03/09/2025: Good hotel but nothing special, the breakfast is decent, the shower drain didn't work well and often flooded if we used too much water, the door leading to the balcony has an opening that I think is the worst I've seen in my life (be careful because if you break it they'll charge you for it), car garage at 20 euros a day without the possibility of taking the car whenever you want but only asking for it to be taken out for you, solarium on the top floor nice but with a 1m wide pool... In short, good hotel but for me 4 stars is exaggerated

06/11/2025: Open Gate Hotel in Praiano was absolutely spotless, you can tell right away how much pride the family takes in keeping everything clean and customer first. You truly feel like you’re stepping into their home with how warmly they welcome and cater to guests. The on-site restaurant served some of the best dinner we had in all of Praiano. The breakfast that’s included is perfect, with something for everyone. There’s a great spread of American options but also an authentic Italian breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, and local specialties that were out of this world. The location is really great. Its about a 10 minute walk to the marina, a bus stop right out front which Pasquale helped make sure we caught and a 5 minute taxi ride to the center or 20 minute walk. This was not my first time visiting Praiano but now I know about this gem. Between the view, the food, and the incredible hospitality, Open Gate Hotel made our stay unforgettable and I will be back.

28/10/2025: Amazing staff who were very helpful with everything. Clean rooms and hotel overall. The restaurant was also very nice, great breakfast. Stunning views from the room. Easy to get around on the Amalfi coast. The hotel was located on a busy main road, so the noise from the road was quite loud. However, this was not a significant issue for us. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely come back!

03/11/2025: Cute, vibey spot by the water with great views and a welcoming staff. The grandpa/owner was more than welcoming, and we felt like family. Half bottles of wine was nice as well. Wow. Get the grilled anchovies. Youll thank me later. All the pasta were cooked perfectly and the seafood tasted amazingly fresh. Probably one of the most fresh ones we’ve had on the trip. Its a bit out of the way for most, but it seems to be a nice hidden gem/locals spot. Definitely coming back here next time we’re in amalfi coast.

01/11/2025: Lovely restaurant above Positano. We arrived at around 8 on a Sunday evening, late in the season but we're made very welcome, and we're well looked after throughout the evening. We were both quite tired and fancied something straightforward so I opted for the steak and chips, while my wife had pizza. Both were absolutely spot on and the steak was cooked beautifully. Maybe it was the half carafe of wine but it was one of the best evenings out in Positano that week. Also... Given that the restaurant is up in Chiesa Nuova, the prices are very reasonable by comparison to down at the big beach. Definitely worth the walk up a couple of steps.

23/08/2025: Beautiful place with a sea view, fantastic and very kind staff, especially Rosa, always clean rooms, and everything else. Their friendliness made me and my family feel at home. The food is good, with hearty breakfasts. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few days at the seaside because from there you can reach the beach in a short time. There's so much more to say, but I think you have to see the place firsthand. The sunset and the panoramic view.

28/07/2025: Un très belle endroit avec une jolie vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse. Les serveurs sont très accueillants et la nourriture est fraîche et délicieuse. Ce n’est pas un restaurant bon marché mais la qualité du service et des plats méritent le prix.

27/07/2025: The place is great. Polite girl at the reception, we had difficulties with how to get from Naples, contacted the hotel and they were ready to help us and not leave us to our fate. When we arrived, we went out to the parking lot at 30m, we were met. The room has a good view, and overall is neat. There is a restaurant downstairs (and quite a good one) and this is a huge plus. Breakfast is included, also a big plus. I also want to note the common areas for recreation, there are sun loungers, tables and lemon trees.

09/11/2025: Thanks to a gathering, I discovered this wonderful place. On Saturday evening, I and friends enjoyed a dinner with pizza samples and platters of cured meats and cheeses, which we thoroughly enjoyed. On Sunday, with a large group of well over 50 people, we sampled the courtesy, patience of the staff, and the deliciousness of the food! Definitely worth repeating!

14/09/2025: An excellent experience. Having to arrive late at night, and even without knowing the exact time because we have a small child, we received excellent care and the utmost helpfulness. When we woke up, we enjoyed an excellent breakfast with fresh croissants, homemade jam, and freshly picked figs. We hope to have the opportunity to return.

28/06/2025: We were guests in this place, for dinner... I compliment the kitchen and the waiting staff, the lady who looked after us throughout the dinner... we had dinner in the garden, where the right mix was created between the dishes that arrived and a small breeze of wind that could be felt, I recommend it

10/11/2025: Watch out for a bad day... maybe that's what happened to me! 🤔 Some difficult requests really seem to bother the waitress: menu, meatballs, ice... 😔 The heated exchange between waitress and chef is quite typical... like a "swear word" in Rome... 🤣 But the food was good, worth it! 💪🏻😉 #secondchance?

31/10/2025: A great place away from the center. It has a view of the mountains. The owner is friendly and it feels old-school. They offered a complimentary limoncello, but they brought me a bottle and left it. Drink as much as you want. It's simply amazing. I don't think it'll be the same for everyone, but it's a very nice place.

06/09/2025: Top pizza, very friendly staff, but go on an empty stomach; the pizzas and other deli items are super topped! 😉 Good value for money.

23/08/2025: Good pizza, but nothing exceptional, standard contemporary Neapolitan fare. Considering we're in a small mountain village near Salerno, the pizza was good, with a soft, digestible, hydrated dough and good-quality ingredients. Obviously, anyone who's already used to eating this product will find it a standard pizza. Anyone who only tries this here will find the product excellent. The service is a bit inattentive to customer needs.
