17/04/2025: While exploring Amalfi during our Amalfi Coast tour on March 31, we were on the hunt for a gluten-free lunch spot—and found the perfect place in Pizzeria Donna Stella. It’s a bit hidden and easy to miss, but the short climb up a steep flight of steps rewards you with a peaceful lemon grove overhead and a tucked-away setting far from the bustle of the main square. It had just rained, so most of the charming outdoor seating was too wet to use, but the cozy indoor space was just as inviting. I ordered a gluten-free pizza, which was delicious and safely prepared—a rare and welcome find for Celiacs in the region. If you're in Amalfi and want something quiet, scenic, and gluten-free, Donna Stella is a must.

21/03/2025: Awesome pasta place in Salerno!! Without a doubt, their specialty is the spaghetti carbonara, which is outrageous. Delicious! We also ordered the lemon and Neapolitan ragu, which were also delicious. The service was great; they give you free tap water, which is appreciated, and they'll refill it as much as you want. A very, very good place! We had to wait a bit even though we had a reservation because the place is always packed!

19/03/2025: This is BY FAR my favourite restaurant in Salerno. I am a Dutch woman who was here last year on holiday with my 2 sisters and already then we ate 3 times in 2 days at this place. I am now here staying for 5 weeks and been tasting their fabulous spaghetti and bruschette at least 8 times. My favourite is Amatriciana spaghetti and Marinara bruschette. And every morning I go for a cappuccino and a bombolone at their bar around the corner. It is just great and I'm gonna miss you guys when I go back to Holland!

16/04/2025: Always a guarantee!!! It's not a holiday in Ischia if you don't eat here!!!! Discovered by chance many years ago.... we've been going back for 8 years. The food is really excellent: well-stuffed pizza, fresh fish, for some time they have been very careful about presentation (which doesn't hurt) even if the goodness is in the substance rather than in the appearance! Very attentive to the relationship with customers: always ready, kind, and honest. They speak all languages!! The restaurant is on the Forio seafront and is very bright, with a well-kept environment, it is pleasant for both lunch and dinner (we tried it at all hours). To enter this huge veranda there is a high step. The toilet is very small, but has everything and is always clean, unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Like all places on the seafront, it does not have reserved parking, but you can find a place in the paid car park or use public transport. For us a fixed stop!!! Super recommended!

16/04/2025: Delicious lunch here in Forio on the seafront. Fantastic chicche with clams, walnuts and dried tomatoes for me, linguine with lemon, almond and basil pesto for my friend. Absolutely delicious bread, one a traditional crusty white bread, one a flatbread with poppy and sesame seeds. Not as cheap as similar places in parts of Naples but considering we were on a swanky island right on the seafront: excellent value for money. Pleasant, efficient service. Lovely. Thank you.

13/04/2025: Historic institution in Ischia, very kind staff and very high quality food. A special note on the croquettes, one of the best I've ever eaten.

16/03/2025: Rotisserie with typical Ischia dishes, such as Ischia rabbit (good but too greasy and immersed in oil) and various vegetables. The main problem was the lack of transparency on prices: when it came to the bill, we noticed discrepancies compared to the menu, with an increase of €2 on the rabbit (€30 instead of €28) and of €0.50-1 on other products. This, combined with the disappointing sausage and the overly greasy rabbit, negatively affected the overall experience with no more than 3 stars. The total bill of €55 for rabbit, vegetables, potatoes, sausage, water and focaccia did not seem justified to us. Positive note: the boy as waiter was very kind and helpful.

08/04/2025: Osteria a pochi passi dalla Funicolare di San Martino. Menu essenziale con piatti di terra e di mare, buona scelta di vini. Ambiente caldo e accogliente, servizio cortese e veloce, prezzi nella media.

03/04/2025: We stayed in Vico Equense and am so pleased we enjoyed the excellent cuisine at this delightful restaurant. The service, food and ambiance was great. I enjoyed a lemon, ricotta and pistachio pizza. The best I’ve ever eaten. My daughter enjoyed a very tasty pasta dish. Excellent all round. Thank you very much.

