26/07/2026: Santuccio is hands down the best restaurant in Sezze and among the best in the entire province. I highly recommend their legendary porcini gnocchi (incredible). Excellent value. There's nothing better in the area.

05/07/2026: Yesterday we went to this restaurant, which we found by chance. It was one of those dinners we'll never forget, it was so good!!! I think I ate one of the best seafood salads I've ever had. My boyfriend had the raw fish of the day, which was a true explosion of flavor. Everything was delicious! I only regret not taking photos of the dishes, but the presentation was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and truly skilled, congratulations to everyone. We'll definitely be back!

09/08/2026: The location was normal. I should start by saying I called days in advance for a table with a view. Upon arrival, I received a terrible welcome, especially from a local employee. She was haughty and rude, telling me I should have booked months in advance, even though I hadn't been told so on the phone. Not to mention the raw fish appetizer. We weren't informed about the chives everywhere and the low-quality oysters. €45 for a paltry appetizer. The first courses also left something to be desired, except for the pasta with clams, which was good. I'm sorry I paid such a high price for such subpar service, but the rest of the staff, except for the one with the glasses, were exceptional.

13/05/2026: If you want to eat near the port and enjoy fusion cuisine with a couple of beers, this is the place! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the food is spectacular! We'll definitely be back!

10/08/2026: We got married on August 5th, and everything was perfect, far beyond our expectations. The location, in its simplicity, is breathtaking, the food is high quality, far above average for any wedding. The staff is attentive and impeccable. We wish we could go back and relive that day. A special thank you goes to Tiziana and Elisa for putting up with us and supporting us throughout this year, and also thanks to the maître d' for his impeccable organization. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our big day. G&A

14/08/2026: It's a must-see for both first-time visitors and those like me who have loved Ponza for many years. Reservations are essential, as it's a very popular spot. Traditional Ponza dishes, fast service, an entrepreneurial spirit that enhances the establishment, and excellent value.

13/08/2026: Interminable wait. We booked a table (unnecessarily) at 10:30 PM, arrived on time, and waited 30 minutes to be seated (we were seated at 11:15 PM). The wait for the appetizers was incredibly long, while for the first courses it took over 40 minutes (the first course arrived at 12:15 AM). It's a shame because the food was good; we would have ordered the second course as well, but given the long wait, we weren't hungry. We couldn't wait to leave. Given the restaurant's medium-high prices, we expected a different service, both in terms of wait times and temperature. It was incredibly hot outside, barely breathing; fans would have been nice. We'd also been advised to eat inside with air conditioning, but who knows how long the wait would have been... plus, the tables inside were all packed together. All in all, we didn't expect such high prices for a trattoria (still in line with other restaurants in Ponza), but the worst thing was the extremely slow service.

18/08/2026: Bad experience. We chose it to try their fish soup, but it was passed on to others because we arrived half an hour late. We settled on some appetizers, fried mixed seafood and grilled fish. The appetizer had raw boiled potatoes in the center, oyster shells filled with mayonnaise with only two shrimp, a few pieces of squid scattered around, and a couple of fried anchovies. The mixed seafood was very poor, very dry, lacking crispiness. The grilled fish was also dry, with a stringy swordfish steak, with nothing fresh about it. Not to mention the poor service (white wine served almost at room temperature) and the manipulative owner-manager who, in order not to lose us as customers, when we warned us of our short delay, made it clear that he would let us eat the fish soup anyway after waiting a bit, but only when we sat down at the table did he tell us we couldn't have it. The only positive note is the wonderful location, which takes advantage of the tourists who are enchanted by it, by offering them poor food and service,

18/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at La Salute restaurant. We had booked a fish soup two days in advance, and when we warned that we would be arriving a bit late, the owner informed us that it couldn't be stored and would be served at another table. So far, we can understand. Upon our arrival, the owner apologized for the inconvenience, assuring us that he would "treat us well" during and after the service. Unfortunately, our expectations were completely disappointed. The fish we were served was of truly poor quality: it seemed frozen, not very fresh, and, to top it all, poorly cooked. The clams even contained sand. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the quality of the food, the owner's response was: "Then why did you leave the plates empty?" A response that left us even more perplexed, especially since the plates weren't empty at all: there was a significant amount of fish left over, both from the grill and the fried fish. We simply ate what we could because we were hungry and, being already at the restaurant, we had no other options. The wine service also left us perplexed. The white wine wasn't served cold enough. We asked the waitress if it was possible to have a colder bottle and were told that, at most, they could bring us some ice to put directly in the glass. Personally, I find it absurd to put ice in the wine glass: if the white wine isn't at the right temperature, one simply expects a properly chilled bottle to be served. Overall, between the quality of the fish, the clams with sand, the cooking, the wine service, and especially the handling of our complaint, it was a very disappointing dinner. We expected a completely different experience, especially after booking in advance and after the reassurances we received from the owner. Unfortunately, we can't recommend it.

