We arrived without a reservation on our return to Venice. We knew the place and wanted to return, hoping for luck at finding a table and bringing our friends... Very kind lady. Fast and helpful service... Excellent food... homemade... The tortellini in broth... the trio of first courses... you can tell everything is homemade... from the pasta to the sauce... the lamb and the beef steak were superb (finally meat that tastes like meat... super flavorful). We also took home the pesto they made because it was excellent... thank you so much for your kindness. A big hug and see you soon 💪💪

La Scaletta is a classic, historic trattoria that never disappoints: authentic cuisine, quality ingredients, and a wealth of tradition in its dishes.
The portions are generous and the preparation is meticulous. The pesto is truly excellent, the tortelli al ragù are fantastic, and the main courses are also top-notch, always well-executed and flavorful.
The atmosphere is typical of a trattoria, simple and welcoming, perfect for those seeking the flavors of yesteryear.
The only slightly less positive aspect is the price, which has increased in recent years on several dishes. It's still a good place, however, and the food is very good.
Overall, a great experience, definitely recommended.

Today we came to this trattoria after a visit to the nearby military base.
Even though we didn't have a reservation, the staff welcomed us and found us a seat.
We had an appetizer with all the typical local dishes, followed by lamb, which was delicious, if a little bland.
And finally, I had a lemon sorbet 🍋, hard as a rock.
At the end of the meal, we received the bill, which was super reasonable.
IF WE ARE IN THE CITY AGAIN, WE WILL RETURN!

Ample parking, the restaurant is divided into several small rooms, all packed with diners, but since the service is fast, we were able to enjoy delicious lamb ribs with baked potatoes, an appetizer of excellent cured meats, and three exceptional desserts. Half a glass of white wine and water. Really reasonable price. Highly recommended. ++++

I used to frequent this trattoria for business lunches with the classic set menu: simple but good food and fair prices.
What I didn't like, however, was that, returning to work with my family, I found myself paying much more for the exact same dishes. Plus, the prices still vary on holidays.
I understand the difference between a business menu and regular service, but when the food is the same and the price difference isn't clearly explained, it's a bit perplexing.
It's a shame, because the quality isn't bad, but it feels like the price depends more on when you go than on what you actually eat.

Found it by chance. There were 8 of us and the food was excellent. We'd love to return. The pesto was exceptional.
