31/07/2024: We ate a super aperitif in this historic restaurant in the center of Spezia with excellent, plentiful starters. About ten exquisite appetizers accompanied by hot focaccia. The spritz and desserts are excellent. I recommend the classic tiramisu. The staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it.

21/08/2024: total disappointment, we looked at the reviews and thought we were going without fail but we found nothing of what we saw on google or tripadvisor, prices absolutely out of line for the quantity and quality of the food, 2 risottos arrived COLD after 40min, fresh tuna on the calamarata it wasn't fresh but probably from a jar, pasta with clams with 6 clams counted, the only positive note was the dense mixture. ordered coffee and bitters.....two half portions of bitters arrived, practically a sewing thimble instead of a glass. 4 first courses 2 seconds 1 bottle of wine 1 coffee 2 bitters 159 euros I don't think it's adequate for what we ate

21/08/2024: delusione totale, abbiamo guardato le recensioni e pensavamo di andare a colpo sicuro invece non abbiamo trovato nulla di quanto visto su google o tripadvisor, prezzi assolutamente non in linea per quantità e qualità del cibo, 2 risotti arrivati dopo 40min FREDDI e praticamente i crostacei erano spariti, forse talmente freschi da essere scappati in mare, tonno fresco sulla calamarata non era fresco come scritto sul menù ma probabilmente di vasetto, pasta con le vongole con 6 vongole contate, unica nota positiva il fitto misto. ordinati caffè e amari.....arrivati due mezze porzioni di amaro, praticamente un ditale da cucito al posto del bicchiere. 4 primi 2 secondi 1 bottiglia di vino 1 caffè 2 amari 159euro ma soprattutto avete cambiato cuoco da una settimana????

14/07/2024: Really bad experience. The waitress didn't even say hi or welcome us we where 6 , they left our table unattended several times, no water was served , we recived food without plates to eat in. No one never asked if we wanted more water or wine. We ordered food it took a while, between 25 and 30minutes, we finish the rissoto first and some of us had to hand the plates to the waitress, other plates where left behind , then we where especting 3 more plates and one waitress came to ask for dessert and cofee, very disapointing, at this point we got up to pay. No one asked if where okay or how was the food the hole time in the restaurant. The manager didn't ask why did we got up to pay and why we were mad about, he just removed the items we didn't recived, and proceed to take the payment no questions asked. I work in the industry so I know how the service should be done , untrained waitress and terrible management of service. Not recomended place to go, the food was good but absolutely not enojoyable with this kind of service.

14/07/2024: Terrible experience. Red flags since the moment we rocked up. We politely waited at the entrance just outside the fenced alfresco, where a waitress was waiting for us without a smile, without greeting nor asking whether we needed help. General confusion on whether we had a reservation or where we were sitting since nobody asked anything except the number of people. Once sat, service was quite prompt. We ordered Risotto to start with, but were recommended to start with Antipasti since wait on Primi was around 30 minutes. We followed the recommendation, nevertheless we had to ask for our Starters after 20 minutes. While waiting bread was served but no bread nor shared plates were given, thus we had to place it straight up on the tablecloth. Our table was cleared while there was still food on the shared plates. My plate was left behind and I handed it over once they served me the Risotto. We asked for the wine list for ordering more wine, however nobody came for ordering more. Meanwhile we had finished our Primi. Water ran out too and nobody asked for more. We were waiting for the tuna to come out but the only thing offered was desserts menus and coffees. At this stage we decided to leave. I went to pay and I was told that they were preparing the tuna to which I replied they could cancel it since we were offered desserts and coffee. The person who collected the payment didn't seem bothered since he voided the two items and proceeded to collect the payments without asking any questions. Within the all experience we received no smiles, no questions about how everything was going, whether we were finished, whether we needed anything. I hope this helps you get better, but never had I ever to leave a restaurant before finishing my meal. Experience beyond embarrassing. Terrible experience. From the moment we arrived. We kindly stopped to wait for someone to help us and the waitress stood there waiting for us to advance without a smile or a greeting. Confusion about where we were supposed to sit, as we weren't asked anything apart from the number of people. Very quick to come and take the order. We immediately ordered first courses and then some second courses, but we were advised to order starters given that the waiting time for first courses was around 30 minutes. However, we had to ask where the starters were, because after 20 minutes nothing had arrived yet. In the meantime, some bread had been served which we had to place on the tablecloth as no saucer was brought. The appetizers were cleared while there was still food without asking if we were finished, leaving some dishes behind and cleaning up in more time. My saucer was still there when the risotto arrived, I had to hand it to the waitress. Once we finished the wine we asked for the wine list, but no one came to ask if we wanted to order. The water also ran out. As soon as they cleared away the first courses, we were waiting for the second courses but instead we were offered the dessert menu and coffees, instead of water or wine. At that point we decided to leave. The person who helped us with the payment did not seem interested in the matter as after clearing the dishes on order he took the payment without asking any questions. In all this, no smiles from the staff, no questions about getting rid of it, none about the food. Embarrassing service. I have never gotten up and left a restaurant before I finished eating. I hope it can help you do better.

21/07/2024: Had lunch in the beautiful square adjacent to the restaurant, in the shade: excellent quality food, perhaps slightly small portions but the location and the kindness of the staff more than make up for this small shortcoming. Unlike other places in Portovenere, it does not have tables in the middle of the street but in a more secluded area, a note of merit!

03/09/2024: Bar in der man gewesen sein muss. Die Drinks sind gut, es gibt eine sehr große Weinauswahl und die zugereichten kleinen Häppchen sind einfach genial. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Personal ist freundlich und nett.

31/08/2024: Tolle kleine Bar und Vinothek deren Besuch man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Gute Drinks und ein Treffpunkt an dem sich alles trifft.

17/08/2024: Ci siamo concessi una giornata di mare a Levanto, posto per noi nuovo. Alla ricerca di un ristorante per pranzo, non ne abbiamo trovati molti, questo ci sembrava il più carino. Ci piacevano i tavoli all'aperto ma coperti da tendone e all'ombra. Decidiamo di ordinare alla carta anche se il cameriere ci propone un menù di 65 euro cadauno NON CONDIVISIBILE CI HA SOTTOLINEATO (bevande escluse...). Prendiamo un antipasto di mare (da ben 25 euro, li varrà?) da dividere in due, ci aspettiamo qualcosa di sostanzioso, vi posto la foto.... (in sostanza il piatto consisteva di BEN 2 cozze, qualche acciuga, un totano a fettine, qualche gamberetto e una specie di tortina. Diciamo partenza pessima. Speriamo di rifarci col secondo, fritto di mare, altri 20 euro per piatto, anche di questo vi posto la foto (a voi i commenti). Inoltre 2 calici di vino e una bottiglia d'acqua. Ovviamente ben ci guardiamo dall' ordinare dolce e caffe. Totale: 80 euro.

25/07/2024: Delicious dishes, cozy atmosphere, prompt service. It's always a good sign when next to your table sits a local priest or other local notabilities. The wine selection is reasonably priced.
