06/05/2026: What a lovely discovery this restaurant was, tucked away from the bustling streets of Naples! Intimate atmosphere, only about ten tables, excellent service, and above all, delicious food! We tried the octopus salad, the pasta alla nerone, the pasta alle vongole, and the seafood pasta, and everything was superb. Thank you to the front-of-house and kitchen staff!

05/05/2026: When you walk through the doors of Osteria da Carmela, you're immediately struck by the joyful, Neapolitan commotion. This place has that rare, authentic soul that can't be faked. It's not just a restaurant; it's a love letter to Campania. Let me tell you about what happened at our table. Act One: Seafood and Tradition We started with Impepata di Cozze. Simplicity at its purest. Mussels, black pepper, a hint of lemon. When they lift the lid, the steam hits you in the face with the scent of the Tyrrhenian Sea. There's something primal and utterly brilliant about it. You need nothing more than a piece of bread to mop up the aromatic broth from the bottom of the bowl. Then came the pastas. The gnocchi alla Sorrentina were... well, they were like little, fluffy clouds bathed in sunlight. That tomato sauce? Sweet, deep, with a chewy mozzarella that makes you forget the world for a moment. And the Linguine allo Scoglio? It was a feast. Every bite of pasta was infused with the essence of seafood. It tastes as if the chef had simply gone to the port in the morning and asked the sea, "What do you have for us today?" Main Course and Sweet Finale For the second course – Calamaro alla Brace. 02/06/2026: We loved our room overlooking the water so waking up every morning was beautiful looking out the windows. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and plentiful. I loved sitting by the pool and actively keeping the pigeons away with the mini squirt guns. What we were so impressed about was how well your hotel put on a wedding for 100+. It was so romantic and executed so quickly. The food was delicious and the staff was so attentive. Thank you all so very much! Bravo!!!

02/06/2026: This is our second stay at Hotel Mary and we're absolutely thrilled. We're traveling with two children and are thrilled with the child-friendly service, something often lacking in Germany. The absolute highlight, however, is the breakfast manager, "Vincenzo" (I hope I spelled his name correctly). His communication skills are extraordinary and should become standard in all hotels. If he's not around for a day, guests immediately notice. This ability to connect with guests is a true gift. I've never experienced anything like it in any other 4-star hotel around the world. If I could, I'd hire him for our company right away!

10/06/2026: A tiny restaurant that lives up to its promise. A warm welcome from the waiter, who speaks English with foreigners. Open kitchen. You can watch the woman cooking and enthusiastically explaining her dishes and ingredients. A small, unpretentious place that will charm you with its fresh produce and concise menu. We had a very good meal for a very good price, away from the crowds. A must-try if you're in Naples!

20/05/2026: Don’t be fooled by the high ratings and very cheap menu. Food felt unseasoned - NEVER get the alla vongole because there’s no sauce at all. Everyone at my table was shaking salt into their plates for some flavour. The desserts felt like they came from the supermarket. I understand that requesting free limoncello could’ve been rude, but the waiter served it passive aggressively. The service was neglectful from the start — when we got bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar with no plates until the main course was served.

I spent my wedding here all recommended by the dearest Antonella menu music (Gino very good) flowers everything went very well..: very clean room excellent breakfast what can I say if you want a perfect wedding and you don't want anyone to have something to say 😅 going to the Gabbiano is a guarantee ❤️

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant and stress-free stay. The atmosphere throughout the hotel felt warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile, making the experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with a good selection to start the day right. Overall, Hotel Il Gabbiano exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bacoli, and I would definitely stay here again!
