26/09/2025: We passed by on July 23rd: we had booked a refuge, but along the trail a family recommended we stop here for the quality of the food. I can 100% confirm that the food is excellent: the tiramisu, in particular, is among the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Highly recommended! A place to return to not only for the food, but also for the scenery and the warm welcome from the owners.

16/02/2026: I'm not used to leaving reviews, but in this case, I hope my words can be a constructive stimulus for the restaurant to improve. I'm forced to give only one star for customer service. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, as the evening was so compromised that I couldn't fully enjoy the dining experience. I had booked a table for my wife and I via WhatsApp (the only available channel other than phone calls) for our anniversary. The reservation was promptly confirmed via chat by the staff. On the evening of dinner, we showed up at the restaurant enthusiastically, ready to enjoy a special moment. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the bartender, who asked us the name of the reservation. She checked the list but found nothing. A second staff member intervened, also unable to find our name among the reservations. Finally, a third man shows up, who I assume was the restaurant manager. After retrieving the chat from the restaurant's phone, he admits the mistake: the reservation had been confirmed but not listed. He apologizes, taking responsibility for what happened, and offers us two glasses of champagne. However, with the restaurant fully booked, the only "solution" offered was to sit at a table in the bar area. If it had been up to me, I would have preferred to leave and call it a night. My wife, eager to try their cuisine and almost disappointed by what had happened, instead chose to stay. The so-called "bar table" is not located in the restaurant, but in a small waiting area separated from the main space, next to the entrance. A passageway, exposed to the constant coming and going of customers, cold and uninviting, where the staff answers the phone and handles payments. A setting that has nothing to do with the atmosphere that should accompany the culinary experience conceived and conceived by the chefs. And this, in my opinion, is where the gravest mistake lies: considering a setting adequate, but in fact distorted the experience, completely decontextualizing it from the dining room and the restaurant's identity. A gastronomic experience isn't just about the food, but also about the ambiance, care, and customer service. One final observation: we were the only table that, when it came time to get the bill, paid directly to a waiter and not the head waiter. Perhaps a coincidence, but that final gesture of attentiveness was also missing—a simple question about how the evening had gone—perhaps it would have embarrassed him too much. For the sake of completeness: except for the two initial glasses of "apology," no discount was offered for the inconvenience. I write this review with regret, because all the makings for a wonderful evening were there. For this very reason, I hope that what happened can serve as food for thought for a more attentive and respectful approach to managing guests' special occasions.

06/03/2026: A truly interesting place, with a winter garden that makes the dining room feel more airy. The food is very fresh, and the spaghetti with sea urchins is worth the trip. Contemporary Sardinian cuisine and a selection of wines and spirits perfectly suited to the pampered Milanese clientele. A special mention goes to the mandarin and Campari sorbet, which restores all the key digestive functions. Must try! The bill is reasonable.

28/02/2026: Hi. We had lunch today for my 94-year-old aunt's birthday. Excellent, friendly welcome. The place is very cute and welcoming. The fish was excellent. The raw fish we ordered was really fresh. Everything else was top-notch. The prices are reasonable and obviously depend on what you order. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back. 08/02/2026: The service was very fast and courteous, and the menu was quite varied: seafood, meat, and traditional Milanese dishes. I tried the truffle eggs and the pork fillet with port wine and potatoes. The dishes were average, I'd say, as were the prices. I didn't particularly like the dessert I chose. The atmosphere was a bit too old-fashioned.

13/11/2025: This is our third time eating here this year. But unfortunately, we weren't as satisfied as before; what a shame... My wife was happy with the fish dish, and the pizzas seem to be popular with other guests. But my porcini mushroom pasta dish was a real disappointment in its sticky sauce. And the Caprese appetizer was even worse: tasteless, unripe tomatoes, no flavor at all, two small basil leaves, olive oil, no breadsticks... A restaurant with huge quality fluctuations?

