03/01/2026: As soon as we entered, the restaurant was partially lit, giving the impression of being almost closed. At the register, a tragicomic scene: the owner was using his phone flashlight to light the way he was looking. It was enough to ask, "Where are we, in a cellar?" There was no heating, with an outdoor mushroom placed in the middle of the room as if it were normal. The owner was everything: waiter, cook, cashier, and probably even stockroom staff. Now, goodwill is to be appreciated, but here we are going beyond: total improvisation. There is no menu. The "choice" was between: spaghetti with tomato sauce (or with vegetables) ravioli with "lemon and shrimp" We ordered 3 spaghetti and 2 ravioli. The ravioli? Nothing lemon: they were a cream bomb. Oh, lemon, not even a postcard-perfect one. The owner, perhaps even nice out of context, was unpresentable while cooking: scarf, hat, jacket, pants falling down, and he was constantly pulling them up in front of the customers. An undignified, not to mention embarrassing, scene. The final blow? The price: 90 euros for this experience. Ninety euros. Ninety. A place with a big name but which, unfortunately, represents only poverty, and not even a trace of nobility. Not recommended. Stay home, it's better.

01/05/2026: Upon arrival it seems like ending up in a place to escape from.... then inside beautiful clean organized with a wonderful park like the swimming pool and the sold... this was years before the covid period..

02/05/2026: A journey through the flavors of Cetara, between history and taste Dining at Al Convento is a magical experience. The interior dining room, created from the ancient cloister, offers an authentic, fresh, and intimate atmosphere. The anchovies are superb in every sauce, a true celebration of the local area. Honorable mention goes to the squid ragù: flavorful, expertly cooked, truly exceptional. The bill was absolutely fair and consistent with the exceptional quality of the ingredients. An absolute must-try in Cetara.

22/02/2026: The first course was quite good and plentiful, the second course of fish was inedible. The fish soup contained 3 whole gurnards and lots of tomato with some clams. Some of the fish was raw and others were overcooked, terrible and bitter. Not only did they not change the dish, but they said it was my mouth that gave it a terrible taste, and besides, it's very expensive. For what you get and what you eat, it's terrible, terrible, terrible.

30/01/2026: The slow food here is truly slow, in the sense that even though the restaurant isn't very large, we waited 40 minutes just for some bread and a plate of macaroni with sauce, which isn't exactly ideal with a child. I would definitely return because the food is good, the atmosphere is well-kept and clean; if you can appreciate the details, you'll be amazed. In short, you're stepping into the owners' home, who, albeit in a "slow" way, will welcome and pamper you with this restaurant's fine cuisine. A fair menu at fair prices. P.S. Be careful, pizza is only available for dinner.

23/04/2026: I've been there several times over the past 7 or 8 years, and each time is a confirmation. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. My favorite on winter evenings is the dining room with the fireplace. The price is a little high, but it's worth it if you want good food. Top marks, and we'll definitely be back.

14/04/2026: I don't understand the concept of seafood being so costly on the coast. Basic economics say that higher supply should lower the cost. €26 for a grilled fish is insane, considering it doesn't come with a salad or potatoes. The fish in the lemon sauce was delicious but not worth the price. I was also charged more than what I ordered and judging from the previous reviews, not the first time it has happened. Opening times are wrong, this place doesn't stay open until midnight. Underwhelming experience!

03/05/2026: We stayed here for one night with our 4-month-old baby. The staff was welcoming and organized, accommodating all our needs! The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast was generous and catered to food intolerances (including gluten-free), and served on the terrace overlooking the sea... enchanting! This B&B also has a restaurant and is very close to the center of Pontecagnano. We highly recommend this B&B, and we'll definitely be back!

30/04/2026: A rustic charming guesthouse converted from an old mill with cozy & spacious rooms, modern amenities like air conditioning & hot/cold shower & tap water. The rooms are tastefully decorated & comfortable, the one I was in featured a set of intimate family photos on the wall which intrigued me as I recognised a member of their family. All in all, a highly recommended location for visiting the Salerno countryside. Christina K wok

28/04/2026: Best Neapolitan-style pizza in Caselle and the surrounding area. They even prepare your pizza for you right away. Their closing time is very flexible; definitely worth a visit.

14/03/2026: A spacious two-story restaurant with outdoor seating: a veranda on the ground floor and a terrace on the upper floor. The decor is simple and understated. On the walls are black-and-white photographs of everyday life in the village, rural landscapes, and crafts from days gone by. A lovely evening with friends on weekdays, enjoying the space and helpful staff, which is not always a given on weekends, when they have to accommodate a multitude of customers. Excellent pizza, made with high-quality ingredients and workmanship. Very digestible.

01/11/2025: High-quality ❤️ Fresh, delicious food, with attention to every detail. We've been twice and tried both tastings (sea and land), and everything was truly delicious! The service is excellent and executed with great care and refinement. The atmosphere is quiet and refined, a wonderful experience for those seeking good food and relaxation!

15/03/2026: I visited last year and, despite some skepticism based on some of the reviews, I decided to try La Tagliata anyway. I was met with courtesy and no hassle when I asked to pay by card. If I'd encountered rudeness, a lack of respect for customers, and a hassle with the payment method, I certainly wouldn't have considered returning. I hope I don't have to change my mind on my next visit. See you soon!
