15/03/2026: As always, when I dine here, it's a guaranteed success! Fabulous 80s-style shrimp cocktail, never out of style, followed by seafood spaghetti baked in parchment paper, which is made with pita bread. This makes the dish exceptional, a must-try! Sweet apple pie with ice cream, cream, and Grand Marnier is simply delicious. All accompanied by the house white wine. Excellent value, a restaurant worth trying!

08/03/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance and had a great time. The staff was super friendly, the trofie al pesto was delicious, above average (I'm from Genoa), and the place was clean and well-maintained. The waiters were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

08/11/2025: I've been going to Vecchio Mercato for almost twenty years, and it's become a trusted name in my opinion. Probably the best pizza you'll find within a radius of several kilometers. Service is basic but courteous and fast, and the place is traditional and welcoming. I highly recommend the French fries, a must for any diner!

07/03/2026: A friendly and attentive welcome. A wide selection of delicious, gargantuan pizzas at unbeatable prices. Half a liter of sparkling water is only 1 euro, and the beer is served straight and very cold. The menu of pasta and other goodies is extensive. A good place if you want to treat yourself!!!

07/01/2026: A restaurant in the hills of La Spezia. The atmosphere is rustic yet refined. The varied menu features meat-based dishes such as porchetta, Ligurian-style rabbit, and strictly grilled meats. Traditional piadinas, baked in terracotta pots, are prepared in the large fireplace in the dining room and can be enjoyed with cured meats and/or stracchino cheese. The house red wine, Sangiovese, is very good and aromatic. Prices are moderately low. I highly recommend it. We love it here every time we visit this area.

21/12/2025: This is a simple restaurant high above La Spezia. The service is extremely friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, there are hardly any places like this left on the other side of the tunnel, on the "sunny side." The traditional focaccia of the Ligurian coast is cooked there by two nimble young men in an open fire in the middle of the restaurant, between terracotta plates that absorb the moisture from the egg-free flatbread, and immediately brought to the table. There, the guest fills them, similar to a taco, with delicacies from the kitchen: grilled vegetables from eggplant to zucchini and spicy tagliata beef. Beforehand, we had a wonderful ragu. Truly a hidden gem! And it's only 45 minutes from our house in Levanto. It's easily accessible via the stunning SP 150 road high above the sea. You can also take the bus from La Spezia.

07/03/2026: Overall, it was pleasant, but given the very high prices, some dishes could be executed with greater precision. In each of my or my companions' dishes, there was something missing or excessive. I suggest greater attention or a recalculation of the prices. I must say the location is excellent.

22/02/2026: A delightful restaurant in the historic center, near the Piazza dei Palazzo dei Doria. As the name suggests, it's like a hidden "den" with a welcoming atmosphere. The entire staff is extremely kind and friendly. Standing ovation for the mandilli al pesto, the gnocchetti, and the Fassona beef tartare. Highly recommended! PS: Given the layout of the restaurant, it can get very hot; dress in layers.

16/02/2026: We ordered an appetizer to share, a first course each, and the crispy octopus as a second course to share. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was excellent. We also really enjoyed the entrée, the rosemary breadsticks, and the homemade chiacchiere, which were part of the experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special lunch.

24/02/2026: This restaurant was my family's go-to spot when we went to Sanremo. I was disappointed today by the pizzas with canned mushrooms. The prices have gone up. And for the aperitif, not even an amuse-bouche like you usually get in Italy. Frankly, nothing special!

21/03/2026: Impressed by the natural beauty of the place and the attention to detail in the bathroom, worthy of a five-star establishment (there are disposable cloth towels, for example). The space is tastefully furnished, and the wine cellar is truly impressive. A glass of basic quality wine by the glass (drivers are no longer allowed to take bottles) (I don't want to reveal the labels). The idea of ​​tasting olive oil was nice, but not up to the ceremony (Taggiasco, not Taggia, not monocultivar). The oil left on the table had a more delicate flavor but was of unknown origin. (I won't comment, it's better.) Reading the extensive out-of-season menu, I was a bit perplexed. I don't want to offend anyone. I'm just saying that too many dishes (in my opinion) feature "foam/mousse/cream of..." this or that. I had the feeling that these siphoned foams were a must, something I "had to" try. Also many (perhaps too many) selections of slow-cooked/roner/sous-vide dishes. My dish was completely unrecognizable because it was drowned in a foam... (Which I didn't like and therefore ruined the (plate) as pictured. I understand the desire to impress with a unique decoration/plating... But then the palate must be rewarded. Anyway, well done for trying something different. Unfortunately, those of us who were with me received a mess of sea urchin infested with pepper. I expected Her Majesty the sea urchin to be highlighted, not camouflaged. We didn't dare order a second course so as not to tempt fate. They already screwed us over €83 (2 bottles of water, 2 coffees, two glasses of loose wine, 2 first courses). I'd say we were unlucky. We'll try some alternatives. Not here. Truly disappointed. I would have given a lower score. I really don't want to be harsh, but I was honest in my feedback.

20/03/2026: The location is enchanting. And so far... then I'd ask the chef to have mercy on our pansotti and not drown them in a cream that tastes like parmesan rinds and kills every other flavor. I also beg mercy for my beloved sea urchin, which was swimming in some unspecified cream but was mostly overwhelmed by the pepper. More than linguine with sea urchin, it's carbonara with stray clams... We decided not to tempt fate with a second course because for €40 a head for a first course and a glass of wine, I can seriously do better elsewhere.

03/12/2025: A great place for lunch or a quick pit stop. They offer both a restaurant menu and sandwiches and toasted sandwiches. The service is fast and quality, and the view from the restaurant is priceless. The staff is friendly and professional, and the owner is super nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

10/03/2026: This restaurant is completely uninteresting. We had a long wait before our order was even taken. We were served a salad without being charged, and it cost €5 for two. To our surprise, they didn't offer any pizza at lunchtime. The escalope costs €12 each, and the side dish is extra: €5 for frozen fries 😅 Avoid this place.

07/01/2026: Never go to this place! Tourists, or even French people, aren't welcome. We wanted to avoid touristy restaurants and had chosen a typical, family-run one. What a disappointment!
