02/06/2026: A very nice hotel restaurant with good dishes, both local and non-local, all carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff was very efficient, discreet, and friendly. A beautiful lake view that alone is worth the price. Prices are reasonable for the cuisine and location, and the dishes are well-cooked and beautifully presented. The desserts are excellent. Reservations are recommended. Dinner with a view overlooking the lake is worth it.

05/05/2026: The pizza was clearly frozen, the first and second courses were perhaps better, and the service was rude.

01/06/2026: Guys, what happened to Tempio? This is a nostalgic review because it's been two years since I've been down this street. Tonight we wanted to go and drove by twice only to realize the place is still there, but it's a tiny shopfront. It really hit me because we've been coming to this place since 2004. We didn't even get a drink because there were only a few tables occupied. I read the latest negative reviews and, in short, I'm so sorry for this collapse. This trendy Nolo that took over one of the best places in Milan! I haven't been back in a long time only because I now frequent other parts of the city and you can never find parking here! But once upon a time, ethnic food was served here when most people didn't even know what it was; there were aperitivos, dinner, brunch, board games, and art exhibitions. I wish a new life to this place or at least to the owner who may have a gruff manner but is a nice person.

21/10/2025: We had a few snacks and coffee. Everything was delicious! Very friendly service. It's a great place to sit and watch the people strolling by.

05/08/2026: So, it's a traditional restaurant, a little old-fashioned but undeniably charming, right in the heart of a very upscale tourist area! Don't let your initial impression of the waiters get to you; they're a bit gruff but have a great sense of humor and genuine customer service skills! The food is excellent and, for the price, not too expensive (pizzas and pasta for us, plus dessert!). Having been to restaurants in Bellagio and Sala Comacina, I paid (much) more for three people (and for comparison: aperitifs, one main course, one dessert, wine, and coffee to finish!). The decor is a bit kitschy (photos of celebrities who've been in the area, taken with the head waiter very much in attendance!), but it definitely has the charm of a classic French bistro! Traditional fare, good service, homemade products, and that Italian charm. It's absolutely delicious! What more could you ask for?

21/04/2026: A special thanks to Gaetano, who with his infinite patience, kindness, and friendliness helped us with everything, from check-in (at 5:00 AM) to parking the car, to assistance on the day of departure. All the staff were kind and helpful. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant (fantastic pizza, even lasagna—what can I say, if it weren't for the distance, I'd have lunch and dinner there every day) and the prices were very reasonable considering the excellent quality of the food. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable. Thank you so much.

14/06/2026: Was invited to lunch here by friends who are regulars. The view over Lake Maggiore from the outside seating is to die for - we enjoyed a cooling breeze under the pergola on a very warm day. Both food and wine were delicious and the service both friendly and professional.

12/07/2026: Excellent location under the mountain, so it's cool even on very hot days. Everything else is very good: home cooking and a menu with both traditional and non-traditional dishes. Very helpful, friendly, and fast staff. In conclusion, go eat there 🍴, you can't go wrong. Enjoy your meal, everyone.

26/05/2026: Personally, I was not happy with the experience. I’ll give you the facts and you decide… The menu is not accurate. Consideration 1 - We tried to order Spaghetti con Vongole and shrimp (there was one more item but I don’t remember what it was). Turns out it’s only clams and the waiter said the other items were listed as a mistake. Ok. Consideration 2 - My child does not care for seafood so they offered pasta with butter or Ragu. We ordered ragu. The waiter came back and said they were out of ragu, so we went with the butter. Consideration 3 - The pasta was served dry with a slab of butter on top. We were charged 18 Euros for the pasta and butter. The Spaghetti alla Vongole was only €4 more. Consideration 4 - Once the waiter took our order, he never came back - not once. We went from ordering to paying at the reservation desk. Consideration 5 - my mother told the waiter she was excited about dessert. She never got a chance to see the dessert menu, assuming there is one. I don’t mind paying for an expensive meal, as long as the value coincides. Also, I almost NEVER leave reviews unless I am inspired by a super bad experience or a super good one.

09/12/2025: Best meal we’ve had while traveling in Italy. Good food, good wine, good atmosphere, and such warm hospitality from the owner and family. We asked for recommendations from the owner, and ordered octopus “alla pignata” for appetizer. Next was amberjack carpaccio. For mains we got “Chitarrine” alla tarantina and Baked fish fillet. The octopus is fresh and tender, tomato base with the basil leaves is so fragrant. Tasting the dish somehow made me feel nostalgic. Amberjack carpaccio is also fresh and pairs surprisingly well with the red pepper and olive oil. Baked fish amberjack fillet was an aromatic treat. The meat was fresh and flavorful, and pairs nicely with the potatoes and vegetables. The “Chitarrine” alla tarantina was also very delicious, with the pasta cooked perfectly and the mussels fresh and flavorful as well. Overall it was an incredible meal, and we left wondering why it does not have at least a Michelin recommendation. Thank you for an unforgettable dinner.

12/05/2026: Intrigued by the always-full parking lot, we decided to try it. The result was good: a tasty pizza with a light and distinctive crust. The service and attention were excellent. The dessert was very good, but the coffee was a little less so. The place is quite noisy. We'll be back to try the food. Suitable for everyone...if there's a couple of you, you don't need to book, but I might call.
