17/11/2024: The last time I ate there was at Easter and then it closed for renovation but it's November and it doesn't open... why? Can we find out when it reopens?

29/10/2024: Convenient location for the ferry to reach the various locations, slightly outdated but clean rooms with a view of the lake, plentiful and nice breakfast, very kind staff. I highly recommend

02/10/2024: Soundproofing in the rooms is terrible. You can hear even how fly farts in the room next to yours. We were unlucky, while we stayed, in the next room was a couple who probably hadn't seen each other for a long time.... Rooms small. Washrooms old. But fine. Service good. Personal nice. Breakfast is good enough. It costs a lot, but you pay mostly for the view.

23/05/2025: Il peggior locale di Casablanca ! Non voglio dilungarmi...2 pizze, 1 acqua, 1 moretti e 2 amari. € 36 Pizza, birra e amaro prezzo nella media qualità della pizza dozzinale, ma edibile. Acqua € 6 Coperto € 5 Location e personale come da titolo. Ah, visto anche uno spiccato accento partenopeo all'interno del locale, almeno la pizza .......! Mai più.

06/01/2025: The Metropole is located very exclusively directly on the lake. There is no better place than to drink a red wine on a lakeside balcony and enjoy the magnificent view. The rooms are small and were only partially renovated. A general renovation is currently taking place and we are looking forward to the result. The restaurant was never worth mentioning. We rarely had breakfast there. Here we hope for a nicer interior and, above all, for an appropriate gastronomic concept... Opening year currently 2026...

01/06/2025: Great location, food was good but a bit overpriced. Service was efficient.

06/05/2025: This was a very disappointing experience. The service was poor, as the waiter never checked in with us about anything. The food was just okay; the pasta was fine but the fish was very dry. It’s a quaint place with potential but they need to improve their food and service.

03/06/2025: Staff was excellent and food was good, but not quite what it was a few years ago. The lobster pasta dish was tasty, but way too messy to have customers extract the lobster from the shells. The squid ink risotto with lobster in 2019 was complete and outstanding with the lobster meat out of the shell. Ambiance is unchanged and wonderful, but it was our unfortunate bad luck that a large family with multiple children and nannies in tow (who did not eat!) arrived with their noisy kids. A no children under 12 or 13 rule would be appropriate for a restaurant that charges +200 for a meal.

03/06/2025: As everyone says, the view is spectacular! Great service and good food. Prices on the high side but overall a good experience. The table side tiramisu was great!

29/05/2025: Risotto with perch of excellent quality. Quiet location a little away from the lakeside. Excellent service. Very kind and friendly owner with whom we chatted a bit at the end of lunch. Everything perfect so, we will return soon.

16/02/2025: Ho messo una stella perché non si può mettere di meno per scrivere la recensione! Ci siamo fermati a pranzo e il fatto che il locale fosse deserto già ci aveva fatto insospettire. Il menù però sembrava invitante e comunque ormai avevamo chiesto la disponibilità di un tavolo: ordiniamo una porzione di spaghetti con le vongole (completamente privi di sale e totalmente insapori, tanto che per poterli mangiare abbiamo dovuto condirli con sale pepe e olio al peperoncino) da 13 euro, una porzione di fritto misto da 15 euro, una di patatine, un tè freddo e un caffè. Totale: 52 euro!!! Ho chiesto spiegazioni e mi e stato fatto un riepilogo velocissimo - da cui ho capito che la bottiglietta di tè freddo da 500 ml costa 4 euro! - dopo il quale mi è stato buttato sul bancone un foglietto scritto a mano con l'ordinazione ma non i prezzi. Oltretutto per mangiare in un posto vetusto, freddissimo e maleodorante. Da starci alla larga! Peccato perché da fuori sembrava una vecchia trattoria di campagna. Non avevo voglia di discutere, quindi ho pagato e ce ne siamo andati ma ovviamente l'ho segnato nella lista nera

08/02/2025: A place that I thought was Italian, but instead there are foreign girls cooking, never mind that practically the prices are skyrocketing, I ate the carbonara, it was disgusting, I also ate the pizza with all the ash underneath but a lot of it though, and lastly the Florentine tart which still makes me vomit and they only made me pay 45 euros for a pinch of raw meat, given that even if I'm dead I won't come back and many who have eaten here know that everything is disgusting with no flavor or salt at all 600 ounces of meat for lunch 45 euros but not even what I earn in a day and yet to vomit still frozen inside

22/04/2025: Increíble ubicación y vista. Y realmente pagas por ello, por comida promedio a precios de gama alta, y aperitivos escandalosamente caros. Solo vaya si desea una vista realmente impresionante y un ambiente agradable.

04/06/2025: We only stopped here for a drink. The service was nice. There's a good view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, even though it's not directly on the lake, with the road and parking lot in front of it.

23/05/2025: La comida no es buena aquí, no estoy seguro de por qué está tan bien clasificado. No te molestes en poner esto en tu lista para visitar, lugares mucho mejores de la ciudad.

01/05/2025: In queste giornate festive ,quando il Lago di Como pullula di turisti a piedi,in macchina,in bus e battelli , un posto tranquillo a quasi 400 metri di altitudine facilmente raggiungibile in pochi minuti ,permette,come ogni tanto facciamo, di passare un paio di ore in tutta tranquillità,all'ombra di folti alberi che riparano dal sole.E quindi cosa meglio di una polenta taragna con uno stufato di cervo ed un buon nebbiolo della Valtellina? Servizio cordiale,cortese,non frettoloso.Prezzi abbordabili e lontani dai prezzi esasperati e spesso non giustificabili praticati da molti esercizi sul lago.

13/04/2025: My booking was cancelled just a couple of days before arrival. I had paid in full. Really messed up my travel plans. And then I saw the hotel is shut down. I hope I get my money back.
