Traditional atmosphere. Well-maintained and maintained. Kitchens and food stores are well-maintained and very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Lino, the owner, is a wonderful person. Excellent traditional cuisine with quality products. Highly recommended.

This place is simply OUTSTANDING ❤️ You can tell the locals love it, and I stumbled upon it completely by accident. The pasta was delicious, made with fresh ingredients (those shrimp 😍), the pizza looked good too, and for a snack, we got a dough with olive oil and spices – simple, yet so delicious 🥰. Plus, the wonderful service makes me want to go back to Como, just to visit this restaurant again. I hope there are more places like this ❤️

The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a more relaxed evening. The cuisine lived up to expectations: tasty, well-prepared, and carefully crafted dishes that showcase tradition and authentic flavors. You can sense the attention to quality and passion in every course. A place where you eat well and feel welcome: we'll definitely be back! Added bonus: the convenient location, just steps from the city center and the Duomo.

I recently had dinner at La Griglia and was truly satisfied. What immediately strikes you is the welcome: the staff is friendly, helpful, and manages to create a family atmosphere without ever being intrusive. The service is quick yet attentive, always attentive to the customer's needs. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, a place where you immediately feel at ease, ideal for a relaxing evening. The cuisine is also excellent: well-crafted, flavorful, and prepared with quality ingredients. The care and passion that goes into every item on the menu is evident. A restaurant that combines good food and excellent hospitality, with a view of the Duomo. Highly recommended!

14/12/2025: Top-notch piadina, made with care and quality ingredients. The fries are addictive. They also have interesting craft beers, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We stumbled upon it by chance, but we'll definitely be back.

18/05/2026: We stayed at the family run Albergo Il Vapore for 2 nights and the hospitality we had from Pinuccia and Simone was second to none. The evening dinner at the restaurant we had was so good we ate there 2 nights in a row! The fresh pasta and fish dishes were deliciously prepared by the chef Simone.... make sure to book if eating here as its very popular! Highly recommended!

Albergo Il Vapore is everything you hope to find in Italy — authentic, family-run, warm, and completely unforgettable. The setting in the heart of Menaggio is beautiful, but it’s the atmosphere and homemade food that truly make this place special. Every dish tasted like it was made with genuine care and tradition. Fresh pasta, incredible flavors, simple ingredients done perfectly — the kind of meal that reminds you why Italian cuisine is loved around the world. You can feel the passion in every plate. The service was equally wonderful: welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely kind, making us feel more like guests in someone’s home than customers at a restaurant. What we loved most was how authentic everything felt. No tourist traps, no unnecessary fuss — just outstanding food, a charming atmosphere, and a memorable experience shared together. Easily one of the highlights of our entire trip and without question the best lunch we had in Italy. If you’re visiting Menaggio, do yourself a favor and eat here. We’ll be talking about this meal for a very long time.