03/04/2025: I went there two nights in a row, I think this is already an indicator of my experience. The staff is extremely nice, kind and friendly (I went there alone but I fell not). In particular Carmine and Nello are super welcoming and also gave me tips about the typical food of the island. I had a great pizza margherita one day and gnocchi alla Sorrento a on the second always with a veggie on the side: super tasty zucchine alla scapece and typical friarielli. What to say, I could go there tomorrow as well, but sadly I’m leaving. Super recommended, many locals go there as well. Great quality/price ratio.

23/02/2025: I was in the restaurant a few weeks ago, what can I say about quality/price, it's not all bad, the dishes cost sky high, badly presented, poor quality and cooked worse, unwelcoming place, honestly they could even make it more fascinating and warm if it's cold in there...Never again!! if you want to have high prices at least present dishes that are up to par and change the chef Stringy meat, raw mushrooms, escarole tasting only of water and cold, unappealing bread, unpleasant appetizer, you couldn't taste anything incomprehensible enough to understand that it was on the plate... an unrefined environment, money wasted!!!!!

16/02/2025: Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per le 14.30 siamo arrivati puntuali dopo che ci hanno accompagnato al tavolo ci hanno fatto aspettare 10 minuti per sapere se volevamo acqua, il cameriere ci ha chiesto se eravamo pronti per ordinare ma non avevamo avuto un menu da consultare. Abbiamo ordinato 4 antipasti di terra maroder e un carpaccio, due primi e due secondi. Arrivano gli antipasti dopo 30 minuti di quello che c’era segnato dal menu nei piatti non c’era nulla! Si sono scusati dicendo che erano cambiati stamattina e avevano dimenticato di dirlo. Uno dei primi era terminato è stato sostituito con un filetto al pepe verde, ma è arrivata una scaloppina al pepe verde! Gli altri due secondi erano dei carpacci stracotti, CARPACCI, tengo a precisare, solo il primo piatto di mio figlio sembra sia stato buono. Abbiamo ordinato i dolci arrivati in pochi minuti, in dubbia la preparazione in quanto un flan richiede almeno la cottura. Il servizio che dire 😅😅 pessimo è poco. I piatti quasi ci sono stati buttati a tavola, arrivati tutti in tempi diversi, esclusi i dolci arrivati assieme…..infine il conto 200€ se avessimo mangiato quello che avevamo ordinato e cucinato neanche ad arte ma decentemente sarebbe stato equo….ovviamente non terneremo mai più

05/11/2024: Nos detuvimos aquí solo porque estábamos cerca. El servicio era excelente - rápido, amable y servicial. Empezamos con bruschetta, que fue excelente. (Leí una crítica anterior diciendo lo terrible que era, pero el nuestro era excelente. Trabajé en una escuela de cocina hace varios años y créeme, conozco bien a Bruschetta, y esto fue excelente). Nuestro vino era bastante agradable - un tinto Sorrento. Yo tenía pasta carbonara y mi marido tenía raviolis Caprese, que ambos eran muy buenos. Postre Ford, partimos un tiramisú. Fue una buena presentación, pero simplemente buena, no genial. ¿Comería aquí otra vez?

04/11/2024: Sono stata a pranzo in questo ristorante, ieri,di Domenica. Ambiente tranquillo e accoglienza cordiale. Piatti saporiti e ben fatti. Non ho fatto foto da poter mostrare ma consiglio vivamente una visita. Noi abbiamo preso un antipasto di mare, gli gnocchi e gli scialatielli ai frutti di mare. Tutto buonissimo. Anche i calici di vino bianco da loro suggerito.

15/03/2025: Good place with its own parking, informal but tasteful atmosphere. Good level of customer service. Good quality foods. Satisfactory value for money. Near the Casina Vanvitelliana on Lake Fusaro. Overall, a good place to spend an evening.

06/03/2025: An excellent gastronomic experience We had the pleasure of having lunch at this restaurant and were thrilled in every respect. From the moment we entered we were greeted with great courtesy by the staff, who proved to be attentive and professional throughout the evening. The room is tastefully furnished. The menu offers a selection of dishes with attention to detail, prepared with quality ingredients and impeccably presented. Each course exceeded our expectations, with authentic and well-balanced flavours. The service was impeccable: perfect times between one course and another. Highly recommended!
