04/05/2025: Nuova gestione per questo ristorante affacciato sul mare di Portovenere, sul canale che separa il borgo dall’isola di Palmaria. Ambiente curato sia nell’arredo che nelle luci. Eravamo in tre e abbiamo mangiato un ottimo risotto alla pescatore (due porzioni… peccato questa abitudine che sta prevalendo che è possibile ordinarlo solo per almeno due persone!). Davvero ricco e ben cucinato. Una porzione di alici marinate. Una porzione più che abbondante (infatti ci siamo fatti portare un piatto e l’ho diviso con mia moglie) dí pescato del giorno all’isolana (olive, patate e pomodorini), una cotoletta alla milanese (enorme, con patate di contorno), tre caffè, due liquori, due bottiglie d’acqua, tutto annaffiato con una bottiglia di vino delle Cinque Terre Sassarini, servito in cestello con ghiaccio! Prezzo finale (direi onesto, considerando qualità e abbondanza): 172€! Ci torneremo di sicuro e, se continuerà così, il Ristorante Iseo rientrerà tra i nostri preferiti!

27/05/2025: Entrare a La Lucerna di Ferro è come immergersi in una sinfonia gastronomica dove ogni piatto è una nota che vibra dolcemente nell’aria, accompagnando la cena con grazia e intensità. Qui la cucina non si limita a soddisfare il palato: racconta, emoziona, avvolge. Si inizia con gli antipasti, un vero e proprio omaggio alla tradizione Ligure-Toscana. Ogni assaggio è un’eco autentica del territorio, capace di evocare storie di confine, di colline che scendono al mare e di ricette custodite nel tempo. È un inizio che accarezza, preparando il palato con eleganza e calore. Il primo piatto è una vera rivelazione: gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare sono eseguiti con maestria, in un equilibrio perfetto tra la sapidità del mare e la delicatezza della pasta al dente. I secondi di pesce sono la degna prosecuzione di questo concerto di sapori: piatti curati, intensi, cotti con precisione e rispetto per la materia prima. Il pesce è protagonista assoluto, raccontato con passione e servito in composizioni che uniscono semplicità e raffinatezza. La Lucerna di Ferro è un’esperienza che va oltre il pasto: è una serata accompagnata da sapori che suonano insieme, in perfetta armonia. 27/05/2025: Che dire un ottimo ristorante, ben curato, personale gentile e preparato ad ogni esigenza e pronto a consigliarti. Partendo dall'antipasto al dolce e una goduria per il palato. Piatti curati e ben presentati la qualità del cibo è ottimo e freschi.

14/05/2025: I still remember the bread with butter, anchovies and a slice of lime now after 4 years (from August 13, 2021). One of the best foods I've ever eaten.

08/04/2025: Attention: the phone number does not exist, on Google it was open but we went to the restaurant on the evening of 3/4/2025 and the tables were overturned, the restaurant was closed and without notices of reopening. We're sorry because after reading the reviews it was our first choice. Let's hope we're wrong, but he didn't seem willing to reopen anytime soon.

22/04/2025: Un luogo dove il tempo sembra rallentare, dove ogni gesto ha il sapore di casa. Cucina ottima, curata, leggera, tipica. I piatti raccontano una storia, ma a colpirmi è stata soprattutto l’attenzione sincera con cui sono stato accolto. Dopo un intervento importante, certe piccole cose diventano grandi. Qui, ogni piccolo gesto è stato un dono.

05/05/2025: Poor service and obscene environment. I went to eat there with a group of tourists and I was lucky that the food was good, because otherwise nothing would have been saved. They put us outside, practically on the street, sitting on a slope on bar chairs, under very dirty curtains that didn't even cover the entire table... and then moved us inside in case of rain, where however there wasn't room for everyone... In fact, some literally got caught in the rain. This only happened because they accepted far more people than necessary, more than they could pamper. So I can't say how they thought about it, because either they're greedy or they're stupid.

12/04/2025: Very good little family restaurant. The pizzas are good as are the à la carte dishes. Fair price. When adding, no additional tax or extra for cutlery.

27/02/2025: Il locale è in un punto di passaggio, ma rimane un pochino nascosto la sera perché poco evidenziato da insegne luminose. I parcheggi sono pubblici, ma facilmente reperibili. Il locale è informale, pulito, diviso in due sezioni. Il personale è gentile e disponibile e veloce. Ieri sera è stata la prima volta che sono andata, insieme alla famiglia, e devo dire che i prezzi sono molto più che onesti e assolutamente ottimi in rapporto qualità prezzo. I salumi e i formaggi molli freschi e di qualità apprezzabile. Io ho assaggiato il menù di primo + secondo + contorno + dolce a €15,00 e l'ho trovato molto di mio gradimento. Consigliato.

14/02/2025: Ottimi panigacci sia con gli affettati che con le verdure, personale gentilissimo. Consiglio di prenotare con ampio anticipo per il fine settimana, nessun problema per i giorni infrasettimanali.

