If you want an appetizer with the flavors of the Murgia region, this is the place for you. Limited selection, but carefully selected. Reservations are required, located on one of Matera's main streets. The pizza is excellent. I'll give it a 5-star rating when I try the first courses, because I'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is right in the city center, with refined and delicious cuisine. It was a true pleasure for our palate. I recommend making a reservation because the place was packed.

Wonderful experience on a Thursday! Fennel pie appetizer was simply delicious in every way! Full of taste along with a cheese pie to complement it. Square spaghetti was so different and delicious- we savored every bit! Cavatelli with.cod and tomatoes was superb and savory! Just a great delicious experience ! Molta Bene ….Gratzie!!

We went to this restaurant last night for a family dinner. We had a great time; the food was excellent and the service impeccable. Thanks to Francesco, who served us throughout the evening and was very kind and helpful. :)

Everything was perfect and delicious! We spent two evenings in Matera, and both evenings at Al Falco Grillaio. Excellent, high-quality cuisine in a beautiful, well-appointed setting. Special thanks to Salvatore, who welcomed us with such kindness and professionalism.

28/04/2026: The bed was a bit hard for our preference, but staying in a cave is incredible and the experience will never be forgotten. There was a very large selection for breakfast and they catered to my gluten-free needs, upon prior request. They had fresh honeycomb and fresh homemade yogurt.
27/04/2026: Sleeping in one of their rooms is truly an amazing experience. Their interior garden is intimate and offers some shade, they offer fluffy towels & slippers + anything you could need for the bathroom. Also the breakfast was great, lots of great pastry, savoury options + fresh honeycomb. Beware that the humidity in the rooms is pretty high. Very close to the important things to visit in Matera. We were a group of 7 girls and we had a huge, long room with comfy beds for everyone & 3 bathrooms. PS: The hotel isn't that far from the parking lot but be prepared with some comfy shoes and a backpack, not a suitcase, ideally.
