11/11/2025: Dinner with friends to celebrate the summer holidays with a good pizza 🍕 and a toast with a good fresh beer 🍺 the pizza was very good, the service good and the prices are fair.

09/11/2025: There was hair in the salad, and all the vegetables were stale! The onions were rotten, the pizza was like play dough. The staff in the kitchen and in the dining room were constantly arguing. No wonder their food is so disgusting. I don't recommend it!

11/10/2025: Fantastic Stay at Grand Hotel Portovenere! 🌊 I've just had the most magical 3-night stay at the Grand Hotel Portovenere, and I'm already dreaming of going back! This place is an absolute gem, set in a beautifully restored 17th-century convent right on the water's edge. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and passion for the region truly made our trip special. The food was a highlight every single day. Dining at the Palmaria Restaurant with its stunning panoramic terrace views was an experience in itself. The cuisine was innovative, fresh, and absolutely delicious—a perfect taste of Liguria! Waking up to the view of the colorful harbor and Palmaria Island from our balcony was unforgettable. The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of charming Portovenere and with the ferry to the Cinque Terre literally at your doorstep. If you're looking for a luxurious, romantic, and utterly satisfying escape, look no further. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

14/08/2025: An amazing vacation; calling it a hotel is an understatement given the many activities available thanks to the concierge's invaluable advice. We tried the sunset boat excursion with aperitif and an exclusive boat tour of the Cinque Terre. Needless to say, the location is fantastic for visiting the center and the famous church of San Pietro. Close to excellent restaurants, including the Grand Hotel's own: the Palmaria restaurant. The friendly, helpful staff helped make those days and our stay at the Grand Hotel itself a special memory...thanks again!

12/11/2025: Delicious food, great service and a lovely atmosphere - calm, unrushed and casual, exactly what we were looking for at lunch. The pistachio semifreddo deserves a special mention - one of the best desserts I've ever tried! - as does the sciachetrá with cantucci. Highly recommended

The atmosphere is simply dreamy: candlelight, white tablecloths, soft music, and in summer, dinner under the fig tree – it couldn't be more romantic. The staff is exceptionally warm and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately feel welcome and cared for. A particularly lovely touch: the daily changing menu is lovingly handwritten, and the hosts are happy to help with the translation and selection. A truly soulful restaurant that you'll never forget. 20/11/2025: Couples' birthday dinner, unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it. Rushed and inattentive service. We discovered there was a set menu when they presented us with the bill. There was no menu; the dishes were listed verbally and hastily. It was supposed to be a romantic dinner, but we felt like we were eating in a cafeteria. They had a large table, but that shouldn't affect the quality of the food or the service of other paying customers. Quite expensive, and the food wasn't memorable.

09/09/2025: Honestly, we had booked at another restaurant, but due to our delay, our table was given to someone else. Fair enough, no fuss, in fact, thank you! We discovered this place, seemingly anonymous from abroad but welcoming, intimate, and elegant inside, specifically in the courtyard. Indeed, upon entering, we find a hallway with the cash register, the restrooms (clean and tidy), the kitchen, and then the restaurant area with a beautiful, well-kept, and quiet internal courtyard. The dishes are well-presented and flavorful. Excellent wine selection. Coffee in the Moka pot at the table. Attentive service. Prices in line with the aforementioned setting. Recommended.

07/09/2025: The best restaurant in Sarzana, without a doubt. The location is very pleasant, with the added bonus of dining in a lovely garden. All the staff are very welcoming, and customers are well looked after. In addition to the well-designed menu, this restaurant strives to ensure customers receive only the highest quality, freshest ingredients. For this reason, the prices are completely in line with the offerings. Ottone I was a truly wonderful discovery. Kudos to the entire staff, keep up the good work!