19/04/2025: Incredible hosts! I don't write reviews unless something is beyond exceptional and I felt The Grand Hotel Portovenere was one of my best hotel experiences (and I have stayed at over 200 hotels) and deserved to be acknowledged! My friend booked the hotel for three nights and we shared a room. The price of the hotel was more than I would usually pay and even though the room was not very big, it was simple, elegant and comfortable. However, The service from ALL staff was beyond anything I have every experienced (even at the Four Seasons hotels). From the front desk staff to the restaurant manager and severs, house keeping and maintenance, and general manager, EVERY SINGLE one of them went out of their way to create a magical experience where we felt taken care of. It was more than people doing their job and "trying" to be good hosts. It was the very nature of the individuals, so kind and genuinely excited to be of service. Small examples: At dinner, the waiter suggested wine and when we hesitated, he brought out 4 different bottles for us to taste before deciding and was delighted to do it. We had a small issue with noise from a storm our first night (not the hotel's fault) but the restaurant manager must have been informed because we were treated to a drink and dessert. That night the wind was still insane and the hotel manager worried we would have another sleepless night offered us another room just to sleep in (away from the rattling wind)! He said he knew what a hassle it would be to pack up to change rooms mid stay and so we just took our phones and slept soundly. We didn't ask, he just offered truly wanting the best for our stay. The breakfast (included in the price of the room) was absolutely of the highest quality but again, the staff was remarkable and would remember our order from the day before and ask if we wanted it again and before we realized we needed something, they would just be there, making sure we had everything and more. I have never seen anything like it. Smiles and joy and great energy from every staff we encountered. This hotel should be up for a service award in the industry. Things often go wrong when you travel (bad weather, catching a cold, injury) but when you have a team that wants the best for you it makes everything better! P.S We used the spa and gym and had a massage, again a fantastic experience and facilities.

16/02/2025: The hotel's location is perfect, you can reach the center of Porto Venere with a 10-minute walk. Room facing the sea with a large panoramic window and a balcony with chairs and a table. Unfortunately, however, the curtains on the windows were thin and at dawn we woke up with the sun inside the room, impossible to continue resting. They put earplugs among the gadgets in the room but not the mask... a questionable choice given that the curtains are almost useless. Then in the room there was an unpleasant smell that came up from the toilet and drains. Let's get to breakfast: abundant but not adequate for a 4-star hotel, but really annoying, we started at 9.30, the time when breakfast was served was by 10, at 10.05 they started to take away the buffet while we were still eating... I'll start by saying that, being February, we were 2 couples in the whole room, so not exactly a crowd. After having removed everything, probably having noticed our disappointment, the waiter came to the table to tell us that, since breakfast time had ended a good 5 minutes before and they had to clear the table, after having actually already taken away the entire buffet, he asked us "do you still want something before I take it away?"... It seemed like a joke. Too bad because the night before they had been kind enough to serve us a glass of wine at the bar even though we had arrived shortly after the official closing time.

26/05/2025: Very authentic food and friendly staff. They adjusted to all our "wishes", very relaxing. During the construction of the square, we believe the outside is even more nice. ... differenciates from the main ones there.

08/01/2025: Tpica trattoria sui colli della città dove la gentilezza del personale di sala la fa da padrona. Tutte le portate sono rigorosamente fatte in casa e cucinate tradizionalmente. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Dolce crema pinoli e cannella sublime. Consigliato.

29/10/2024: No es nuestra primera opción (que estaba cerrado), pero se veía bien, así que le dimos una oportunidad. Aunque no era barato, la comida era excelente, así como el vino. Los camareros estaban ocupados, pero siempre nos atendían cuando era necesario. Agradable para alejarse del pasado habitual y restaurantes de pizza (que sí tienen pasta). Esto, como su nombre indica, es principalmente un restaurante de mariscos, pero no hay opciones de mariscos.

10/03/2025: We were billed for 20th place when we hadn't even used cutlery to eat our hamburgers. Charged for 2 bottles of water instead of one. Unfortunately we saw him once we left. I mailed you the receipt and obviously no return. I'm not lying, the cutlery was charged at 10th per person. This is bad faith on your part and it is not correct. Of course no more response from you...how astonishing

03/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante con vista pazzesca su Vernazza. Abbiamo preso due primi veramente ottimi. Peccato che: - gli spaghetti con vongole e bottarga erano senza vongole (solo gusci vuoti); - tagliolini al nero con tartare di gambero: fantastici! ma proposti con aggiunta di mandorle e pinoli e una granola che non erano indicati nel menù. Questa è disattenzione verso il cliente qualora non fossero graditi o in caso di allergie/intolleranze.

30/04/2025: Excelente cena con una vista impresionante de Vernazza al atardecer. El servicio era excepcional también. Mi esposa y yo paramos a cenar después de caminar desde Corniglio. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso!
