30/03/2024: We visited this restaurant on a whim at lunch time and enjoyed our food; the atmosphere and service were very nice (we especially loved the prawn salt and pepper pasta and the sorbet and gelato were fantastic- the lemon sorbet is quite tart, fyi). Pricey, so I’m not sure we would return for more than one visit.

05/10/2023: Great waterfront location, outstanding restaurant, super friendly staff. The only downside is it's right next to the road, but this is not uncommon in the area and we didn't notice the noise except during dinner.

04/04/2024: Very nice place and quite a hidden gem. All the food we ordered tasted amazing, especially the pizza and Pasta alla Bolognese. Definitely recommend going here when in Santa Maria.

27/03/2024: da Nello is the place to go for delicious, authentic Cilento Coastal cuisine in Santa Maria di Castellabate. We ate here three times during our stay and every dish we tried was terrific! Some of the standouts were starters like the stuffed zucchini flowers (Fori di zucchini ripieni), artichoke and octopus salad (polio e carciofi all'salata), primi including the spaghetti con le vongole (clams),paccheri with swordfish and eggplant (pesce spade e melanzane) and any of the grilled or fried fish for the mains. Nello makes everything fresh-- he even bakes the bread himself. Service is attentive and Christina will guide you through the menu even if you don't speak Italian.

01/04/2024: Local located in front of the University of Salerno, well connected to the motorway. The environment is clean, spacious and comfortable. Quality products with fine meats and kind waitstaff, sublime desserts, recommended! Value for money in the norm.

06/04/2024: Nice concept and the food seems high quality, but the tuna plates were too salty, we could not finish them. It took them 40 minutes to take our order even thought there only 3 tables occupied. The service afterwards was nice and it looks like a nice small family business, but 40 mins in a small restaurant is still ABSURD, for ordering. However I would not go back. To be fair, maybe it was only today or only for our plates. The other things we ordered were ok/good. It was too expensive for what we got. I do not recommend it. The town has an extensive offer, avoid this disappointment.

31/03/2024: I had dinner last night with my girlfriend at "Punto e pasta" in Cetara. From the moment we entered, we were surrounded by a delicious aroma that anticipated the excellence of the dishes that awaited us. We were welcomed with warmth and courtesy, as always since it wasn't our first time at Punto e Pasta, and we had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious appetizer: the prawn meatballs served with two other anchovy meatballs on a vegetable cream (the latter gift from the chef), all very welcome and capable of conquering our palate with fresh and authentic flavours. As first courses, we opted for the seafood Scialatielli and the vermicelli with clams and pesto. Both dishes were a riot of freshness and taste, with the highest quality ingredients which confirm the restaurant's commitment to using only the freshest and never frozen products. I would also like to underline the friendliness and friendliness of all the staff at the venue, who contributed to making our evening even more pleasant. Ultimately, I highly recommend "Punto e pasta" to all lovers of good food and genuine hospitality. We can't wait to return!

19/02/2024: Applause certainly goes to the food because they don't have a tourist menu with a thousand dishes, there are few dishes but they are of quality and with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is homely as it is a family-run restaurant, a positive experience. But ... I didn't give 5 stars for just one reason: for two fried fish, no matter how good they are, you shouldn't spend €36 as they are largely made up of anchovies and prawns.

31/03/2024: Very pleasant surprise, Mediterranean fish cuisine of the highest level. Fantastic location, we ate in a lemon grove. Refined dishes, excellent service, great availability of Mr. Carlo, fair price. The first courses are excellent also because the pasta is made on the spot as the restaurant has an open pasta factory. Both the grilled and fried fish are excellent, all accompanied by special sauces. The desserts are all super, don't miss the lemon caprese. Highly recommended place, I will be back soon.

06/11/2023: Dreadful experience at Palazzo Avino! I would not normally write a review, but my partner and I had such a poor experience, I had to warn you all. We brought our service animal who is a small 48 lb (22kg) golden retriever and our overnight stay generally went without issue, although the staff were cold and they couldn't supply a clothing steamer as the hotel only had one. As soon as we, however, checked out, we were kicked out of the hotel. Why you may ask? We wished to stick around to enjoy the property but were told from the reservation's manager that we were not allowed to remain on the grounds because of our "large" dog, citing safety concerns for the owner's small dachshund. Keep in mind that trained service animals are viewed as assistive technology/medical equipment, not as a pet. We were told that they "made an exception and that the dog could only remain in the room during the stay," which they did not communicate up until we checked out. As my service animal this also meant that I technically would have to remain in the room as well or else risk being without my service animal. Our pleas for their understanding did not make any difference to the staff as despite our service animal being professionally trained, having the kindest demeanor and being on a leash at all times, we were not allowed to stay on the premises. We suspect that the owner's dog could be the one causing safety concerns as he barked incessantly in a back room when they noticed our service animal. This hotel's practices are very concerning and we can only hope that the hotel's management takes this accessibility issue seriously and does not further discriminate against those with disabilities.

03/04/2024: The staff was very friendly, but the food wasn’t so hot and the pasta was a bit too al dente for us. It seems the meatballs and gnocchi are the way to go, but we went with mixed seafood and pasta as well as the pasta and tuna with onion special. The food was not bad, but not nearly as good as the other food we have had in the region. Maybe it was bad luck, but this was our experience. The wine from Etna was very nice!

11/05/2024: A fantastic place to get a lovely meal. With so many places to eat in town this is a must. The octopus was amazingly fresh and the pasta was clearly home made by an expert. Save room because the signature dessert is a must have. Highest recommendation

10/05/2024: Discovered this hidden gem by accident. Was the best meal and service we have had the whole time in Italy. Admittedly only 5 days but we have struggled to find somewhere to accommodate 4 different palates. Service was 2nd to none. Ford was quick and delicious. Hightly recommend.

09/04/2024: It is a historic restaurant, bar, delicatessen and fast food point. He works mostly with transient customers who go to nearby seaside destinations as well as with motorists and travelers who usually dine out. It has various fixed price menus you can also opt for a stuffed sandwich. It is not a restaurant, it is still a fast food restaurant, but the price/quality ratio is excellent. I'm happy to stop when I've been in the area for at least 50 years.

06/04/2024: We stayed at the hotel in April and were very well received. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with a wonderful view. Nothing fancy, but everything done with great care.

07/04/2024: Nice place furnished in a simple and nice way. Good food with top special pizzas. Very attentive service and toilets kept clean. Prices above average but with a justified research and offer of the products offered.
