Pasta & Basta In

Following the numerous rave reviews about this restaurant in the port of Ventimiglia, I decided to try it. I was very disappointed. Even before entering, parking is extremely difficult. The wait for a table is significant, especially unpleasant in the blazing sun! Once seated, the service is incredibly fast, as if to free up the table as quickly as possible... The view isn't great; on the terrace, you're treated to exhaust fumes and a high noise level. The portions are meager for pasta. The taste is nothing special. On the other hand, the bill is outrageous! A quick trip to the restroom—and yes, there are only two stalls—is necessary. So, be patient. In short, make a reservation. Plan ahead for parking. Opt for the second seating, which is later. Enjoy your meal.

A must-try! It's hearty, delicious, and a real change of scenery! Recommended by locals! Both dried and fresh pasta! Choose your pasta type and shape, then your sauce! Excellent value for money!

What an amazing experience at Pasta & Basta in Cala del Forte, Ventimiglia! The food was absolutely delicious — we tried the authentic Italian carbonara with tagliolini and the gnocchi with four cheeses, and both dishes were outstanding. A special thank you to Christina, who made our evening truly memorable with her warm hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. She made us feel welcome from the very first moment and elevated the whole dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the marina and looking for genuine Italian flavors combined with exceptional service. We will definitely come back!

Very generous portions. Excellent food. The porcini mushroom sauce is delicious. Takeout available. You can even take home the leftovers because the portions are so generous. No leftovers here! Parmesan and seasoning are available. I highly recommend it.
