09/03/2024: Nous nous sommes arrêter par hasard ici et nous ne sommes pas déçues. La cuisine est raffinée, les saveurs se mélange et vous laisse sans voix. On a l’impression de manger dans un restaurant gastronomique. Le service est vraiment exceptionnel et les serveurs aux petits soins. C’est vraiment l’un d’un meilleur endroit de Come. Ils produisent une huile d’olive de grande qualité que vous pouvez acheter. Je vous recommande fortement d’y prendre un déjeuner.

09/04/2024: Un dîner parfait, si reposant après une longue route. Buffet d’antipasti où on a envie de tout prendre tellement tout est bon. Truite du lac grillée aux légumes braisés. Vin blanc italien léger. L’endroit surplombant le lac offre par ailleurs une vue magique!

19/05/2024: Grill is slightly separate from the main hotel building of Villa D'Este and has a slightly dark frontage and the lightning is a bit dim, but the overall experience was very good. The food was good, though not exceptional for the price which is quite high. I think I could have got a ribeye steak of comparable quality for significantly less elsewhere (Red in St Peter Port for example, but no that handy for Lake Como) but you do pay a premium for being in Como at Villa D'Este. The wine list is good but again expensive. Expect to pay €200+ per head and more if you like wine. We drank wine by the glass which allowed a wide with starters and a red with main which worked well. They have the best ever dessert wine available Donnafugata Ben Rye, a passito from Pantelleria ( an Island between Malta and North Africa, not, as the sommelier insisted, in Sicily). Try it is you can. It is a little glass of amber heaven.
