15/06/2025: I'll start by saying that we were in the area to check out another restaurant as a location for our wedding, and we ended up there by chance, to grab a bite to eat, when we saw the restaurant we fell in love with it, beautiful, unique, without too many frills. There's nothing to say about the food, as people from Puglia the fish dishes are exquisite, we were speechless, so we immediately asked to speak to the manager, from the beginning he was a bit rude as his first response was: wait a minute I just arrived. So we had lunch and asked again if we could speak to him, explaining to the waiter that we were interested in the restaurant as a location for our wedding, we had to call him three times before he arrived, however, understanding that we hadn't made an appointment and that it was a busy day, we pointed out that we would be back, in the end he insisted on making this blessed appointment. We found ourselves in front of a person who reluctantly showed us the place, I would like to point out that the restaurant is present on matrimonio.com, when we politely told him that we didn't like his proposal, he started to insistently look at the clock, furthermore all the nice settings that were present have all been eliminated, the lake has been removed, ditto the swimming pool and the olive tree park he said that it is abandoned and in disuse, so I say why not change the advertising on matrimonio.com? Furthermore, in the end, in addition to being treated like dirt, having asked us for €20,000 for the exclusive location for lunch and dinner (we didn't want exclusivity but since there were two other rooms for hotel guests, we wanted to understand if it was possible to have the large room downstairs for us instead of cramming ourselves into a corner and eating with the other guests, we also asked if we could change the day to the week instead of Saturday, since we understood that since it was a wedding for 80 people, perhaps asking for such a large room for us was a bit too much, so we were willing to compromise, we were told that either you do it like this or nothing), furthermore, in addition to the rudeness and arrogance with which we were treated, they also made us pay for the little bottle of water that the girl at the counter had offered me, well, we were stunned, thank goodness Mr. Giovanni says that the property has cut the funds for weddings because they are no longer done, weddings are not done because of this absurd management, the ridiculous proposals and rudeness that we have found ourselves faced with, get out of matrimonio.com if you are so annoyed by doing them and change that misleading advertising and you will see that no one will bother you anymore...
10/06/2025: The quality of the raw materials and dishes is always top notch. The locations are always top notch. The only flaw is that they have drastically reduced the portions, especially in the "Gran Simposio" appetizer, and increased the prices quite a bit....
And fortunately we were all teetotalers, I don't dare to imagine if we would have had wine....

14/06/2025: Il Casottino is a rare gem, one of those places that enter your heart from the first moment. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, with a perfect balance between tradition and attention to detail. Each dish is an explosion of true, genuine, memorable flavors. The cuisine is simply extraordinary, with very fresh ingredients and a passion that can be felt in every bite.
But what makes the experience complete is the impeccable service. A special mention goes without a doubt to the waitress who served us and accommodated all our countless requests (unfortunately I don't know her name): kind, smiling, attentive and helpful.
I recommend “Il Casottino” with all my heart, we will definitely be back again and again.

So basically all the waiters are super aggressive and angry without any reason.
They totally messed with our mood and they have a really bad temper were they just keep shouting. Wouldn’t recommend at all! THE WORST.
05/07/2025: The worst pizza I've ever eaten in Italy. Ingredients completely canned, tasteless, you can't even taste the tomato sauce. Toilet filthy. Drinks were okay, but not even the aperol tasted good

02/05/2025: Poche note perché di più non serve. Ristarante elegante sul lungolago. Cibo molto buono e presentato benissimo. Spettacolare il polpo su crema di zucca. Buona scelta di vini al calice. Il nostro era molto buono. Servizio attento ed anche una piccola svista si è trasformata in una occasione per fare una battuta divertente. Prezzi medi come si conviene ad un posto di qualità. Da consigliare.

