The food was excellent, but damn it, they charged us €3 for a cover charge for my 7-month-old baby, who didn't eat anything because he's still eating the baby food I brought from home. They forced me to ask for a high chair because you can't bring a stroller into the dining room... and then you made me pay for the high chair rental?!?!? It's truly absurd. They're making money off everything!!! I'm sorry, but we'll hardly be visiting you again.

30/03/2026: I discovered this pizzeria thanks to a friend, and what can I say? The pizza is excellent. The owner is very kind and welcoming. You can also eat in because the pizzeria has a few tables available. I also recommend it for those who, like me, are lactose-allergic; they have lactose-free ingredients. Really top-notch. I recommend it.

06/04/2026: My family arrived in Milano late on a Saturday night. We searched around our hotel to find a place to eat. We found Little Italy, and while they were packed, they fit us in (inside, they said specifically because of our little one.) We ordered a few different pasta dishes, a pizza, drinks, and dessert (to go.) The pizza, thick, soft, and delicious. The pasta, freshly made, and again.. delicious. It was the only restaurant throughout the various cities we visited in Italy that made their own pasta. My daughter had a mission to try as many carbonaras as she could, and at the end of our roadtrip through Italy, she said that the carbonara at Little Italy in Milano was still the best. I agree! And the even the cannolis that we got, were fantastic. All of the staff were friendly, service was quick. Totally recommend this place if you’re ever in the area! Grazie 🫶

05/04/2026: A pizzeria slightly off the beaten path from the Corso Buenos Aires strip; one of the best pizzas by the slice anywhere, with meat and fish dishes to suit all tastes. We've been coming here for years, especially in the summer, and the front desk staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. Reservations are highly recommended.

15/12/2025: Quality! I visited this restaurant at the invitation of friends. I can only say it was a wonderful evening. I ordered the sole, and the waiter brought it to the table, cleaning it in front of us with great graciousness. A simple, yet delicious dish. To finish the meal, I ordered a persimmon. I was brought a majestic fruit, plump and sweet, sliced ​​and topped with ice cream. A magnificent experience. Thank you!!

The atmosphere is elegant, with pleasant background music. The service was attentive and friendly. The highlight is the food. Truly delicious. We tried the house carbonara, and I absolutely recommend it; it was delicious. For the kids, we had the cutlet. They ate it all, so I'd say that's a good one too. I'd gladly return. Recommended.

The last time I crossed these thresholds, they were thirty years younger, I was thirty years younger, and spring exploded with a gentle violence that enveloped everything: the trees along the lake, the still-fresh Ceresio air, and that springtime femininity blossoming in the glances, the smiles, the unfulfilled promises of youth. Returning today is an act of courage or nostalgia—perhaps both. Osteno is still there, overlooking Lake Lugano like a silent sentinel, beyond time and fashion. And Il Pinguino endures, true to itself. The Restaurant Nothing has changed, or perhaps everything. The walls, the tables, the smell of real cooking wafting from the dining room. The pizza I order it. It arrives steaming hot, with that puffy, irregular crust that only a wood-fired oven can provide. The return I look out, toward the lake. Spring is no longer what it was back then—or maybe I just don't see it the same way anymore. Nature's blossoming is still there, stubborn, punctual. But that feminine quality that had bewitched me thirty years ago now lives elsewhere, in other gazes, in other lives. The Penguin remains. Osteno remains. The certainty that some places never betray us remains, even when we ourselves change. Recommended? Yes. For those seeking authenticity, for those who want to return, for those who know that certain places should be visited at least twice in a lifetime: once when young, once when not so young. 08/03/2026: We found it by chance, and the only downside is that we didn't know about it beforehand. It has a homey, old-fashioned atmosphere, few frills, and transparent prices. We ordered three menus and spent €39. Not only do I recommend the place, but I hope the honesty and dedication of the owners, who in 2026 are providing families with meals at fair prices, will be rewarded with positive publicity!

Toto is truly the best waiter—extremely attentive, professional, and always making sure everything is perfect. His friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out and made every moment enjoyable. Ervin, the bartender, is also fantastic. Not only is he very kind and welcoming, but he also makes amazing drinks. His tiramisu cocktail is absolutely outstanding—honestly even better than an espresso martini! It’s a must-try. Both Toto and Ervin go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and appreciated. Their kindness and dedication made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!
