11/05/2026: Anyone who gives this restaurant a bad review is because they don't know what to order and end up paying a lot for dishes that aren't typical of the lake. We shared an appetizer with excellent lake fish, ordered a risotto with Persian fish and another typical fish with butter and sage, a nice bottle of white wine (Pinot Grigio) from Lombardy, and our dinner was wonderful. I've lived in Italy for 13 years, I know that restaurants on Lake Como are expensive, but this one was worth every penny.

01/05/2026: We stopped for lunch for two, looking for a quick meal. The prices are average for the area, but unfortunately, they reflect the rather low quality of the products. We ordered lasagna, which was mediocre, and spaghetti with seafood, which was decidedly inedible. The dish was overpowered by an excessive amount of garlic, so much so that it masked every other flavor and even the smell in the area around us. This choice suggests it was intended to mask the poor quality of the fish, which was extremely rubbery, almost like chewing gum. The coffee also made the experience even more disappointing: very watered down and with virtually no flavor, other than the hint of sugar. It must be said, however, that the service was very good: the staff was quick to seat customers, take orders, and serve the dishes. The only flaw was the constant shuffling around checking on tables to collect dishes, which at times was a bit uncomfortable and gave the feeling of being "pushed" to finish quickly. Overall, a disappointing food experience, and we wouldn't recommend it, despite the efficient service.

09/05/2026: A perfect example of a local Italian restaurant! A wide selection of pizzas, all very tempting (it's even hard to choose!). A local atmosphere (music, etc.) and attentive service with staff who don't judge us when we try to speak their language. The only slight drawback was that they were out of tiramisu... perhaps a victim of its own success? In short, we recommend this place 200%! It's located about a ten-minute walk from Villa Balbiannello.

21/04/2026: I thought I'd have a simple business lunch, but instead I found myself enjoying two simple yet very delicate dishes. The menu was a "must." Fresh pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs with mushrooms and potatoes. The restaurant is small, seating only about thirty, but comfortable. It's pleasant and well-maintained. I liked the first course, but the meatballs with mushrooms and potatoes had a flavor you'd rarely find in a typical osteria/trattoria. I was also very pleased with the chocolate cake, which wasn't dry and wasn't overly sweet, but was delicious. Maurizio

09/11/2025: The hotel was truly fantastic! The food was also good. Beautiful, green surroundings and the best coral reef in Sharm El-Sheikh. However, the bed, especially the mattress and pillows, unfortunately did not quite live up to the hotel's standard.

05/05/2026: This was our second visit – unfortunately, it will probably be our last. Our first visit was positive, but this time we were disappointed. Charging an additional €50 per person for spa access on top of an overnight price of over €200 felt exorbitant. We expected more from a resort of this caliber. Dinner also failed to impress. The Angus burger sounded promising but was a letdown: the meat was coarsely chopped, lumpy, and anything but tender. It simply wasn't worth the price. We were particularly disappointed with how our feedback was handled. We politely informed the staff that the food didn't meet our expectations, but received no real response. No explanation, no alternative, no replacement, no apology. In the end, we were left with a hefty bill and a disappointing experience. In our opinion, the pictures speak for themselves. We'll leave it to the community to decide whether the price and quality are in line. As guests of the resort, we would have appreciated at least a little more attention, goodwill, and appreciation.

02/05/2026: I spent one night at this beautiful property, staying in a Deluxe room. The room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with truly high-quality products. We also had dinner at the property's restaurant, and what can I say? Everything was truly top-notch, including the service and friendliness of all the staff. The spa experience was very relaxing and enjoyable, and the outdoor pool on the upper solarium was an added bonus. I highly recommend this experience, and I'll definitely repeat it.

07/04/2026: First experience at the "Il Gatto Nero" restaurant; fresh, refined food, and generous portions. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly, polite, and available to answer any questions. We had lunch on the terrace, with a breathtaking view of Lake Como. Parking is available nearby, but not very large. The restaurant is also suitable for families with children. Recommended.