10/07/2026: A small (not so small) enchanted nest in paradise. Ask for a sea-view room on the first floor and you'll be amazed. The rooms are just the right size and beautifully and tastefully furnished. They're spotlessly clean and, above all, have a WONDERFUL view, taking in all of Palmarola and the stretch of sea separating Ponza from it, and the afternoon sun reflecting off the sea and diving into it at sunset. Words aren't enough; you have to see it.

24/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at Ortensia. It’s located right near a shuttle stop which made accessibility a breeze. The view looking out over Palmarola is to die for. It’s got a small market and restauarant right near by for easy eats, in addition to the restaurant within the hotel (that we unfortunately never tried). Lucia and Giovanna were wonderful and helpful at the front desk. Rooms were made up nicely ever day. Get a sea view—it’s worth it. ps you’re in Europe. Judge the hotel based on European standards.

23/03/2026: Ugo and Diana, excellent hosts, offer tasty and original Apulian recipes. I drank the best Mojito I've ever tasted here, but they also offer a wide selection of gins to sip with their rich and varied platters. Highly recommended 😋😋😋

10/08/2026: The day before our dinner, we called the restaurant in Italian to let them know that we were celebrating a birthday and that one person in our party was vegetarian. We were assured that this would not be a problem at all and that they were happy to accommodate vegetarians. I fully understand that, as a vegetarian dining at a seafood restaurant, I cannot necessarily expect an elaborate vegetarian tasting menu. However, the overall experience, including the service, was extremely disappointing and far below what I would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The guests in our party who ate fish were also disappointed with their dishes, particularly by the lack of flavour and the service. There were no vegetarian options listed on the menu except a pasta cacio e pepe, which you can get anywhere and you don't visit a Michelin restaurant for. When I asked what was available, the options were simply recited to me almost like a shopping list. This was not a language issue, as between us we speak English, Dutch and Italian. My options included pak choi, potatoes, and pasta with tomato sauce as a main course. Honestly, I would have been perfectly fine with that if the dishes had been prepared and presented with some care. Unfortunately, they were essentially the restaurant’s existing side dishes, yet charged at prices comparable to the fish dishes. The service during the starters was particularly disappointing. Everyone at the table received their dish except me. Through the mirror, I could see and hear the waitress realise that she had brought the wrong dish for me and tell her colleague that it was incorrect. Despite this, nobody came over to explain what had happened. Around ten minutes later, I was finally told that my dish was coming. By then, everyone else had already started eating because their food would otherwise have gone cold. It took approximately another ten minutes for my dish to arrive. When it finally came, it was simply limp pak choi in oil with a little salt. No real presentation, no creativity and very little flavour. Nobody came to ask how our food was or whether everything was satisfactory. The handling of the birthday was equally disappointing. We had specifically called the day before to mention it and even approached a member of staff at the restaurant to remind them. Despite this, I was later taken aside and asked, “Whose birthday is it?” This was something we had already clearly communicated. Normally, I would say that as a vegetarian I cannot expect a Michelin-level meal in a seafood restaurant. In this case, however, I actually think I could and should have expected exactly that, because this is, after all, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Interestingly, the chef’s welcome bites were carefully composed, creative and beautifully presented. They were the one part of the meal I was genuinely impressed by, and naturally created a certain expectation for the dinner that followed. I am genuinely very easy to accommodate. As long as there is no meat or fish on my plate, I am happy to eat almost anything and have no additional requirements. That is precisely why this experience was so disappointing. For a dinner that cost us around €600, the overall experience was simply not good enough. The view is absolutely beautiful, but based on our experience, I would consider this more appropriate as a Michelin-recommended restaurant than a one-Michelin-star restaurant. A real shame, because the setting and the welcome bites showed that the potential is clearly there.

03/08/2026: Wonderful meal. The view is exquisite. We had a 7:30 reservation right when they opened and got to watch the sunset as Julio created two fantastic cocktails to start the evening. The tequila based Colada was very noteworthy. We can highly recommend the experience.

21/02/2026: I've been to this pizzeria and was truly impressed. The pizza is exceptional: light, well-leavened, and easy to digest, with fresh, quality ingredients that truly make the difference. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff, always smiling. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for both an evening with friends and a more relaxed dinner. I'll definitely be back, and congratulations to the entire staff!
