We stumbled upon this place for dinner one night and it was a total success. We shared some breaded calamari that was amazing, and some fantastic wheat beers. The waitress was lovely and speaks Spanish much better than she thinks. We enjoyed it so much that we went back another night.

Yesterday (April 24, 2026), I had lunch at Guerci, as I've done frequently, once a month, since I've lived in Como. You walk in, choose your meal from the counter, and then enjoy a meal of the freshest fish. I chose the tartare, accompanied by basmati rice. I usually order the trio of salmon, tuna, and... surprise, sea bass tartare. Fantastic! A man ahead of me was getting the last of the sea bass portion and, with a kindness I'll remember for a long time, allowed me to enjoy more. This place always offers me memorable moments. I can't say if it depends on my mood, but most likely it does. In any case, I associate Guerci with a place that always provides me with unforgettable moments. A stroll along the lake starting on foot from the Tavernola pier, a three-kilometer stroll past Villa Olmo, and arriving in the city center, headed straight for one of my favorite places. I usually order them (I'm referring to the tartare) so they don't run out when I get there. They keep them aside and always make me a plate with jasmine rice, so I can have them instead of bread. It's the dish you can't miss. Ask for it and you'll be satisfied. Then I add other daily delicacies, which I find at the counter and can choose on the spot. Yesterday there were marinated anchovies with a side of leeks (that's what I chose), mixed fried fish, fried vegetables, octopus with potatoes, pasta with fish, cod, etc. A good wine (I'm a creature of habit, I always order Cannonau 😂😂😂) and finally dessert, which used to be off the menu. €24 with a small bottle of water. I'll be back soon and highly recommend it.