08/03/2026: Stayed with family over the weekend of March 6-8. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming: the common areas were just a bit "lived in," yet well-maintained and clean. The room was cozy and spacious: a comfortable bed, an excellent and manageable temperature, and amenities beyond our expectations. The location was perfect: right on the edge of the pedestrian area. The restaurant is fantastic, and after our first dinner, we never changed because of the authentic and balanced flavor (tagliatelle with meat sauce, ossobuco with polenta, a welcome appetizer, and complimentary limoncello). It's clear that the entire team has put in a lot of care, professionalism, and grace. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dried fruit and cereals, and on Sundays, cakes galore. You can tell when someone loves their job. If I were to return to Varese 100 times, I'd always stay at the Hotel Bologna.

15/01/2026: We both ordered mushroom rigatoni and water. The food itself was delicious and we were satisfied with the flavor. However, although this was entirely through no fault of the restaurant, the Japanese customers sitting next to us were talking quite loudly, and to be honest, their conversations were not very pleasant, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal. I would have liked to savor my meal at my own pace, but my desire to get out of the space got the better of me, so I ate my meal very quickly and asked for the bill. Later, I regret not asking the waiter to move me so I could enjoy my meal more slowly. It seemed like this restaurant was popular with Japanese expatriates in Milan. Therefore, Japanese tourists looking for a Milanese atmosphere and local feel may find it disappointing. Taking this into consideration, I gave it a three-star rating based on my personal experience.

29/11/2025: Absolutely delicious! Especially the stir-fried spaghetti with mullet roe and shrimp, the mullet roe added a sweet flavor, and the steak was cooked to perfection—so tender! The accompanying red wine was delicious and inexpensive! Thumbs up!

24/01/2026: Il Corsaro Pizzeria Ristorante (Bovezzo) is a lovely discovery, and it's immediately obvious: Manuela, the owner, gives the place a distinct character, characterized by genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and a direct yet always pleasant approach. You can sense the presence of the management: attentive service, well-timed meals, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel good from start to finish. We had a full dinner: pizza, beers, and dessert, and we left truly satisfied. Well-made and tasty pizzas, spot-on beers, and desserts round out the evening perfectly. A simple yet refined place, where you eat well and feel at ease. A special mention also goes to the young, friendly, and helpful waitress, who contributes to the evening's positive atmosphere. We'll gladly return.

30/03/2026: We ate here on our first evening in Milan after arriving. It's a great little Italian restaurant. We were greeted with a small glass of Prosecco. The pizza was absolutely delicious. The tiramisu for dessert was the best we've ever had in Italy 🤩 And all at very reasonable prices.

29/03/2026: The food was delicious, and the service was excellent from the start, so I really enjoyed the meal. However, at the end, they pressured me for a tip, and when I said I wouldn't, they threw the receipt at me. I was upset at the end. The portion size and taste are good.

31/12/2025: I spent a Christmas dinner with friends in a room reserved just for us, with excellent food, wines, service, ambiance, music, smiling waiters, available to take souvenir photos, without the rush to send us out for a second sitting, as unfortunately happens in many restaurants in Milan these days. A fantastic 15th-century location, expertly renovated, leaving the antique elements visible and decorating the large garden. Ample free parking is available. Top!

The food was excellent, carefully prepared, and enjoyed by all our guests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a special occasion like this. 19/03/2026: The atmosphere is certainly not memorable, and it's chaotic during lunch (though in the summer you can sit outside). But finding a place in Milan with such a good quality-price ratio is extremely difficult. Tasty dishes, excellent pizza. Very fast and courteous service.

23/02/2026: Nice quaint place. Great service, attentive and friendly. The bread is either olive or peperoncino and is delicious! I had the spaghetti and clams without the peperoncini. It was ok. Nothing spectacular but good. Prices decent.

31/01/2026: The bread was excellent, homemade, and truly delicious. We also really enjoyed the house wine. The risotto was excellent, one of the best dishes: creamy and flavorful. The veal Milanese (“elephant ear”) was good, but not particularly impressive for my taste. That said, the ossobuco was very good, and the dessert was truly excellent. Overall, excellent value, a pleasant and well-kept place. A place I would gladly return to. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
