28/03/2026: Nonna Sceppa is a place worth preserving. The ingredients and preparation are of the highest quality, with simple yet perfect plating. It's rare to find a restaurant that achieves excellence with both fish and meat, vegetables, and desserts. The quality/price ratio (for the quality) is also excellent. If I really had to offer a suggestion (not a criticism), I'd say that the owner and his sons are a bit cold and aloof, especially when ordering, where a touch of friendliness would be preferable.

10/03/2026: We had two fish-based starters, both excellent quality and generous portions. For our main course, a delicious fried calamari. The place may be a little dated, but the management and the quality of the food make it worth a visit, even if the prices are a bit high.

16/04/2026: KING OF SPAGHETTI ! What fun to be back in beautiful Salerno ! My wife and I arrived here for a 6 day vacation on Thurs, March 27th after a long private limo drive from Florence. Martin our good friend and limo / tour driver dropped us off a short distance from our 4th floor Airbnb on Corso Vittorio Emanuele....the ( mostly ) pedestrian mall which runs the length of downtown Salerno. We intended to revisit most of the restaurants, cafes and gelato shops we loved during our 4 day visit here 18 months ago...and find some new ones ! In fact during dinner that first night at a very good pizzeria one of the staff suggested Al Dente to us...said it was very good. On Saturday we set off along the pedestrian mall and arrived here around 1.30pm to grab some lunch. THE PLACE WAS PACKED OUT ! As soon as we entered the eatery I ran into Mauro the very friendly manager who seated us at a table immediately...the only one in sight. GREAT VIBE ! Everywhere I looked I could see contented diners enjoying their spaghetti dishes. BEER ! Mauro was the right guy to talk to and brought me an ice cold Mastri Birra Umbri IPA with a tall stem glass straight off the bat. VERY SATISFYING ! This was an American style IPA - 6.5% abv and a pleasure to drink . FOOD ! There was an enormous selection on the menu. My wife ordered BACON AND EGG ( Fresh organic eggs, pecorino romano DOP, Norcia bacon, black pepper ) while I decided on TOMATO AND BACON ( Norcia bacon, San Marzano DOP tomato, Pecorino Romano DOP and black pepper ). POPULAR PLACE ! I noticed that every time a table was vacated it was taken straight away. FAST SERVICE ! Our beautiful looking dishes arrived faster than the bullet train. SPAGHETTI HEAVEN ! Our perfectly made meals tasted extraordinary...these guys have got it down to a fine art. We paid the bill and thanked Mauro the cool manager, Veronica & Giuseppe the kind servers....got selfies of course ! Without a doubt we would have come back again but we had a very full schedule ahead of us. ONE OF OUR BEST DINING EXPERIENCES IN ITALY !

02/04/2026: Trattoria Da Armandino sits right on the beach next to the marina, we stopped in for an excellent lunch. Everything we ordered was outstanding, with the scialetelli and clams, seared tuna, and fried mozzarella being our favorites. My son said the cannoli was the best dessert he has ever had, but I thought the homemade lemon cake was even better. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and checked in with us often.

08/02/2026: A small, cozy place with just a few tables and a warm welcome that makes you feel like you're among friends. Authentic, locally sourced food, fair prices, and generous portions. The appetizers are excellent.

12/04/2026: We found ourselves in this little restaurant almost by chance. The food was excellent. Mr. Nello was also very polite throughout our experience. It's a shame they were a bit short-staffed and the restaurant was packed, which was a shame to hear the chef yelling. Anyway, we ate some good fresh fish.

03/04/2026: Pay attention to the “cover”. Sad at any restaurant - I accidentally added a water or 3 covers instead of two because there were two of us etc... pretty much everywhere around - be careful. The food - I didn't like it - it really tasted like a refrigerator 🫣.. out of the whole 5-day stay I only had one good experience - otherwise I starved 🙈

12/12/2025: Amazing authentic pasta and superb service! We had to come back a second time to try out the pizza which was also delicious. You can’t beat the views either.

28/03/2026: What can I say? Unique traditional dishes made with care and attention to detail. The prices are also low considering the quality of the finished product. The portions are generous. The service is simple and welcoming. Whether you're passing through or a local, I recommend this place for a proper lunch without spending a fortune.

31/03/2026: Neither good nor bad... We went to this place on the recommendation of friends.... Very nice location, but that's not all... This place lacks the warmth of a welcome and a greeting of gratitude..... We ordered fried pizza, a platter, and meatballs.... The fried pizza reheated in the oven wasn't exactly what we expected, but it wasn't a wow-factor pizza.... The meatballs were bread dough with ragù... And the platter so highly praised on the menu doesn't have all this quality.... Some cured meats weren't fresh.... And there was a real lack of flavor....... And to top it all off, no response to our greeting.... I honestly don't recommend it....

04/04/2026: I stayed at this hotel at the end of March with some friends and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious and the restaurant has a magnificent terrace. We were satisfied with everything, even beyond what was expected.

29/03/2026: The facility is huge, yet clean and well-maintained. The staff is extremely kind and attentive. The room was impeccable, as was the dinner. Of course, a review must take the cost of all this into account, and a "service" like this is worth far more than what we paid.
