02/2026: Anchovies, Rice, and Glory Bagna cauda that doesn't need permission. He stands up, slams his fists on his taste buds, and says, "Today we're eating well, and I'm in charge here." I ordered paniscia without even knowing what it was: it's not a normal risotto, it's a delicious energy concentrate made with lard isotopes. They say Piedmontese cuisine hugs you: today it hugged me tightly and stayed with me for a long time to make sure I'd understood the lesson. I should point out that no passengers were gassed in the car on the return trip. Not just the food, but the lovely people: I felt at home. Honorable mention for the copper pans that were used for ostrich eggs.

09/02/2026: A restaurant serving traditional Ossola and lakeside cuisine. The first courses are delicious, and the venison stew is even better. The polenta could be improved; it's a bit too salty. Highly recommended, and I definitely think I'll be back.

28/09/2025: We came for the hotel's 150th anniversary with Scabin's menu, and what can I say? An exceptional sensory, tactile, and gustatory experience. A menu that must be experienced and dressed like a bespoke suit. The dining room staff, Elisabetta and Nicola, masters of the place, are testaments to the soul of the chef and the hotel itself, whose soul they embody. A unique experience.

26/09/2025: An exceptional restaurant in every way. It was a great choice, as from the first moment you can feel the restaurant's special atmosphere. We had the opportunity to try the Michelin-starred 250/100 menu. Some dishes are very original, surprising (and fun), and together they reflect the chef's career and culinary experience. Both the food and the pairing are of high quality. The staff who served us made our stay very pleasant; they were extremely friendly and attentive at all times, elevating the experience even further.

14/03/2026: Dam a Traa has been a regular stop for me for many years, and now that I live far from Verbania, it's a real pleasure to stop by for a bite every time I return to the city. Whether you're in its rustic, osteria-like dining rooms in winter or at the tables near the lake in summer, the abundance, quality, and attentive service are guaranteed. The portions are gigantic and the dishes are truly excellent; furthermore, the fact that the menu changes frequently, while maintaining some signature dishes, makes each visit a new discovery. During my last dinner, I opted for fish and left feeling full and satisfied. The paccheri with diced swordfish, vegetables, Taggiasca olives, and capers were phenomenal: perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful sauce that paired divinely with the fish. The real highlight, however, was the tuna steak: an absolute delight, tender and tasty even on its own, without the need for additional spices. Honorable mention goes to the trofie with pistachio cream and flambéed shrimp, a truly clever and successful combination. The price is incredibly fair, especially considering the excellent quality-to-quantity ratio.

09/03/2026: There are no complaints about the food or the quality of the dishes. The service is at an all-time low. It's a shame the owner isn't addressing this behavior. This is a place where you should not only leave a review, but also file a police report. Permissiveness, rudeness, and aggression from a waiter with a tattoo on his arm.
