07/11/2025: Was really hopeful it would be great! Kids spaghetti fine, but nothing amazing. Pumpkin risotto was good. Meatballs were raw and sent back. Packaged up as take away and got home... for them to STILL be raw. All of that for the low price of almost 150 euros. Much better places to eat on the coast. Skip it.

28/10/2025: Service was excellent, the food is good, and we definitely enjoyed our dinner. Be sure to make reservations. This restaurant is recommended. Americans please note that the portions are small, relative to typical American expectations for dinner. You definitely need an appetizer with your meal if you are hungry. No salads or vegetables, which is also different relative to typical American meals. This restaurant is not unique in the general lack of vegetables for dinner. We experienced this across Italy and Denmark during our trip, so this must be typical.

For the rest of humanity that values ​​their money and their taste buds, follow my advice: **Run away.** My visit to this "exclusive" establishment was marked by a succession of disappointments, culminating in a bill that made me wonder if I had mistakenly bought the coffee itself. **The €7 Tomato Sandwich: A Conceptually Tragic Work of Art** Image 1.png speaks for itself: two slices of industrially produced bread, dry and tasteless, filled with a few slices of tomato that looked like they had seen better days. The "art" here wasn't in the presentation, but rather in the audacity of charging €7 for something a culinary intern could make in two minutes. The texture was like cardboard, the flavor was nonexistent. The toast was poorly toasted, soggy, and tasteless. The cheese, of poor quality, looked like melted plastic. The fact that image 2 shows a toast that has already been bitten into and is still a desolate sight says everything you need to know. The Atmosphere: A Failed Attempt at Sophistication The place itself tries to convey an image of elegance (photo 3.png), with outdoor tables and a view of the road where, curiously, two tourists passed by on scooters, probably fleeing similar prices. The decor is monotonous, with green metal chairs that look like they came from a school cafeteria. The service was slow and inattentive, as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The Verdict: A Tourist Trap Café Novanta Quattro is the perfect example of a tourist trap that survives thanks to its prime location and the lack of immediate alternatives. The food is mediocre, the prices are exorbitant, and the overall experience is disappointing. If you value your money and want to have a good meal in Positano, avoid this place at all costs. There are many other options that offer quality food at fair prices, without trying to sell you dry bread with tomato for €7. Note: The signature "CERAMICA ASSUNTA POSITANO" in the corner of the plaque is the only thing that demonstrates any good taste in this place. Unfortunately, ceramics are not edible.
