Very welcoming place, excellent Neapolitan cuisine (Genoese cuisine is truly delicious), and the pizza is also good! Everything is also available gluten-free, and the pizza in particular is very well made with a great dough. Highly recommended!

The taste was very good. The quantities generous. The staff very friendly this restaurant is very old and traditional Italian. What surprised me they even had free mouth wash at the toilet so when you finish you are ready

Umberto Restaurant is a guarantee. Good traditional Neapolitan cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere that remains a historic venue, offering a special evening after more than 100 years. In a Naples that, unfortunately, is changing for the worse in many places, this place retains its old-world charm, even while modernizing some of the dishes! I'd like to highlight the courtesy of the owner and the very kind Nando who served us! Thank you.

A quaint restaurant. The staff, despite being packed, were very welcoming. I recommend booking in advance to avoid waiting. The food is very good, and they cater to food intolerances; I had the special gluten-free paccheri.

The restaurant is very spacious and elegant. Service may not be the fastest, but it's very courteous and professional. The pizza is good, but not extraordinary; I enjoyed the dessert and the Italian-style fried food more. The setting is beautiful; if you saw Mario Martone's Death of a Neapolitan Mathematician a few years ago, you should know that the famous mathematician Caccioppoli was a regular here. Overall, the quality/price ratio is excellent.

Had several gluten free items on the menu including the risotto (not our favorite) and salted cod ( was good but not great). Service and atmosphere were great. Was worth trying but would try other gluten free restaurants before coming back again.

21/03/2026: I had a simply wonderful experience at the Hotel Il Nido in Sorrento. The pesce spada al limone was impeccable—perfectly cooked, extremely tender, and with a light yet sophisticated balance of flavors, highlighting the freshness of the fish without masking its essence. While we waited, we were surprised with a delicious complimentary dish: arancini and tomato bruschetta, both very well prepared and which already hinted at the high level of the cuisine. The house wine also deserves mention—very pleasant, balanced, and perfectly complementing the main course. To finish, the tiramisu was, without exaggeration, one of the best I've ever tasted in Italy: light, creamy, and with just the right amount of distinctive flavor. But the real difference goes beyond the food: the service is exceptional. Attentive, cordial, and genuinely welcoming—the kind that makes you feel special. A complete experience, which I recommend without hesitation.
