01/05/2025: Dopo vari giri a vuoto nei locali di "ultima generazione" di Matera , ci siamo per caso e per fortuna imbattuti in questo ristorante "non improvvisato"....il titolare Mario ci ha accolto da vero padrone di casa, con gentilezza cordialità e simpatia....consigliandoci benissimo secondo le nostre esigenze....Abbiamo mangiato un super antipasto con prodotti tipici lucani di ottima qualità, tra cui un meravigliiso piatto di cruschi... Orecchiette alle cime di rapa altrettanto eccezionali...fino ad un ottimo dolce .vaniglia pan di Spagna e cioccolato fondente..Tutto davvero buonissimo... I camerieri attenti e gentili, locale accogliente e delizioso. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole mangiare bene nel segno della vera tradizione e a prezzi più che onesti. 26/01/2025: Very rustic place, a place that has stopped in time, which to tell the truth is one of the most beautiful things! Truly exquisite and abundant food, we ate appetizer, first course and dessert, everything top.

12/07/2025: Excellent beachfront property. Clean, renovated, and spacious rooms. 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 dog stayed. Excellent food from the pizzeria to the restaurant. Super-abundant breakfast with fresh produce every morning. Unforgettable Apulian focaccia! Extremely kind, friendly, and helpful staff. We felt pampered, just like at home! Once again, a heartfelt thank you to all the staff for taking care of our dog Crodino during the fire that broke out in Metaponto and bringing him back safe and sound to the collection points. Thankfully, good people still exist!!! We highly recommend it!!! A big hug from Cinzia, Beppe, Andrea, and Crodino ♡

11/07/2025: We, 2 mothers with children, arrived at this place after a long journey and saw a dirty area with a terrible smell of garbage cans. We were met with a cold look. The room is not comfortable, there are not even glasses for water, nothing. The cafe is like from the last century, everything is old, the prices are inflated. No one came to us and told us about this place, no advice or answers. We apologized and decided to leave, but the owner did not give us 50 €, since according to his version, the children went to the toilet in the room. This is how they treat children there. This is the worst place, with disgusting staff, that we have seen. We are horrified, tired, without a sip of water and in tears, we left for another place, which we looked for for several hours standing on the street under the door of these people. We saw everything and no one helped. Shame! Do not come to this dirty place, there is Ginoza Sea nearby, everything is fine there. P.S.: I would like to add one more thing, since the owner has already answered. The owner does not feel any shame or remorse for this disgrace... It is very easy for these people to offend women with children. Our children sat on the dirty ground near this garbage dump and cried, because we were shocked by the attitude of these people. Do not forget about Karma, you also have to answer for the tears of children, may God add conscience to you... I will answer about our country, fortunately, even during the terrible war in Ukraine there is no such horror, no such dirt and no such bad people!!! No one asked your opinion on where we should go and what to do. I hope that the war and such attitude of others towards you will not affect you. We wish you to find the strength and admit to yourself that good and love are stronger than evil and hatred. Good luck!

18/06/2025: Great location. Very quiet. Clean rooms and obviously very fresh. Breakfast was average, nothing exceptional but you have to consider that it is not a 4 star so it is fine

25/06/2025: It was a very pleasant dinner, with great food and excellent service—I have no complaints! The atmosphere was very pleasant! I went back again to try the pizza, and it was spectacular! The primo amore pizza was an explosion of flavors! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Maratea! I have nothing bad to say!

22/04/2025: Good food, I don't give 5 stars because the first courses defined as tasting were really small in quantity, and the second courses could have at least 2 portions each, for a menu of 40 per person given the prices in the area I would have expected at least a higher quantity.

28/06/2025: A wonderful atmosphere with a view over Matera. The service is friendly and helpful, and I'm sure you'll find a large, unpretentious tourist, yet still a pleasant side to the road. The food is good and the portions aren't overpriced, but they're just too big to be savoury. We recommend it after 8:00 PM to enjoy the lights of the place. Beautiful atmosphere with a great view, but the service is a bit slow and not always super friendly. If you try to chat, you can tell they really have a lot of work to do. The food is okay with sufficient portions. Very nice in the evening.

23/05/2025: Primer plato escaso y quemado (legumbres) Segundo plato también escaso. Cuando sirvieron la escasa ensalada, hacía tiempo que habíamos terminado el segundo El postre no llegaron a servirlo después de una larga espera. Falta de limpieza. Pésima atención por falta de personal.

22/06/2025: Despite the helpful staff, after a sleepless night due to the humidity in the room, we preferred to leave the hotel. Although the staff admitted the problem, they asked for payment for the night not used, offering me a discount of €20, an almost offensive discount in the face of an obvious disservice. I would add that on the morning of departure a hotel technician was trying to repair the air conditioning, perhaps necessary to improve the situation, which in my opinion was unacceptable. All the good things that the hotel offers are ruined by this unfortunate aspect. Highly discouraged.

25/03/2025: We stayed in this "neighborhood" property in Sasso Cavoso. The cave rooms are carefully renovated and very comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast, with also typical products. The owners are really kind and helpful. Beautiful stay.

23/06/2025: Amazing views with average food, expensive food. The pizza was fine but that's about it, also the most expensive pizza I've had in Italy. The 3 Euro service charge per person is ridiculous. You're better off going somewhere else.
