20/06/2026: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: A fantastic family-run trattoria that's only open during the summer. The chef (the owners' daughter) serves traditional Ligurian cuisine with a few innovative twists. The location is fantastic, atop Monte Marcello. The wines from local producers in Lunigiana and Liguria are also fantastic. Reservations are recommended, and parking is available nearby.

02/06/2026: Beautiful location right on the waterfront, nice touch they give u a prosecco when you sit down. Food was super, fresh fish, perfectly prepared..we enjoyed it so much we booked a table for another night before we left!

07/08/2026: We had such a good meal! We asked for recommendations, because the pizza menu is extensive! The pizza chef recommended pizzas to us and they were delicious! The tiramisu was very flavorful and a great way to finish! Friendly and nice staff!

06/08/2026: We went there spontaneously. Since there were two tables free, we were seated immediately. The service was very friendly. The lady also speaks English, the young man Spanish and French, and also some English. So they were able to communicate, which is why I don't understand some of the comments here. The pizza is large and significantly cheaper than in Germany (at least in our region, you pay twice as much). The salad is a normal size and about the same price as in Germany (and even artichokes taste good in Italy 😅). I can also recommend the dessert. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. You sit at small tables outside in a lovely Italian alley. Alternatively, there are seats inside. The server even came to the table a second time to ask if everything was okay. That was the first time that had happened here. In other restaurants, you're left high and dry after your first drink. This is very commendable. Even after closing time, more guests arrived and were served. You just don't find that in Germany. I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Brugnato.

19/05/2026: If you are staying in Monterosso or even traveling to Cinque Terre, Il Casello is a must visit! We stopped here the first night and were lucky enough to get a table outside without a reservation (definitely call ahead if you can). We were promptly greeted by friendly servers and sat with a spectacular view. Great selection of wine and food. The first night we had the stuffed mussels and then the gnocchi and local fish with lemon sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! Finished with their house made tiramisu which was spectacular. One of the owners, Jennifer, was so great and made sure that everything was perfect. We came back on our last night because we loved it so much. We had the award wining stuffed anchovies (highly recommend!!) and the octopus ragu pasta and the seafood spaghetti. Again, everything was terrific. You cannot beat the service, the view, and the food. Cannot recommend this place enough! We cannot wait to come back once we are able to visit Cinque Terre again. Thank you Jennifer!

12/03/2026: We had dinner 2 times out of 4 nights stay. The grilled seabass was my favourite dish. Had seafood risotto and seafood spaghetti both were also very fresh and yummy.

30/05/2026: If you want to eat truly delicious Italian pizza, go to Pepe Nero! The pizzas are original, there's a huge selection, and the crust is perfect: neither too thick nor too thin. Finally, pizzas where the crust doesn't take up half the plate! Special mention also goes to the large terrace: despite the crowds, there's often a table available. A very good place to eat.
