27/04/2025: Unfortunately the meal was not the best, in particular the pappardelle was very bland and not a nice texture. We were also sat in the back where it was quite hot and no atmosphere. The waiter (I think he was the son) was lovely though

23/04/2025: stayed nearby and walked over, loved the picture menu book and that the owner was so involved even serving tables and personally recommending dishes and wines for us. the pasta i got (taladei) was incredible! would definitely return and recommend. our server (didn’t catch his name but had a lot of tattoos) was great and very helpful also.

23/04/2025: Explanation of the 3 stars compared to 4 star food, service and ambience ratings. Here it is. Cover charge: 5 euros per person. Liter of water: 5 euros. Too much come on. Even considering the area, not exactly central. For heaven's sake, as soon as you sit down you'll immediately have an entree with vegetables (lots of onions though, be careful!). And dessert is offered, it is a small sample of chocolate fondue with fruit to dip, two pieces of brownies and two glasses of sorbet. In short, it is clear that the story of the bistro is: I make you pay a lot for the cover charge but in the meantime I offer you two cuddles, one at the beginning and one at the end of the meal. The bill is 60 euros per person, with sausage crouton, two meat dishes and three glasses of wine (the cheapest costs 10 euros). Good meat quality, nothing to say. The environment is not bad and the service is kind and I must say never invasive. But in short, 5 euros for cover charge and 5 euros for water. Cuddle or no cuddle, a bit excessive. It's true that without the toast and one less glass it becomes 45 euros per person. So all in all the advice is: worth trying, but limiting yourself to one dish each, since the starter - albeit small in size - and dessert - I would say plentiful - are already included in the cover price.

20/04/2025: Restaurant located in the historic center of Varese, right in the pedestrian area, finding street parking in this area is quite difficult, if you're in a hurry, it's better to immediately look for paid parking. Personally I really appreciate the trio of risottos with many varied proposals. Practically a single dish, difficult to eat anything other than an appetizer and possibly dessert. Average costs and consistent with the quality offered. The same waiters for years and good. On weekends you have to book a few days in advance, they work in shifts. Good desserts, special bitters

04/11/2024: Excellent meal which started with small pepper strudels as appetizers. We continued with a little Parma ham and burrata as an aperitif accompanied by fried gnocchi to allow us to taste our Gewurztraminer wine. We were then knocked out by the Risotto alla Milanese, a plate that was as hearty as it was delicious. No more room for dessert, which would surely have matched the rest of the meal. To do and to do again!

22/04/2025: Direi ottima esperienza. Sono finalmente riuscito a fermarmi dopo un sacco di volte che „avrei voluto“ ma non ho potuto… ho preso il „classico“ risotto con il persico che qui chiamano „persicotto“ e devo dire che ha soddisfatto le aspettative. Mi aspettavo (sbagliando) un posto più „ruspante“ e invece si tratta di un ristorante di livello „medio alto“ con prezzi „consequenti“… insomma se avessi speso meno sarebbe andato anche meglio ma non ci si può lamentare. Sulla terrazza la vista è stupenda e ripaga quegli „euri“ in più che si pagano. Essendo venuto in un giorno infrasettimanale ho trovato facilmente parcheggio e ho anche potuto usare la presa per ricaricare l‘auto elettrica. Insomma „siamo al top“ ;-)

09/03/2025: Me ne aveva parlato un'amica e, malgrado la vicinanza a casa, non lo conoscevamo. In un attimo prenotazione via wathsapp qualche ora prima e risposta tempestiva positiva. Il parcheggio è comodo, il locale direi minimalista, molto accogliente, e per nulla rumoroso. Il servizio è stato rapido, il personale gentilissimo. Pizze (una siciliana e una trevigiana) davvero ottime, a cominciare dall'impasto. Un poco più caro forse rispetto allo standard in zona, ma nulla di che e poi la classe paga. Alla fine piccolo omaggio alle donne data la serata. In una prossima occasione ci regaleremo una delle pizze 'premiate' che aprono il menu, crediamo proprio ne valga la pena.
