We've been coming to Da Franco's any time we've been to Bergamo over the last 20 years and some of the staff have been present all this time. The food has been consistently delicious and well presented, the staff are all friendly and helpful. Like most restaurants here they specialise in the Bergamasc dishes - casoncelli and braised beef or rabbit with polenta taragna but there are plenty of other choices and the usual long pizza menu. Wine is available by the bottle or half-bottle but look for the house wine - red or white - sold by the litre or half litre carafe. It's quite hidden in the middle of the menu booklet. The white is lightly frizzante and slightly sweetish but goes really well with the food.

Today we visited this restaurant in Bergamo and it was an excellent experience. The food was delicious. Furthermore, the service was impeccable; we were served by a super friendly young man who, despite being a bit of a handful because he didn't understand the language perfectly, was always willing to help us. I would definitely recommend it.

A lovely little place in the center of Bergamo Alta. Despite the crowds, service was really fast, and the waiters were kind and accommodating. The food was good; we chose the €25 menu per person, which includes a first course, a second course, and coffee. Highly recommended; reservations are recommended given the large crowd.

It's definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for a place to relax. We only had pizza here, but it was delicious. Prices range from 5.50 euros for a margarita to around 12 euros for more sophisticated flavors, and a beer is around 5.50 euros. It has a pleasant atmosphere in a corner of the main street, where you can hear the surrounding city and observe the surroundings. I recommend it if you want to eat pizza and drink an Aperol :)