13/06/2025: My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic Italian meal at La Colombetta. The food was amazing and the service was great - the sisters who run this restaurant go above and beyond to give their customers an authentic Italian experience. We will be back next time we are in Como.
10/06/2025: I dine out frequently and I have to say this was one of the finest culinary experiences I can remember. La Colombetta was an absolute smash hit from the minute we arrived, it’s located in what was once a 13th century church, but completely renovated with a modern chic vibe, all that remains of the church is some of the original ceiling graphics which remain visible.
This is family owned and operated, run by three sisters and their brother, also on hand were identical twin daughters, who provided service with 5 star excellence. We were warmly greeted by one of the sisters and provided with a complimentary glass of prosecco and some very tasty thin pita chips with a drizzle of evoo. Followed by their house red wine that was fantastic.
We literally wanted to order everything on the menu, but we went with some favorites. Started with the Buratta served with sweet cherry tomatoes, evoo and a balsamic glaze drizzle, very artistically presented, it was excellent, cheese was rich and creamy.
For our next course we went with pasta (of course) Tagliolini with Lobster for two, and the Spinach Ravioli with Tomato Sauce and Basil, both were excellent. Then on to the Grilled Lamb chops, again excellent. As much as we wanted to order more, we were stuffed and wanted to leave room for the homemade desserts.
We ordered the Crème Brûlée and Lemon & Mandarin Sorbet. I inquired what was taking a few minutes, I was told it’s not ready, we’re making it fresh. This was by far the absolute best Crème Brûlée I had ever had, right out of the oven, even the plate was still hot. Same for the Lemon Sorbet, best I’ve ever had.
Everything here is freshly homemade to order. Best restaurant in Como, possibly all of Italy, if you’re there, this is a must! Dining here is like dining with your family, they make you feel right at home. You never know who you might see here, every celebrity that visited Como has dined here, I’m told it’s Clooneys favorite restaurant, De Niro, Sandler, Jagger and many others dine here. When I shared my enthusiasm over the meal, I was invited into the kitchen to meet the rest of the family, this may be the cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Reservations strongly recommended.
Please note, as this is an intimate spot, I limited my interior pics as not to disturb or invade the other guests. It really is very beautiful.

26/04/2025: Purtroppo Guerci non è più lo stesso... abbiamo mangiato un secondo di pesce, branzino io e ombrina mio marito. Cottura tipo mensa, secco e per nulla saporito.
Accompagnato da pessime patate arrosto... insomma una grande delusione!
Qualità/prezzo veramente scarso...

11/06/2025: Unfortunately, it was the least Italian pizza I've ever eaten in Italy. The cheese was more like yellow cheese, had an intense flavor, and the burrata I ordered was just a hard ball of mozzarella, it wasn't soft and melty at all, just hard and tore into pieces. The pizza was more like a fast food pizza. They go for quantity, not quality.. Poor, but the Aperol was good and they actually put less ice because I asked for it.

01/07/2025: Mussel appetizer, cheese platter, octopus and fregola appetizer were good.
We then ordered a grilled fish to share, some pieces of the dish really smelled and tasted bad, we tasted a little and left the rest there.
We are not used to complaining, so when it came time to pay, knowing that we would have paid for everything anyway, we pointed it out.
Perhaps feeling hurt in our pride that no one wanted to attack, or fearful because I read now that it is not the first time it has happened, we were treated very badly.
I tell the lady who I imagine is the owner that it can happen that even if the fish is fresh some pieces are not like all the others, it was enough to check and realize that it was not a personal accusation, when she did not hesitate to try to humiliate us.
"Impossible", "The gentlemen who go on yachts paid us great compliments, maybe you have different tastes", "Your friend is vegetarian so she can't talk" "You made a mess on your plate so no, we won't check, you should have called us immediately"
All this while I repeatedly said "that's fine, we pay for everything, we just wanted to point it out"
The most absurd thing is that I was also told that I was rude, I don't know what more I could have done madam, if not keep quiet from the beginning, which I probably would have done if she had simply said "we're sorry, we'll be careful next time", if her fear was to avoid a fuss, she did exactly the opposite of what she should have done.
I'm sorry, I hope things go better for you in the future, thanks anyway for the initial dishes, we appreciated them even without the yacht, even my vegetarian friend!

03/06/2025: We didn't have a great experience here. Our wine came after our appetizer and after they spilled my sparkling water all over the table. We had the ravioli, which were dumplings, and not pasta. And while every other table got bread, we felt ignored. Walked away hungry and disappointed.
31/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant right on the lake. Stylishly decorated. With the lights around the ivy very romantic. The food and wine were fantastic. The service staff very attentive. The noise from the cars was minimal. In the evening we experienced a beautiful sunset. You can also use the parking lot. The price/quality ratio is very fair. All in all, a very successful evening. The restaurant is highly recommended.
