18/04/2025: Thanks to Mickaela and her brother Antonio for their kind welcome! The hotel is certainly a little outdated but very well located, close to the pier to go to the Bellagio AND above all it is located 800 meters on foot from Villa Carlotta and its fabulous gardens. I don't regret my choice and the value for money is great!

11/04/2025: We are finishing our week-long stay and we are beyond thrilled! The hotel is in a great location to avoid having to drive and take advantage of the ferry and public transport. For the quality of the welcome: it is a family business and they take great care to ensure that your stay is excellent! Thanks for the good addresses! For hotel quality: we had a room with a lake view. The same as 5 star hotels 😀 Cleaning and comfort for a competitive price. A great address at an affordable price. 16/05/2025: Tourist trap! The tuna salad we ordered was incredibly basic. Absolutely no finesse at all and completely tasteless. Don't eat here. There are so many better places in the city.

01/06/2025: Viviamo in zona, una passeggiata in bici. Ci fermiamo poiché avevamo sete. Una lemon soda e un succo 9 euro! Mi sembra davvero un pochino caro!

29/05/2025: Nice view! Food was a bit disappointing, a bit boring pizza. Service did not speak English. Menu is only available in Italian but with Google Translate you can get a long way. Service is friendly to the children. I would not necessarily recommend it, only for a quick bite.

23/05/2025: Truly the best restaurant in Como. Such a lovely experience from start to finish. First the Beautiful art on the walls. Service was exceptional. The food was exquisite. Best pasta we have had and the most wonderful fish. Don't waste time at Gato nerro, eat here for real food and experience, you will not be disappointed!! If this were not our last night in lake como, we would come back to eat tomorrow 😋

06/05/2025: I recently dined at La Colombetta in Como and was extremely disappointed. The cuisine was very ordinary, especially considering the exorbitant prices that are more suited to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The asparagus was poorly cooked, and as for the beef fillet, the first time in my life that I have not been asked how I would like it cooked. On top of that, the staff was unwelcoming, making the entire experience unpleasant.

30/05/2025: A small, charming hotel for a pleasant stay: a perfect welcome, spacious, pleasant and very clean rooms, an idyllic setting, a restaurant that offers a varied menu with tasty dishes and free parking, which is rare enough to be highlighted! I recommend without hesitation!

30/05/2025: Food was good. The service was slow and one of the male waiters (with Emily tattooed on arm) humiliated us publicly because we miss pronounced ‘the bill’ in Italian. Not great

20/05/2025: Restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a very nice view. Excellent food. Relaxing background music to spend a quiet Sunday. I recommend the fillet with mushrooms.

13/05/2025: We visited this restaurant after recommendations but it did not meet our expectations at all. There were people waiting which makes sense due to the restaurant's reviews combined with its size. The waitress was unpleasant to rude. The food nothing special at all, the bread not fresh, the sizes of the dishes small and generally I felt I shouldn't have visited this place. If you happen to come accross it and there is table maybe it's worth it but definitely not waiting to find a table.

12/05/2025: Great food and drink, superb service, arrive by 7pm to avoid waiting. But it would be worth the wait.

16/04/2025: Ordinati due piatti di pizzoccheri. Arrivato del cibo chiaramente riscaldato, con pasta, patate e verdure che si raggruppavano in grumi poco invitanti. Parte del cibo troppo cotta e altra parte quasi fredda. Infine, la sorpresa: sul fondo, un largo pezzo di plastica trasparente, che la proprietaria ci ha detto viene utilizzato per conservare il cibo prima di riscaldarlo. A quel punto, non ci siamo sentiti di prendere altro. Prezzo, con due calici di prosecco versati non in presenza: Euro 37,00. Dopo tre ore, stiamo ancora aspettando di digerire. Mai più!

14/04/2025: Turisti infrasettimanali entrati per caso, tentati dal bel negozio di vini e dalla fame del mezzo giorno. Purtroppo l’aspetto non era all’altezza del cibo servito e della professionalità. Cibi già pronti scaldati in un fornetto o in microonde, qualità nella media ma chiaramente un già pronto da banco, porzioni scarse prezzi notevoli e spropositati. Ma la cosa che meno mi è piaciuta il servizio, alla richiesta di due calici di vino bianco ci chiedi che vino, scegliamo ma quanto ci vengono serviti nessuna spiegazione del vino, nemmeno la vista della bottiglia. In un enoteca ti aspetti altro: amore per il vino e voglia di raccontarlo, quando ho chiesto che vino c’era stato versato in modo scocciato e poco interessato mi è stato a malapena risposto. I calici avevano un costo di 10€ l’uno per una bottiglia venduta a 26€, io capisco tutto anche la diffidenza sui turisti ma, allora cambia lavoro o fai entrare solo quelli di casa. Delusa da questa poca professionalità.

