29/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for four nights over Christmas and were pleasantly surprised by every little detail the owners thoughtfully incorporated, both in the rooms and in the breakfast rooms and restaurant. We were pampered by Elena in the morning with a delicious breakfast, featuring a wide selection of sweet and savory options. The room was spotless, with a fragrant aroma of home-made linens. Congratulations to Marcello and Maria for this little gem we stumbled upon almost by chance. Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: Staying for one night, great welcome: Spacious room and everything was very clean and quiet. At breakfast, we were greeted by a charming, smiling, and attentive lady. She made our experience wonderful, even drawing on our lattes 👌🏼 Awesome! I highly recommend it!

16/12/2025: My partner and I are extremely satisfied because we ordered a pizza that wasn't on the menu, yet they were kind enough to prepare it exactly as we requested: a crust-filled pizza filled with ricotta and mortadella. The tiramisu was delicious, and beautifully presented in a very cute little pan. They really made our wish come true! ​Furthermore, the service was very quick and they immediately understood our request.

The food is simply delicious: every dish is carefully crafted, with balanced flavors and quality ingredients. Special thanks to Chef Francesco, who not only delighted us with his refined cuisine but also took the time to personally greet us—a gesture we greatly appreciated. His dishes are a true delight. 14/10/2025: I had an amazing stay - everything exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was outstanding — honestly the best I’ve ever had in Italy! The selection was excellent, freshly pressed juices, locally sourced butter and eggs, and even a great variety of breads. The hotel’s location is perfect, almost directly on the lake, and the restaurant sits right by the water, serving delicious meals. I didn’t even feel the need to try other restaurants in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers free sun loungers for guests as well as SUP boards and kayaks, which was a wonderful bonus. I would love to come back!

Restaurant: Chef Marta is stellar, offering unique dishes or traditional revisited dishes with added spices, sauces, or ricotta with starfish. A dinner I will remember for a long time. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and perfectly suited for a special occasion. The seafood was outstanding—extremely fresh and prepared with precision and respect for the ingredients. I ordered the turbot, which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by a delightful, well-balanced sauce that enhanced the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it. My wife chose the sea bass, and it was equally impressive—delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service deserves special recognition. It was extremely professional yet genuinely friendly, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. The twin sisters together with their mother form a true dream team—coordinated, passionate, and clearly dedicated to offering guests an exceptional dining experience. For anyone looking for refined Sardinian cuisine in Como, especially for a romantic evening, La Colombetta is an absolute recommendation.

04/03/2026: I'm sorry to share this review because the Tenuta Spa could get many more stars, but the spa room is too hot and the water is too cold. As soon as you enter from outside, the water seems lukewarm. After ten minutes in the room, the water becomes chilly and not relaxing. Three hours spent on the loungers.

24/02/2026: I stayed for one night only, and it was my first time there. I have to say the welcome was very warm, with great attention to detail. The room for two people was very cozy and also quite spacious. The spa is very well equipped — not a small spa, but one with several rooms, hot tubs, a steam room, a hammam, a tea corner, and the possibility to book body and facial treatments. I also had a one-hour massage, which was very relaxing. In the afternoon, I asked for a dish as a snack and they were happy to accommodate the changes I requested, even though it was something not on the menu. As for the restaurant, I was very pleased with the service. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented — everything was satisfying. The setting is very well designed; I especially noticed the wooden beams, which created a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. After my stay, I realized I had forgotten my swimsuit at the property. Following several phone calls, during which I was initially told that I hadn’t left anything behind, it was eventually confirmed that the swimsuit had indeed been found. I was then given the option to have it shipped to me through a payment link. They also offered the possibility to take a walk in the woods using a paper map. I personally found it a bit difficult to follow, as the path was completely covered with leaves, which made the trail harder to see and navigate. I visited in February, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor areas of the property.

14/01/2026: Brides beware! My dinner was held on 11/14/25. For an entire year I went back and forth with this restaurant about my wedding dinner. Table settings, menu choices, and where I wanted to be placed in the restaurant were completely detailed. Contracts were signed and NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS were made. However upon arrival my request to be seated downstairs with individual tables for my guests was not agreed upon despite being perfectly clear in all previous correspondence. The event planner Roberto repeatedly argued that what he gave me was “better” and he “wasn’t charging me for it.” I didn’t ask for what you gave me and therefore I didn’t get what I paid for. Their solution was an extra round of drinks and €200 off my over €3000 dinner. If this restaurant ever re-opens maybe consider another venue. Contracts and your desires (that are in writing) seem arbitrary to this establishment.

22/12/2025: Very nice place if you can find a table outside. I called three weeks in advance, but since there was a pre-wedding for that day, they put us inside anyway. The atmosphere isn't as magical because the interior is rather sterile and cold. The food was good, but I wasn't thrilled with the appetizer of lake fish prepared in various ways. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

10/01/2026: We went to this restaurant for the first time this evening. An experience to forget in every way: from appetizers to main courses to dessert. The menu doesn't reflect the dishes served, as some ingredients are missing. The desserts were terrible: they took a long time to arrive, and only then did we understand why: they were frozen. The chocolate cake, however, was served burnt. Also, pay attention to your receipt: we encountered several issues, with some dishes being priced higher than what was listed on the menu. We absolutely do not recommend it.

25/02/2026: Excellent food, but it's the soul of the place that makes the difference. The paella is exquisite and the meat is superb!!! Matteo and his partner make you feel like guests more than customers: he's down-to-earth, friendly, and like one of the family. We left with a smile and a free bag of herbs for our herbal tea, a truly thoughtful touch. Definitely book a table to enjoy this carefree experience. We'll definitely be back.

07/10/2025: Something beautiful. Such an atmosphere is a treasure. One of the most beautiful places on Lake Como, a must-visit with your loved one.

03/10/2025: Positive: The mini golf course is also okay, and for €5 per adult and €4 for children, it's okay. But that's about all the great things Lido Menaggio has to offer. Contrary: I can say without exaggeration that the bathing area is an absolute disgrace compared to the entrance prices, bordering on a rip-off. A family of four pays €20 to enter. However, after that, you're only allowed to lie on the lawn. A sun lounger costs an additional €4, and a parasol another €4. You quickly notice that the entire complex is unkempt, and in some places even looks neglected. The toilets aren't cleaned (literally covered in trash), there's no toilet paper, the sand soccer field is a disgrace, with broken glass on the floor and staff walking carelessly past it, and cigarette butts on the lawn. After a power outage lasting almost two hours, the thawed ice cream is resold. Truly disgusting!!! We declined politely. The other food options are no better. A regular burger costs €6, a sausage in a bun with mustard is sold as a hot dog and costs €5, and a regular-sized portion of fries also costs €5. The prices are outrageous considering what's on offer. The Menaggio Lido seems to want to be a hip place. But it can't. It seems forced and incompetent. The list of flaws could go on endlessly. In Germany, a lido like this would have to close after one season. I can think of one good thing, though... The water playground in the lake is great; all the kids who can swim and the adults have fun here, and that was ultimately the only reason we went there three times. Otherwise, you can safely avoid this place. But form your own opinion. Have fun!