11/05/2025: This is absolutely horrible and unfair experience. My dinner on May 9th, 2025, was a blatant rip-off. 18 euros for a "fried fish" dish that contained absolutely no fish! The waitress who served me lied to us. I asked what was inside the fried fish dish, and she said different kinds of fried fish. But when it came, it only had shrimp and small, broken squid. There was no fish at all. Then I asked her again. They said "Gambari fish" and "shrimp" are like calling it fish. But when I almost finished eating, there was still no other type of fish. I asked her one more time. She then said fried fish only has shrimp and squid. I asked how that's different from the seafood dish on the menu 15e and my food 18e( fried fish), and she lied again, saying seafood only has squid. But the menu has a separate dish for fried squid 15e. I knew she was trying to lie and cheat me. I had to pay 18 euros for food with no fish at all, just small bits of other things. This is not okay to treat customers like this. Warning: they charge 3 euros coperto just to eat at the restaurant, that's too much for a small place in a village. "To the restaurant, my comment which encourages you to improve the restaurant, however, you behaved negatively to customers. Thus, As a english speaker traveling to a non-english country, it's quite hard to communicate with the waiter. My suggestion is writing clearly all ingredients under the food name, so others will know what are inside and no need to ask waitress many times. Sincerely, your reply and attitude to customers like this won't make your restaurant better. "

11/05/2025: It's incredibly disappointing to see the owner respond with condescension rather than accountability. My friend clearly expressed that there was no fish in the “fried fish” dish — and instead of taking responsibility for the confusion, your response blames her English skills and deflects criticism by referencing menu wording and outdated photos from the internet. This has nothing to do with language. It’s about misleading presentation, poor communication, and an unwillingness to clarify when asked — multiple times. A customer asked simple questions, and your staff gave inconsistent and evasive answers. Instead of admitting any mistake or even showing understanding, you chose to lecture your guest and insult her intelligence. That says a lot more about your attitude than hers. Thankfully, not every customer of yours is treated this way — but unfortunately, we were. We’re not upset because of “coperto” or Italian customs. We’re upset because we were misled, talked down to, and disrespected — both in person and online.

26/05/2025: The views and ambiance are absolutely dreamy but what lacked was the food + service. The food lacked flavor - it felt like something was almost forgotten in the dishes we had. And the service was slow and felt disinterested in helping ensure our experience was pleasant. It also felt like the staff was annoyed we did not order the tasting menu. The sommelier also seemed annoyed we did not order a bottle and instead ordered a 40 EUR glass of wine (each) - lol. 23/05/2025: First an foremost, a big thank you for accommodating us in the room, because my wife was ill and not in anyways able to get ready for a nice restaurant like this. We had every course delivered to our room in outstanding quality; the caviar spaghetti are a most as well as the lobster macaroni. The two filets (veal and beef) were good as well. The tiramisu was great: not to sweet but full of flavour. As a wine enthusiast I also appreciate the wines by the glass (as I was the only drinker), with lynch moussas 2010 and a lovely puligny montrachet i didnt miss out on anything!

22/05/2025: Pasé por un almuerzo rápido y resultó ser una experiencia muy agradable. Nuestro camarero era muy atento y sabiendo que estábamos apretados a tiempo, se aseguró de llevar nuestra comida rápidamente. Mi pasta de marisco era espectacular y las pizzas también. ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente combinarlo con su spritz Aperol!

17/05/2025: The place is great with a great atmosphere. But keep in mind that everything here is geared towards tourists, more than in other cities. The food is mediocre. We waited for the waiter to take our order for about 25-30 minutes.

17/05/2025: The food IS expensive, no doubt about that; however the quality is incredible, extremely enjoyable atmosphere in arguably one of the most premium locations on the lake. I would personally recommend the lamb and risotto; both with incredibly rich flavour. My partner was particularly fond of the spaghetti salad. Amazing experience, incredible staff, very much enjoyed.

10/05/2025: We went to the Belvedere hotel to have dinner at the Albóri restaurant. It was an unforgettable experience. We arrived around 7pm starting with a very elegant aperitif and then moving on to dinner overlooking the lake. The large windows allow you to dine in front of a view that relaxes body and mind. Chef Marco offered us the tasting menu which turned out to be amazing and highly sought after. The sommelier Stefano accompanied us brilliantly for every single dish with a dedicated wine paring. We would also like to mention the attention and professionalism of the guys in the room, mentioning in particular Youssuf who was very kind and nice. We will definitely return, also hoping to stay in this very elegant hotel.

11/05/2025: I gave 3 stars because the value for money isn't there. Very beautiful and suggestive location with a swimming pool directly on the lake, the bar behind it is very nice but the deckchairs in the pool are old and uncomfortable from the 80s. The hotel garden is fabulous and well cared for but the hotel toilet in the basement is dirty and smelly already at 11 in the morning. Furthermore, the standard rooms are really small, you can barely move. Uncomfortable and old mattress and in the duvet cover instead of a duvet a wool blanket. When a customer spends certain amounts these details are really unpleasant. Come on put more effort into it it's such a nice hotel in a potential location

14/03/2025: We had some great days at this hotel. The biggest asset is the near location to Como and the lake with a stunning pool. It’s a bit pricey but other than that we’d definitely like to return 👌🏻
